Rangshikhar Gompa was established by Rimpochey Cheten Tshering popularly known as Rangshikhar Rimpochey who is now residing in Chhumey Bumthang.
As most of the Lhakhangs of Rangshikhar Gompa were damaged by recent disaster (earth quake) Tshampa Tshering Duba nephew of Rimpochey who is also Lama of Gompa has initiated to construct new Lhakhang with modern technology to restore all the relics of the damaged Lhakhangs and also to prevent damage from disaster. Since the fund allocated by the government for the construction of new Lhakhang was not enough, some donations had been made from the various devotees and relatives of Rimpochey to complete the new Lhakhang. Lhakhang is now almost completed. A group of happy family made trip to Rangshikhar Gompa.
