I Made A Metal Shamrock For Saint Patrick's Day
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Today we will be casting a metal shamrock. I was going to cast a 4 leaf clover, but I found out that Shamrocks only consisted of 3 leaves. Gotta keep it real haha. Anyways I hope ya'll enjoy the video! Thanks for watching!

Today we will be making Mitsuri's Katana Guard from Demon Slayer. I bought some epoxy resin for the first time and I realize its pretty hard to use when your garage is at cold temperatures. The epoxy resin gets too viscous in the cold...But casting the aluminum base wasn't an issue in the cold. Learned a lot and overall fun little project in my workshop! Thanks for watching!

I Found A Car Radiator...So I Melted It

Good Afternoon! Today we will be melting a car radiator! The radiator was taken out of a 1991 NA Miata and was pretty easy to break down. The aluminum portion was very light but I was still surprised it only yielded this much metal. I bought some flap discs for polishing but I still need more practice to get a mirror finish. Overall it was a fun melt! Hope you all enjoy the video!

Whats up guys! Today I will be making Shinobu's sword guard from the anime Demon Slayer. There were a lot of steps involved in this so it took quite a bit of time. I created an STL file with a CAD software. 3D printed the guard with my resin printer. Used petrobond to create a mold and finally casted the guard with scrap aluminum. Good Morning TH-cam! Today we be melting down a 6 foot ladder I found on facebook marketplace. The breakdown took a lot longer than I expected but it was not as bad as crushing soda cans. Good Morning TH-cam! I collected over 2000 pop tabs to melt. I used a 3d printer to print out a MASSIVE soda tab to cast it into. All in all, I think it turned out pretty good. @@DuckShop no Problem! The More Surface area Metal has; the More it will be oxidized/slag will appear. If you want a lot of metal you should melt CRUSHED cans. And if you have small pieces/dust, you should place a small steel plate on the crucible after filling it ofc. This is because the more oxygen metal reacts with, Yk the drill, more slag will appear!.. I hope this helps 😀

Melted less than half and got 663.7g so probably a little over 1kg haha. Need to extract more next time!!
Nice bars, your slag contains lots of aluminium. You could melt the slag again to obtain an extra bar.
