How are these for patrol boots and how much heavier are these to the non waterproof ones and how waterproof are these can I walk in puddles and stay dry

the Bates Ultra-lite Tactical sport 1 will always be my favorite. I currently wear the Sport two, and it's not too shabby, but I still prefer the 1st.

I have been a long time wearer of Bates Tactical Sport Boots 8 inch. I buy a new pair every year and sometimes 2 pairs if they are on sale. Now that you are making the Tactical Sport 2 , when are you going to make the 8 inch with NO SIDE ZIP ? I have been waiting for a while now and previously bought other brands that sucked waiting for you to make them. I bought a couple months ago your Opspeed and I got them broken in now , but I don't like them as much as I liked the Tactical Sport. I can't stand SIDE ZIP BOOTS because they dig into the side of my leg. Can you please go back to making an optional NON SIDE ZIP ! Some of my co-workers fell the same way and have switched to other brands that offer boots like this. I tried them and didn't care for them or they were too narrow for my foot.

Been waiting for 2 years now for the NON-ZIP Tactical Sport 2 Black Tall in Men's . Some of us old military guys hate the SIDE ZIP and can tie our boots just fine ! I bought a new pair of the old Tactical Sport Tall every year for over 9 years . The Side Zip digs into the side of my leg and I don't like it . I had to buy a crappy pair of Original SWAT and I even tried other brands like Under Armour and Reebok , but they were too narrow near the arch .

The side triangle Structure rubber of my velocitor has been peeling off from the boots! Its all cracked, what can i do to fix it? They are all cracked and almost peeling off.. I love this pair of boots, please help me.

I have a pair of Rallyforce Tall Side Zip in the Coyote colorway en route to me from Bates. I love my super breathable Rush Mid boots !

I still have my og pair of tactical sport boots from bates I wear them all the time, 2 years old and holding up fine I love em, so I'm definitely going to be getting the new upgraded version, I hike in the og's a lot and they've held up fantastically, extremely durable, lightweight, and breathable, great boots.. Can't wait to try the Sport 2 version

I have 2 pairs of the water proof ones and both pairs the inside liner behind the heel has ripped and I noticed that there a little narrow on top on of foot I and work 12 hour shifts as ups driver and they comfortable but that minor issues makes it uncomfortable the tear in the heel and the heel itself does fit correctly like it should causing my heel to rock side to side but I recommend them

I have a pair of these boots . On the outer side of the boot (both) the leather that runs across the ankles hurts my ankles extremely bad right beneath the ankles.. I’ve tried everything!! Taking pads out ,adding more pads , putting pads on my ankles etc…. Nothing I’ve tried works !!! I’m thinking seriously of trashing them … I’m very disappointed!! I do a lot of walking,hiking etc…. They are not wearable…

I have been wearing the 8 inch Tactical Sport Boots for probably 10 years now . I usually buy 2 pair a year or so . I have been looking on your website for about a year now and all you were offering was the side zip . I HATE THE SIDE ZIP ! A lot of my co-workers feel the same way . I finally started looking for something else that would work for me and I didn't really like anything . I bought a pair similar to the Tactical Sport from 5.11 and after breaking them in , I still don't like them and wore my old worn out Bates yesterday . I've even contacted your website a couple times trying to find out when you will ever make them again . I will probably buy a pair of these till you get the 8 inch , but not happy that I have to buy a shorter version . So , if you can make this Tactical Sport 2 in the tall version without the side zip , I will buy 2 pair .

All this time I thought dry-guard was some sort of dry technology on the toe mesh that prevents water from seeping in but also allows some form of airflow for the toes. I guess one day

I have worn bates low quarters dress shoes and boots throughout my career in the military. They are comfortable and very well constructed. I am currently working for the federal government and I still wear Bates boots for work. Love the fact they are made in the 🇺🇸.

I have the normal version of these and can confirm that these are very good and high quality boots, I've had several different pair of bates, under amour and Nike combat style boots and these are my favorite out of the bunch
