Wales' last industrial town | FORGED: Football in Steeltown
มุมมอง 5K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
Port Talbot Steelworks is one of the largest steel plants in Europe. It currently employs 4,000 people in the local area. In January 2024, Tata Steel announced that around half of those jobs will be lost. However, Port Talbot's thriving football scene is stepping up to make sure they can offer help, solace and an escape to those in their communities who need it most. A film for the people of Po...

I bought from Surprise Shirts and got a Llantwit Major jersey! 🎉
Great interview, definitely an exciting time for the Cymru leagues!
Fantastic interview 👏 I learned so much. Thank you!
My steel video: th-cam.com/video/e6XtrRhvYYc/w-d-xo.html
My mate buzz had a season there .
I never realised you existed , but you guys made me smile . I’m going to have to come and watch now 😂
Its a crying shame Port Talbot are not in that top league.
I used to live in Llantwit Major
I'm from the town but moved away in 1990, I loved this video.
FairPlay that team talk in dressing room was pure cringe 😂
I wear my Llantwit shirt with pride here in heathen England. 🏴
I absolutely love it
Another industry that we were happy to privatise and sell off.. to end up being sold to a company who don’t care enough about local communities. Another symptom of privatisation not working. Such a pity for the local and surrounding communities.
That is a really vile home kit from the Auld Gold of Carmarthen Town.
Sold more shirts than Cardiff City?! That ain’t hard lads! Good luck to you
Says the gypo. We sell more than you do... and home/away tickets.🤣
Is this a recent thing? Went there to watch them vs Llanelli town around 2016 in the 3rd division and I didn't see anything like this? Cheers. *EDIT* I just worked it out, it was 2015.
Well done, Llantwit Major. Cardiff boy but I did an apprenticeship at RAF St Athan back in the late 70s so had a few mates from Llantwit. Always had a soft spot for the place since then. 👏👍
met racism and violence with love and welsh cakes ha - what a statment
great video well done everyone
This is amazing! Llantwit are everyones 2nd club, its hard not to like them!
Da iawn!! Gwych !! 🦕🏴
Outstanding, great work 🦖
Just found this. It is superb
wow a great short video! love it guys
Viva la March!
Superb piece, I wish noting but the best to all in this clip in such tough times
Nice film. Would be great to see more follow-up shorts, as our town goes through this trauma.
They came for the mines and left devastation. The likes of Westminster and Welsh Labour couldnt give 2 craps about the community left behind. Drakeford and co are a bunch of Unionist loving bastards. I hope people remember this and Plaid cut the strings away from them and become a real opposition.
Great piece! 👏
Brilliant, well said 👏⚽
Such a great piece and a really important story to tell. Well done all, I hope there's more to come.
