Is it possible to do this in Premier Pro ? Addes those text effects direclty there without AE?
Thank you Tony, really appreciate the information you’ve shared 😊
Literally five seconds after I pressed the like button, you said: 'Thank you for the like, I see that you liked the video. I appreciate that as well'. Thought you were a wizard for a moment
Thanks Tony. I started off just editing my own gaming footage….i know this is 2 years later but my passion for it is so on fire. I wanna edit like tv shows, trailers, almost anything I can get my shifty hands on. Thanks Tony.
Dude this is awesome!! Thanks for going through this!!
Thanks for showing me what mister horse is
Hey Tony Will you be able to this exact thing in m4 mini base incase if you have it !
I bought a m4 mac mini 16 gigs base😅😊
how is irt for editng'
Yea im kinda struggling with this lol. Ive got the skills but no one to work for so i dont have a portfolio other than private gigs and they wont let me share.
Thanks a lot for the test !
These are terrible to remove. The tightest airpod case ever
guess you could call that good security right
Yeah... Kinda. I'd put davinci resolve between avid and premier. Since after the work in avid is done, most places will move the project into resolve to do any colour work, and its becoming more common to do the vfx in there aswell, unless it's a project that is heavily reliant on vfx, in which case, don't worry too much about it, they'll have vfx editors specially for that, thats for them to worry about lol.
You are the real tech guy ,others are just talk.great man ,this how videos shud be ,there shud be proper testing
Mariah for president
She is cute though 😅
19:32 who farted ayo
YES finally!!! A video that’s in-depth testing! Thank you!!
Are you going to buy the base model?
@@oppoqqq117 I might just buy the 16gb, I’ve heard people having issues with premiere pro for the 8Gb but I will say, the 8gb is impressive for what you are getting
No handwriting to text support
Just started this video but I totally agree with Mariah about premiere having the best audio editing capabilities! I think that is an aspect that not many people talk about when they make the "switching from premiere to...." videos.
does nobody know about DaVinci Resolve? or is it considered bad?
The Human-Spider 👀
Great talk with lots of takeaways... Big takeaway for me was giving yourself an out as an editor ala obligations etc as I've pulled 17hr plus edit sessions in the past as editing is my favourite thing to do and when you get in that flow state with the creative juices flowing it's always hard to walk away (intended irony ha ha) but I've also suffered back pain as a result so I've come to realise with age that life balance is very important and with it, time management. Another great video and I loved that you both graciously gave time to the other by not talking over each other or trying to finish the others thought etc.
Wow! Tony what a genuinely beautiful authentic video, I was hooked from the start, whilst hooking up a 2nd monitor and playing this just made me stop at times and sit, as the emotion involved and your genuine life appreciation for things that have happened on your journey thus far. Awesome gratitude! Your channel deserves way more traction but you know what you're doing et all... Hope you don't throw the towel in as yes it's undervalued, for now, maybe not always and your content is quality. Your sincerity of making a channel of quality rather than chasing subs, likes etc to create financial gain shines through. I stumbled on to your channel as I too have found anomalies sourcing editing work on YTJobs, things that just didn't add up ala project vagueness and $1000 to refer someone etc. I find it bizarre that some people supply links to give you a walk through on how they do their videos, as I believe in your quote of, a good editor should be able to watch content and know how certain things were achieved and if they've never created that certain effect, they should know how it can be done. Thank you for this video and others that I've watched today AND have an awesome day!🙂
😍😍😍
I can't edit very well myself mostly because i can't get the motivation to do it so i'm looking into getting a editor and im not sure how much to offer. It's mostly nice little touches like subtitles, effects, some keyframing on some things if i specify that i need emphasis on it but it may become more common but i will probably experiment with it a little. I dont think i will ask for any revisions because any editing that's better than mine will be good and I'll be open to any ideas my editor has to make the video entertaining. the more basic editing like combing through footage, adding the voiceover, the end screen and screenshots on screen will be done by me so how much should i offer for 1 hour of footage generally? I only wan to make 1 video a month for now and make more in the future. i do want to offer a good pay but i can only go up to about $200 tops
GeorgeNotFound female version :/
I just started my TH-cam channel for the third time…every time in the past I’ve burned out so thanks for sharing… Your words made me feel heard in someway
what are u showing is irrelevant
Hey tony.. we need more crazy stuff .. subbed✌️👌 🇱🇰
What to do about scammers? All i encountered on facebook was people saying they will pay huge more then hundreds of dollars for small edits
these vids are super useful thank you!!
this amazing podcast or interview. i liked it very well, don't be discourage about the view it gets you guys are cool
Wow, just found this video and want to say a huge thank you to you and Mariah for sharing her experience as a female video editor at the most well-known tech channel! I am also a video editor, working on videos for 3 channels now (on of our channels is 'TheFigCo', and it was useful to know about experience in MKBHD team, workflow and work life balance. I'm only 1 year in this profession, never thought I end up as a video editor, but it was always my passion. Our 2 editors are using DaVinci Resolve, and I'm the only one who loves FinalCut and I'm grateful that it's okay haha :) So thank you! That's an interesting journey and so unusual that Mariah has like a 9-5 normal schedule. I personally work remotely but I love it, built my own discipline so now I can handle my tasks. And also trying to fit my own youtube channel into this schedule )
will the 24 gb ram be enough for heavy editing and graphics?
This gonna be a banger fr
You got that right!
Thank you.
Amazing video! It might be the editing style, but I think it would be nice to see more personality in your interviews. Right now, it feels like I'm reading a blog post or a Q&A with very little interaction between you and your guests. There's a lack of reactions, laughs, or personality. I watched until the end because the questions were really interesting and detailed-great job on that! However, adding these extras would add more color and make longer videos like this more fun and engaging to watch. The Colin & Samir channel is a great example of what I'm describing. Thank you for this video again, Tony!
Bro your videos are awesome and informative, even the video quality is fabulous i am inspired by your editing and content. Keep pushing yourself . We are supporting you, love from India ❤
Thank you for the comment, I’ll do my best to give you all the best advice I can.
Great interview Tony, glad to see the exposure of a talent editor like Raya, and her opinion of a healthy work-life balance. Keep it up!
Thank you for this video! I am going through the same thing as an editor, and I am currently burned out. I have no idea how to get out of it, but I start having issues with starting to work at all: from someone who worked 12+hr a day to not getting started; if I take a weekend off to work on my personal life stuff then I am almost behind with work; I don't sleep well nor enough, and then I have a rush and I do in one day what I didn't do in 3 days but then I am having a hard time again. Trying to find a balance now too- hope you are better and if you got any thoughts on how to balance things let me know!
Did avid is a paid software
Thank you for making this! 🙏🏾💕
Hey!!!So much going on here … subscribed🎉……
Hi can you make a vid reacting to showreels to show us what kind of showreels is at what level and what we need to focus in showreels
Great idea!
Appreciate the very informative video!
90% you talking about Tom. 10% Mariah. What a waste.
????
@@DiamaraldGaming I don’t know why you’re replying that. My comment is pretty self explanatory for how I saw this conversation. if you don’t agree thats cool but replying with “????” is confusing as heck for a very clear remark.
around the 17:40 mark you talk too much about yourself. no offence but I didnt click this video for that.
You’re a great interviewer, Tony. You ask good questions and you let them talk without interrupting.
Awesome digest Tony! I can feel the pain you experienced while filming this video😁 Reading all those "job offers" is tough, I receive similar stuff at least a few times per week too. Your advice is great for beginners, at least they will know what to expect and what to instantly ignore. Next time, don't stop yourself from swearing while reading all those examples!
