Planet Cyclery ZIPP Tangente Tire Review
มุมมอง 1.9K6 ปีที่แล้ว
Planet Cyclery ZIPP Tangente Tire Review
I just purchased some Bivo non insulated stainless steel bottles. The flow is better than my old plastic ones and they disassemble to clean easily. They are also lighter in weight that I thought they would be. I love them and should have purchased them sooner. Yes, it's more expensive but no plastics in my water for better health and it's a forever bottle.
hey great video ! One question tho , how does the non insulated bottle hold up against normal plastic cycling bottles on a hot ride in the sun. Does the water heat up more in the bivo non insulated bottle ?
What's up Tobin? How are you???
Plastic micro and nano particles from food and water containers are far more pernicious and harmful than I realized. And PBA-free means nothing since the chemicals that replace PBA are just as bad. If I competed in races, I'd save my plastic bottles for race day, and use metal the rest of the time. (Pro tip: do not microwave food in plastic, even if the instructions tell you too.)
What about the weight
Yes sir I purchased my fox racing rampage pro carbon helmet from planet cyclery thanks guys 😁🤟
Thanks for this review😃
Cat eye viz 450? Your thoughts?
I have this exact same bike only in the Hi Mod version and I love this bike. The mechanical dura ace is excellent and quick shifting. I never rode any DI2 so I can't comment on the differences between mechanical and electronic shifting but other riders say it's minimal. Awesome bike.
Regardless of features, materials, etc...a bottle without a nozzle cap is pointless.
I bought a 700x44 to mount on a 23iw and it looks tiny!
Great video. I also love the Zipp Tangente Tires. Q: Are all the Zipp Tangente Speed tires tubeless?
A light that lasts 200 hrs vs 2 or 20 is far superior! A light where you can carry a spare battery or two easily vs having to charge a rechargeable light for several hours is better, too! Where is the bright, long lasting rear light where I can use a rechargeable 18650 battery AND carry a spare? That would be the best light, bright/long run time/immediate battery change IF needed AND rechargeable. Wow. Am I the only one who wants those four features?!
Yeah I have a bunch of the plastic rechargeable type lights such as the Cygolite hotshot, NR Omega, Serfas Shield, and more and I was never very happy with them. I've had several break, some at the switch, one died from a rain storm, Runtimes diminished, etc. I wanted something better, built like a tank, rechargeable with replaceable 18650 batteries so I could carry spares, bright, etc. I actually came across something that fit my needs by chance. It's made by Armytek and is firstly designed as a headlamp, but you can also get a bicycle mount that allows for front or rear bike mounting. The Light I found is the Armytek Wizard C2 WR (warm). It is unique in that it has warm white and red leds that you can quickly switch between with a double click. The warm white max output is 1020 lumens while the red max output is 230 lumens. I use the light daily as a headlamp too. It's completely waterproof and drop proof to 10 meters and has a 10 year warranty. It has a strong magnet tail cap that you can use for working on the car, appliances, or wherever. It comes with a good 18650 battery and the charging cable is usb with a magnetic connection to the light to charge. The retail price is $85, but remember it is not just a bike tail light or head light, it is also a headlamp, EDC light with pocket clip, work light. Armytek sells their bicycle mount for $10, but I already had some mount that were designed for flashlights to be mounted on the bike and that worked. In my opinion It's well worth the money as I use it every day biking or not.

Inspiring video - well done!!
Baap dada ne kbhi chlaayi hai cycle bandar skal ke
Great video! Uh..did you film this on a boat?
I got an S-Works with the SRAM eTap AXS and it doesn't hold a candle to the Shimano Dura Ace, which I've had on my other bike for several years. I have never dropped the chain with the Dura Ace; I dropped it several times on my first ride with the SRAM when shifting the front derailleur. It got better with time, but I still feel uncomfortable and stressed trying to make sure the levers are pressed perfectly simultaneously. It's a major flaw that you never have to deal with when using the Dura Ace. I also don't like batteries everywhere, and having to check 4 sensors to make sure the batteries are charged.
can i put tubes in this wheelset for emergency flats??? thank you
Yes, definitely! Any tubeless wheelset can also be run with tubes.
Great review. I am running the 37c on my CX/Gravel bike. Mounted tubeless on a set of ROL Range Alloy clincher wheels (23mm internal width) . Mounting was a complete pain requiring metal levers. (Which I hate using) and A LOT of effort. After they sealed pretty well only losing 5 psi overnight. I am a little paranoid about running over rough terrain as if they ever do get a cut that will not seal I dread trying to break and reseat with a tube on the trail. Honestly I don’t know if the paranoia will overwhelm me or I will keep running them.
What about the new CatEye ViZ series especially the 450?
I'm getting sea sick from watching you rock from side to side.
Is there a difference between the normal version and the RAW version other than color? Why is the RAW version so much cheaper?
Hi! The Raw version doesn't have the silicone exterior coating. The silicone adds some extra grip in the hand and prevents rattling, though we have found the shape itself keeps the bottle quiet. In metal cages, you will hear a little rattle with the Raw.
Are they double lined to keep cool drinks cool?
Hi Matthew, the Bivo One and Duo are single wall, but keep your eyes peeled for an insulated version launching soon!
Water bottles come in different materials (steel or plastic) shapes, volumes, insulted or not, and with or without caps (to protect from the dirt). So I wrote a book, My Journey to Knowing How to Properly Carry Water on a Bicycle. I hate cleaning bottles -- seems useless. I worry about molding.
Hi Peter! The Bivo bottles are easy to clean in the dishwasher, which is a major bonus! The straw and nozzle are food grade silicone so can also be put in the dishwasher. We'd recommend washing the lid by hand with mild dish soap.
Pretty cool idea but doesn’t the plastic straw negate the advantage of the stainless steel bottle? For this idea to really benefit from moving away from plastic then it shouldn’t have any plastic in it. That’s just my thought.
The 'straw' is actually made from a silicone.
@@planetcyclery3596 worth adding that the cap is polypropylene. Most cycling bottles are LDPE which leaches significantly more plastic into your water/electrolyte than PP!
I love Hanna Grant. Top protector. Stainless without plastic veneer (allows for thermal sanitation of the bottle). Best part of stainless bottles? ...they can be sanitized at temp without deformation or plastic breakdown (thus they tend to be cleaner). The straw feature is awesome, but complicates cleaning. I'd prefer a stainless straw (non-threaded) but removable, for easy cleaning and to reduce hydration contact with plastic. The top, ideally made of stainless with a silicone gasket (removable), and/or a top that is very quickly and easily cleanable (no nooks and crannies).
Ill buy a bigger one in a neutral color!
Check out the Bivo Duo in black!
The dirt on nozzle: ALL BOTTLES have that “issue”! Lol BUT great bottle. This is the only stainless steel water bottle that solves that flow problem
Yea I guess we should have specified the issue is the opening is very large and dirt and gunk get into it easier than a regular bottle.
Thanks, nice bottle idea, and I'm in once they get a cap. BTW, I wish you could get your slow shipping resolved. I go elsewhere most of the time, simply because they have faster shipping. Just trying to help!
Hey John, not sure how large your orders were in the past. We offer free 2 day shipping over $150. Otherwise its usually USPS, which we all know how that can be. I am going to bring this up and discuss with the team! Thanks for watching!
@@planetcyclery3596 Order was quite small and the tracking said it would be a Friday delivery. Received today, 2 days earlier than the tracking said. So I take it all back...at least most of it! ;)
Thanks for this. The flow comparison was excellent, definitely sold me on this
Why not put web links in your comments section for each product you’re reviewing so we can quickly order them without searching and perhaps getting the wrong product?
Hi - need some help to select the right gravel tire. I currently have the Bontrager GR2 Team Issue Gravel Tire (700c 40mm) - but get flats all the time (even when i ride on the normal street - 1 week riding - flat - 4 flats on the back tire, 1 flat on the front tire in the last 4 weeks). I got the Tannus Armour Tire Inserts - but that doesnt fix the flat problem. Can you recomment me another gravel tire? which one has the best quality and prevents flats Vittoria, Continental or WTB or something else? My terrain: Road and also some Offroad (forrest with gravel and fine sand). I would say 60% road, 40% offroad. I have a Trek Dual Sport 3 2020 with these rims: Bontrager Tubeless Ready Disc, 32-hole, presta valve. (700c) Can you also recommend a small upgrade on the rims (also with TLR)?

In the 29er OK ?
I bought the standard carbon Ultegra disc version of this bike 2 weeks ago and I’m smashing all my PRs I set on m6 Emonda. This bike is a beast.
Merci thenks
Max psi?
50 PSI is the max recommended tire pressure.
All I want to know is how do I tell when the battery is low? With most there seems no way to tell.
700x40 on Cube Nuroad Pro Gravel. Very good grip in dirty condition and good in MTB track
Cracked the Boa dial off on a hard object, and snapped the retainer ring sewn into the boot. Rendered the entire shoe useless. Boa dial on the outside? Never.
100 lumens is not enough. Why not 1000
Would have been nice to see the lights in the ON position.. Who does a video on lighting and not have them on??
Ha ha
Worst tires money can buy, got two flats with these in a space of 5 months... one of them was straight after instillment. Ran these at 50 PSI and on the road type surfaces. Really disappointed in these tires.
Hi. I never ride in the dark so I am interested in backlights for daytime use. Once a year I ride a race here in Sweden which takes about 10-12 hours. So... I am also interested in the battery time. But the most importance is the visibility in daytime. Could you please add a video with the lights you showed in daytime at 100 meter, 200 meters and so forth. It would be a really good help to see it in "real life" how the lights looks from a upcoming cars point of view.
All we want to BRIGHT and LONG lasting..
This was a waste. LOL
Have you guys seen this in person, the quality of carbon does not look good.
....filming at sea?
Niteflux redzone 8......have a look ,worth the investment in safety , even had the police say it was very noticeable against the backdrop of city lights where most bike lights blend in.
