I was stationed at Camp Geiger with HQCO 8th, then 6th Marines my whole enlistment from 1986-1989 as a Comm Center Operator. This was when there were still open squadbay barracks. The heads outside the Comm Center were completely open as well (and old). Didn't have to go to SOI there back in those days. It was pretty much considered the 'armpit' of the Marine Corps. They were starting to upgrade the old buildings there when I left. Looks much different now.

I was there in beginning of 2009 there was only British there. I never saw other US forces until later in 2009. I flew in and there was 1 platoon from my unit and the Brits. We had 3 tents 2 piss tubes and plenty of wag bags. There was no sand bag shelters. We cleaned our uniforms in ammo cans. I'd like to know his unit, cause this sounding like bullshit.
