I had no idea Mr. McLennan was a bird hunter. I now have even more respect for him.

The Cowichan river is not that great. Seriously! Yes, it has browns, which makes it kind of unique as far as VI rivers go, but most of the rainbows are small spawners dropping down from the lake and steelhead runs unfortunately nothing to what they were 40 years ago. Just saying. Great video though, enjoy watching this threesome enjoying the outdoors together.

I loved the film. The attention and emphasis on the dogs and dog work are of particular interest to me. Note the hunters guns remained open until the dogs pointed. I was a perfect late season hunt. Not too much action but just enough.

I hunted sharps & ringnecks on the Blood reservation in 2015 (I think it was). Lots of sharps, pheasants...not so much. A good little dry town, is Cardston~ :-)
