I have this "what if" sort of theory that if Shouyou didn't find Gintoki in that battlefield (and Oboro managed to stay by his side to open the school) there's the possibility of the Tenshoin Naraku finding him instead. The fact that they took in children, particularly those with a talent, would be a definite reason for taking him in and train him into one of their elite soldiers; maybe even take over if they could never find Shouyou. In a sad way Gin would truly grow up to become a monster with an empty soul that simply finds fulfillment in a hallowed existence of killing, instead of living life to the fullest as a person the way he does now.

this season should have been the climax of the series. the final movies didn’t really reach the bar it set… at least for me :) fantastic work on the amv, definitely one of my favourites
