Banded Stilt

Found this bird injured by the roadside and we’ve been caring for him for about a week waiting for the chance to get him to some professional help. He’s feeding on a mix of crushed shellfish and crustaceans. He’s become fairly used to my hand and aside from his injured wing seems quite ok. I’m hoping a wildlife carer can take him and correctly bandage his wing so he has a chance of being releas...

    I've just bought a car with chemweld in the radiatior and heater system. It is holding water well, I didn't know about this repair until last week, when my mechanic serviced my car. I live in the South Australian outback and have driven it long distance and in hot conditions, it's just fine. I've had the cabin filters replaced with the service. With the a/c running it's fine but with three heater running it has a obnoxious odour, is this from the chemweld in your experience?

    202 red great engine did 450,000kms in my HJ 1974 Kingswood YT head , pacemakers, most reliable, indestructible, value for $ I've ever had, paid just $1350 23 yrs ago today Shannon's value it for $35,000 who knew? Nobody wanted them back then. Go for ever old simple tech

    My 3.2 td pajero just blew its head, I topped the rad with water and drop about 30kms home with no issues tho but when it blew I was 30kms from home and she started up chugged and shook a little and blew put a shit load of white smoke. That all stopped on the way home and she didn't heat up either, no loss of compression. I'm gonna chemi her this week, have Kinda decided against replacing the head gasket as I feel more issues will arrive straight after. I'm I correct in thinking this or should I replace the headgasket? I will be dropping a new motor in it next year and then testing the old one apart and rebuilding it (if it's possible, depending on any damage) but this is the first time I've blown a headgasket and not lost compression 🤷

    these solutions are perfect for someone like me who drives about 5,000-10,000 km's a year. If I can get another 5 years out of my bomb it would be spectacular. No use replacing the heads or gasket if the bottom end is toast. Cheaper to replace the entire car at that point.

    When it says remove radiator airflow system what does it mean? Like take the whole radiator out?!

    I'm going to get a new set of permaseal gaskets, then as I refill my cooling system I'll put 2 bottles of the stuff in just in case there's any other small cracks and flaws.

  • @sensemusicofficial

    i wonder if you can just slap this in the coolant resivouir for cars that dont have access to the radiator

    I dont get it, does this stuff clog a leaking radiator & stop the drip?

    • @markhill3196
      @markhill3196 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is claimed to fill in gaps in head or gasket. Not radiator.

    • @hedzb5954
      @hedzb5954 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@markhill3196 I had an old bottle of the stuff, I just flushed the radiator & poured it into my ute after watching your vid, even though there's nothing wrong with the car. Drove around afterwards & it was running cooler. Tomorow Im suposed to flush it out?

    • @markhill3196
      @markhill3196 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hedz B not sure why it’d be running cooler now if there was nothing wrong in the first place? Maybe a small crack in the head or gasket? But I’d just follow the instructions in the bottle. Good luck.

    • @hedzb5954
      @hedzb5954 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@markhill3196 I thought the radiator was leaking so I poured the bottle in couple days ago, but it might've been a hose leak, I took the car to a dodgy mechanic in 'punchy' just for a pink slip & when I got the car back the thermostat was unplugged, so car was overheating. BTW if u bought a 2nd bottle better to return it, cause I had the bottle on the shelf for ages & when opened it was half congealed, took a lot of hot water to break it up. It is definatley running a lot cooler but I haven't flushed the chem'weld yet, it's been in there for 2 days now I forgot to flush it after work...

      Hi Mark yes my motor engineer late father has used this in 2 of my vehicles i need to use now however in my Ford 2001 Escape the only access to the radiator is through the plastic bubble shaped overflow? Not sure what it's called as my last cars older did have a cap on radiator where you filled it now this car is filled through this other area so Question I'm assuming that this is where I have to pour in the chemi weld ? Really hope you are still monitoring this page

      This repair held up pretty well for a couple thousand ks and then let go. Head has been removed and the gasket was blown between cylinders 5 and 6 (common). Now it’s going to definitely need a new gasket and head bolts.

    Wait till you tow a heavy load that will break away where ever it bonded and will clog something else. Just get head gasket done properly.

    Hi Luke. No gearbox. Just direct drive thru a clutch plate. Many boats like this. I have no reverse but soft clutch operation from neutral to drive thru handbrake style lever right hand side of cockpit. Hydraulic operation just exactly the same as it is in a car but hand operated not foot operated. Boat'd be for sale if your interested. 😉
