    Another good video, I'm trying to avoid watching to many "tutorial " type videos whilst I'm trying to improve my game as I'm also having a few lessons, but this follows pretty much along with what I'm being told to do. I will ask about the tennis ball exercise though. Unfortunately I'm up in Newcastle so can't go to Sam's place.

Yes do ask about the tennis ball drill, however i would have it a guess that each pro had their unique approach, I am sharing these videos to document the journey and hopefully people get value out of it, I know lots of people cant afford lessons so this type of video hopefully helps! Ahh lovely Newcastle! Bit of rain up there, hope you get your indoor setup going!

      Hey Brayden Welcome to the channel! Good to hear you are a lefty! the R10 has been awesome if you are able to get your hands on one i have nothing but good things to say about it. No extra settings or changes you have to make, it just needs to be 6-7 feet behind the ball and you can easily have a a left hander and right hander play a round of sim golf which i have done a few times. Works really well!

      @denhampereiragolf หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you! yes i highly recommend it for all of us practicing at home, 2m and or 7Feet is optimal with good lighting is key. So natural light or a well lit up room makes a big difference. Also make sure you have about 6 feet from the base of the net or impact screen, this is what works well for me and i think falls within Garmin's recommendations aswell.

Please when you get around to it, please make your setup situation as detailed as you can, it would help me alot. Good on Spornia for helping you out. It's not very easy to even find information about their products in this part of the world where I live in Newfoundland, Canada. If I remember correctly they are an Aussie family business. I hope they grow and spread out as a company because if the rest of their stuff is as good as my SPG-7 net they will do well. I was not even able to buy the white drop sheet for my net at the time I bought it. Anyway good luck with your plans, I'm sure you'll be having fun with it and hopefully making even better game improvement videos with it.

    A draw isn't inherently better. Most golfers believe that is the way to go, to be a better golfer you must hit a draw, but forcing a draw turns into a hook. Its great to be able to play a draw, don't get me wrong, but trying to force your swing into a draw is the biggest swing flaw people make when trying to transition from a double to single to scratch handicap. I work with a few waste management players and we are reversing out of the draw with every one. If you are a low swing speed player, a draw isn't as bad. But the higher your swing speed, the more aggressive the ball and club gets and it doesn't turn out well. I swing my driver between 118 and 122 with a 47 inch and around 117 with a 45.5 inch. I occasionally play a draw with the shorter driver, but NEVER when swinging hard. The cut and leaving the face open is by doing nothing, the draw and hooking is by doing something. And if you do not enough or too much, it varies a lot. Meaning that if you stop the rotation of the face it stays open a tad, and the ball cuts. But if you turn it over or close it down, you have varying degrees of this. Its easier to 'do nothing' or 'do very little' consistently, then do more and more to sync with the speed of the swing. Working an inside out swing path is better than turning it over, but it still doesnt control as well as a cut. A cut sits and spins. A hook bores and rolls out. You have a great swing. I have watched a few of your videos now, but as you get stronger you will likely regress forcing all of your swings into a draw. That is different than working on zeroing out your swing, and having it naturally draw. Which may be what youre attempting here. But remember: You can talk to a cut but a hook wont listen.

    • @denhampereiragolf
      @denhampereiragolf หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the comment and watching! i hear you, for me learning how to play draw was not so i can change my shot shape, but more so to learn what it feels like to make impact with the ball from the inside, I want to be able to play a draw aswell as a fade and its been really cool to explore how to draw the ball because its exposed some other parts of my swing and triggered different swing feels that have been a great learning for me. appreciate the input!

    • @dougscott1458
      @dougscott1458 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I love the net, but I'm not getting to hit balls too often yet. Unfortunately I have no indoor heated garage like you, only a 14 by 20 shed that's not heated, and it's still quite cold in Newfoundland with several feet of snow still on the ground. Can't wait for it to start getting warmer and wearing that net out. Having such a short golf season sucks man, so envious of you awesome Australian people. Before my stroke I was a decent golfer with consistent scores of 78 to 84, rarely lower or higher than that, I never kept a handicap or played in tournaments. Last year I finally started again but with the limited control I now have over this broken down aging body lol, I managed rounds between 100 and 110. Years ago those scores would have resulted in lots of swearing and a few broken clubs. Now however, It's just satisfying to play again, and a personal challenge to improve. I love the game of golf, but what I love even more is the extra quality time it allows me to spend with my 27 and 29 year old sons. That's what is really important for me, hope you get to experience having children one day and introducing them to this wonderful game, it will be the best times of your life. ✌@@denhampereiragolf
