Why didn't you mention Qingque? She is the main mono quantum DPS, not seele.
I do think Bronya is weaker than Tingyun. E1S1 is when she becomes the same level as her though as she can regenerate skill points periodically. She is SP neutral if you make her into a hyperspeed character but that does reduce her power as this is less powerful than a speed tuned Bronya who constantly buffs the hypercarry.
mono teams never meant to be a thing in this game, it's something that community slapped a tag on it just because it worked
It kinda is. The game already have abilities that gain efficiency based on actions/existence of characters of certain type. We have: -Sparkle that have a major trace that additionally buffs quantum ally with atk% based on number of ally in team with quantum type. -Silverwolf that guarantees quantum weakness implant if the team are filled with quantum only character -DHIL's E6 that buffs him with RES PEN based on ult casted by imaginary character in the team

nice video! but imo, the problem in mono quantum is that silverwolf simply sucks. Seela+sparke+robin+huohuo is still a very decent team in present since both acheron and firefly cannot benefit from the trio. The trio sparke+robin+huohuo is simply the most broken kit for quintessential dps. As long as there is no necessity in breaking enemies (as in forgotten hall now), silverwolf remains garbage and so does mono quantum

I'd say mono-quantum sucks because mono-quantum in itself is not a good team comp. Silver Wolf is great though. Just not in mono-quantum; as she's good in the Acheron team.
My man have never use sw The single high defence decrease is good and adding a weakness while decrease the corresponding element resistance is not bad
no, sw is really great especially in moc. seele is the problem, her damage falls heavily in moc or any fights with elites because she needs to kill a target in order to trigger her passive. This is the reason why qingque is considered more consistent even with her rng skill and overall just better than seele edit: I have a built seele with 70 / 192 and her damage can barely keep up with my other characters
The real problem with Silverwolf is that she can only implant weakness 1 enemy every turn and Def shred 1 enemy every 3 turns. While Seele, Qingque and Jade are made for multi-target scenarios with respawning mobs, and Xueyi doesn't even need Quantum weakness. So SW only shines against bosses, but there still isn't a Quantum DPS with massive single target damage that doesn't need to hit/kill multiple mobs. You can actually use SW as the DPS and she is almost as strong at single target as Seele.
I thought the whole gimmick of mono quantum was when you weakness broke the enemy because if what the weakness break for quantum does and. The aftermath damage would be insane given the characters all used the quantum set wouldn't it be stonks 💹?
I would argue that Mono-quantum has a lot of potential in endgame modes if you’re willing to exist without Fu Xuan. You can put Xueyi/QQ as main DPS, Jade as Sub-DPS, Sparkle as buffer, and silver wolf to apply quantum weakness to bosses (you can probably ignore the weakness on non-bosses in modes like PF) I don’t think the comp is gonna be full-on meta, but it’s an option and could work for zero-cycles in MoC.
Seele's kit is still mechanically one of the best eg relatively low energy cost and extra turn mechanic, extra speed etc things that can cheat the turn based system. The issue of her rather low multipliers can be solved with more vertically invested harmony and nihility units. There is a reason why even in 2.2 for sweaty players the unit that can 0 cycle at the lowest cost ( limited 5 star chars, eidolons + signature lightcones) is still Seele . For the average and majority of the player base who like to horizontally invest instead or not be so sweaty about the game seele will feel a lot less comfortable than newer units with a higher floor but lower ceiling. eg During Acheron's release the aventurine boss in MoC 12 that was meant to shill acheron couldn't even be 0 cycled by a 3 cost team with Acheron while it was doable with Seele.

@@Mr.MasterOfTheMonsters no she can do just fine with only harmony MC, she actually has a little counter synergy with Ruan Mei because of how her enemy delays prevent her from triggering her followup attack faster
the problem with mono quantum was, until now, all content was based on how fast you can kill the enemy, and silverwolf is just flat out worse than harmonies in helping your dps do this. seele performed way better with tingyun, ruan mei, and later robin, so there was never any reason to use the team. xueyi enjoyed the break, but shes blast and silverwolf is singletarget, and now she just runs a superbreak team. same issue with qingque. ironically the best user of mono quantum for killing enemies is acheron since she actually benefits from silverwolfs debuffs LUCKILY they've added a new gamemode where weakness break is ACTUALLY relevant, and silverwolf is one of the BEST supports in it. its because of her that seele is able to be competitive on BOTH halves, even non-quantum weak ones like argenti. tl;dr the problem with mono quantum isnt seele (whos still one of the best dps), its silverwolf. but now apocalyptic shadow is out, and silverwolfs meta again, so the team can actually perform well.
I don't know how to tell you this but the only reason sw has a slot in one of the best teams in apoc is because archeron requires a nihility debuffer and sw is kinda the only 5* option in the game. also seele is just fine these days. after all the hp inflation we got you need something absurd like 100/200 crit to even oneshot the side mobs in moc. it's just not really worth it when you could just RRAT or archeron it.

@@Internextionyou can 0 cycle with arlan given the right supports. sw is fine for apoc but you cannot really ignore mechanics here since the boss a) has massive damage reduction as long as its minions are alive and b) has massive damage reduction (80%) to its off elements. so you can't just break the boss ignore the adds and still do full damage and you can't bring mono quantum into a non qua weak fight. her implant is not that useful here. whats left are her debuffs: 53% def shred and 10% all res reduction which is better than what even pela provides, yes but also single target and you need to use skillpoints. dont get me wrong sw is still good with archeron but that is only because of archerons nihility requirement. every other team would rather have a tingyun or some other harmony.

As a casual player I really don’t see a problem with the difficulty because most casuals probs aren’t gonna want to do end game content anyway it’s not that important and as for the story difficulty I mean come on just regroup later and try to get better at the game or just farm if you’re under leveled and a little lacking in relics
His argument is that you might have trouble with just doing the story if you are a casual player with no thought on meta. Infamously many people got stuck on the scarab and Aventurine. Usually the answer to these problems is to just bring 2x sustain.

It’s weird. I started HSR 2 weeks ago and I already have bailu, welt, himeko, yanqing, and ruan mei. Granted I was lucky with himeko (4 pity) and Ruan Mei (1 pity) but still, I got all these 5 star characters with just casual playing. Meanwhile, it took me 4 months of constant grinding and hardcore exploration to get 170 wishes to guarantee Ayaka, my first limited five star in Genshin.
I dont see a problem since waifu happens to be meta

It is true but, as you mentioned, it also needs to be kept in perspective : absolutely optimal relics are not NEEDED to clear even the end game content (so far !) Up to the player to farm for them or to be happy with what they have and play something else until the next patch

5:49 the game actually makes it so you can't lose. I fought Scaramouche during an Archon quest where Scaramouche becomes Wanderer. In that quest, my Scaramouche died when I was using him and the game just revived him I'd rather a hard fight than a fight that they don't even let you lose
I always buy the blessings since 1.4, only got 43 char and 6 limited LC. It's impossible to pull all characters unless you're giga lucky lol (Yes, I farm everything and yes I do fullstar for the last 8 month)
I think you need to realize though, Bronya's meant for hyper speed 161 or -1 carry speed builds, cause she can than cycle SP auto attack while buffing DPS at same time Boothill loves Bronya for the simple reason of easy rotations Boothill needs
Honestly my fav team with bronya is where she NAs all the time with 170 spd as her NA advances herself forward and has 100% crit rate which allow for surprising damage since she is always built with crit dmg. I only use her skill when I need to bring my sustain or support forward (she normally attacks at the front and back of my team before the enemy because of my NA advance forward). Hopefully with the ne Kalpagni set I can get her even higher but I already have spd 8 and 9 on vonwacq so it'll be hard to beat. Also if you get e1 firefly but thats situational and whale territory.
It is natural for games of this style that weapons or characters from future versions do a better job than those that were meta in the past, but just because they are no longer meta does not mean that they are bad, you can still continue using your Tingyun, or your Bronya or any other character from 1.0 perfectly, in the end what matters is enjoying the game instead of crying because they removed your favorite character from the S tier of the meta lol. And about how generous they are with their rewards? Would you rather have barely any characters, have to choose between your favorites from the new version/have to skip the new character/not be able to get their weapon and have to wait several months to have the other one because you don't have enough wishes? Or be able to have both without having to spend tons of time farming? It's really stupid to prefer Genshin just because they give less rewards. I mean, you really prefer not to have almost any characters 💀

I have been playing since the beginning of 2.2 and the only 2 5* I have managed to get have been Bailu and his E1 in addition to some tickets for Firefly, and you are saying that you got 8 diferents??? @@sebas-qn5se i just buy that thing that gives 90 stellar jades daily, and yes they were different. From 2.0 i got black swan, dan heng and sparkle 2.1 acheron, aventurine, 2.2 robin and fu xuan, and clara from the permanent banner and I have almost 40 pity for firefly so..
@@apotatowithnorights Well, quite a good account ngl. Even so, it has nothing to do with being generous, but rather that you are very lucky. Remember that having a large number of rolls does not guarantee getting a 5*, even hitting the hard pity you can lose 50/50.
Ngl kinda an L take on meta and skill issue honestly. herta, pela, tinyun is still very prominent in the meta and a lot of people still using them even hardcore CN player, not only that new release character and old 5 star character still compliments this 3 such as himeko and herta; SW and pela; robin and tinyun, you don't necessarily need Mei too make robin better either. another thing is bronya is still pretty good and sometimes used with sparkle too advance forward the dps by alot enabling atk/hp boots instead of spd. as for the lack of skill of course it exist, people that cant strategize properly lack the skill to strategize so it is a skill issue and if you ty to say that you need X character for X weakness it's design that way so players do want to strategize and hoyoverse is trying to cover every single element with a free character
The only mistake I make about this video is forgetting Herta as a meta character, Pela is strong, but I already mentioned her. But the rest? NO, they're just mid compared to the newer ones. Using fire to break fire, using sustainer to protect your team, using support to buff your dps, using dps to deal damage. You can't call such simple thing as a skill, it's just a common sense. What makes this game feels hard is because their high dps check, not the strategy. Try E7 if you want a real strategy turn base gacha game, especially their RTA.
@@jilonyt If that's the case even the dps and supports in genshin is no different especially if you compare xiangling to hutao, yes xiangling is f2p but hutao is just better in general. the same goes for xingqiu, yes xingqiu is good but yelan or furina is still better. as far as i'm concern only bennet that does not fall into this for most character. you saying tinyun is mid is the same as saying xingqiu as mid
this is just true with every hoyoverse game if you play only for the gameplay. pulling for new characters and building your current ones to be even better. why i play for the interesting story lol i love the hsr story. this problem is the same with genshin impact and maybe even hi3 too. why i burnt out of genshin impact, literally nothing to do once i reached ar60 and so burnt out from playing everyday that i just didnt enjoy the story anymore.

"No release characters are top of the meta" looks at PF and herta and Himeko, and Himeko is also preforming extremely well on current patch MOC 12. Bronya and Tingyun are still used in many 0 cycle MOC setups aswell, which are the highest difficulty thing you can do in star rail.
The first part, I forgot about Herta. Himeko? Nope, don't put Herta and himeko on the same tier. top tier characters means she doesn't need to depend on enemy weaknesses. Bronya and tingyun? No, the newerr harmony are much better

@@jilonyt Yes but when they enemies have the correct weaknesses, like the current MOC 12 Himeko is literal the highest pick rate dps and even then for PF himeko is on most people’s tier list for second or third best dps behind Herta lmao. You can go find many 0 cycles of last patch that use both of the older Harmony’s together with the newer ones. If a character is capable of 0 cycling they’re pretty damn good.

I've been playing both games F2P consistently since they came out and I've gotten every other character and it's signature lightcone in Star Rail with about 200 tickets worth of jades to spare every time. I'm pretty sure I could have gotten almost every character, but I'd rather skip some I don't care too much about to get copies of my favorites. I can't say the same about Genshin, even though it's been out for more than twice as long, and it releases fewer new characters. I don't think I've ever even pulled in the weapon banner because I can never afford it if I'm pulling for the character.

i think the main reason is gameplay when you play genshin you need one team to complete almost all the content in the game except abyss but if you play star rail they encourage you to build up as much as you can on in other words a lot of characters meta or not it does not matter cus each character has it own scenerio where that character is the meta and the change of content also change the meta (enemies)

Tingyun’s role servers different purpose, Bronya is for big damage increase, Sparkle is for extra skill point and tingyun is for ult charge I still don’t know why people love comparing different harmony, for now tingyun has no “superior” replacement other than perhaps HuoHuo you can argue about, but huohuo is a healer.
Actually "Meta" doesn't stand for "most effective tactics available". It's a short term for metagaming. It just became a backronym (people basically made meta into an ackronym years later) ☝️🤓 Also I just want to say that even if those points are the case that it doesn't mean that genshin should stay like this. Giving HSR and HI3 players a bunch of free stuff (especially on the anniversary) while genshin gets one 10 pull is crazy. Even if we exclude other hoyoverse games genshin still treats it's players badly compared to other gacha games. Like one of the biggest points of why genshin doesn't do anything like that is because unlike other gacha games it doesn't have to compete. Games like Wuthering Waves won't come even close to GI success, so why even bother? (That's imo the actual reason why)

She's just lying. To get every character (4 total) per patch youd need 600 warps assuming you lose 50/50 but will get them at soft pity at 75. 150x4=600 And HSR only gives 100 puls per patch. So yeah

And why you're counting with the worst case possible? Is it really how your account looks like? Then you already answer your question. And don't forget if this game has a rerun banner and already reach patch 2.x. So 4 new characters per patch is definitely a bullsht
@@eduardogc1404 even if its every new character its still lying. Even if she assumes 100 pulls per patch for 2 new ones youd need 150x2 = 300. Literally 200 more pulls. What they give you (100 pulls) its only 1 NON event guaranteed character OR non event light cone. I actually got 2 bronyas light cones and 1 welts and not a single non even character. So yeah. Its still crp.
How is it more 'generous'? So far we only had 2 things that genshin does not: 1. 1 Free event 5 star 1. 1 additional standard 5 star once you make 300 pulls in the standard banner And while those 2 things are nice they do little for the players. As a new player I didnt feel that much better just having Ratio as a only 5 star dps with no 5 star supports for him. As a new player, I have no access to additional standard 5 starts for about 4 to 6 months (and most of them kinda suck anyway, himeko is good for PF and Bronya is a nice support but thats literally it. They all dont do much for your account) I wont comment on a 'better' weapon banner because you STILL can very much lose on it and it still takes 140-160 warps to get a weapon if youre unlucky. Its still too many warps for a stat stick. Its not that generous You still only can get ONE event character per patch and no event weapons unless you donate. 1 character out of 4 released and no weapon isnt 'generous'
Just type honkai star rail patch x.x stellar jade count and compare it with genshin. The difference is pretty big. In 2.2, HSR gives 100 pulls for f2p while genshin only 70 in 4.7 (Source sportskeeda). They also breakdown the sources are. I don't understand if you still think this isn't generous enough

Even IF we will give it theres a difference in 30 pulls (but really I wont because it assumes that you hit every node with 36 stars and get every chest and every quest which most people wont) its still ONE NON ewent 5 star. Out of FOUR five stars released either way you only get one if youre lucky because its not 160 pulls for a guaranteed one. No, its not 'generous'. Generous is when you can get most new characters e0 as f2p and games like that exist. HSR and genshin arent one of those games

Dude, this is a gacha game, you need to have at least one good luck, right? If you really think you can get all the new characters per patch, then the problem is not the generosity of the game. Generosity could be even getting 1 or 2 guaranteed - so guaranteed Jade OR FF. Getting 1 five star in 1,5-2 months isnt 'generous'. No amount of your excuses will prove otherwise And tell me what game is that? Because I've only seen that thing in an idle gacha game, or low grossing game - I dont know the names because I generally speaking dont play gachas and I dont care to remember them, it might be arknight or something else and it wont make a difference. I used to play warframe and there you can get anything at any time including all the characters, weapons or skins without paying a dime and the 0,1% that you cant get is just extra bs you dont need anyway. Also the fact that star rail releases two 5 stars each version, while genshin usually releases one (sometimes two and sometimes none)
You realize thats a bad thing dont you? That means you will be able to get LESS characters in HSR
@@vermilion6966 that was my point, you get some more pull, but characters come twice as fast. So if put into perspective, they give more or less the same rewards. If genshin gave the same amount of rewards star rail does you would be able to get almost every new character unless you were extremely unlucky.

@@pxndavic that's just not true. I mean If you are lucky sure you can but not in general. HSR on average gives 90 pulls per patch, and genshin 70. Neither of them give you enough to guarantee a limited five star. The difference is that on HSR you need to get two 5 star and in genshin only one (usually). Considering that you want every new character of course
You dont even need to pull just to get good at hsr you dont need meta someone already manage to get to upto acheron banner without pulling once in any banner you only need meta for the end game not story mode its pretty easy if you have sustaine you know(story mode i mean) youre explanation dont have enough research even i dont know what im talking about only i know is just that you need a right build for a character to get good everyone can be good(except arlan) in hsr as long as ypu have the right build
So what if someone manage to get to Acheron banner without pulling anyone? Did you really believe if some random people on the internet can do that, then everyone should be able to do that too? That's what you mean by enough research? I keep mentioning the word nerf on story mode because a lot of people feels struggled, even when they are pulling. And the fact that the developer, the one with accurate research data answered with a nerf, then it means the developer itself understand the story mode is just too hard, right?
That's if they play from the start.. it could be close to impossible to best her if u never pull if u start in the current versions due to lack of free 4 stars and free dr ratio

Imagine playing gacha for the 'story'
Funneling all into one stat makes it more complicated to farm, when it comes to Jingliu i decided to go for a fast jingliu, with 140 SPD, 50% Crit rate and 238% damage, while it doesnt sound like a giant crit ratio, she does 0 clear super consistently due to having less stress of getting all rolls in crit damage having spd, to optimize jingliu already one shots most of the enemies. Garnering too much crit values helps a lot with bosses but when it comes to destruction units i would suggest trying SPD to optimize kill times given they specialize in AoE, this also worked wonders on my Blade. Also SPD contributes to toughness break as well, specially if you have characters that advance like sparkle or bronya, while you might not see giant numbers it makes the fights a lot smoother. DHIL on the other hand will not benefit from SPD hence his higher scaling despite coming around close banners to jingliu and blade, as even making him faster wont contribute due to his high skill point consumption being the main factor of his insane scaling, therefore its important to know that yes, you might not get close to DHIL's, Acheron's, and some standard banner units like Clara's and Welt's ceilings of levels but there's so much they can do mechanically and SPD is another stat to take in mind.
