LMAO. No. 😂😂 Neither of them EVER show any interest in getting back together after they break up. Abby said it best, “We should have just stayed friends”. Luka and Abby pined for each other for years and got their happy ever after ending, and every single writer on the show wanted and confirmed this. Luka knew he didn’t have to change Abby. He just had to love her, and she felt exactly the same.

Just because it’s what you wanted, doesn’t make it so. Write all the fanfic in your head that you would like. Canon Abby wanted (and married and had a family with) LUKA. Besides, Carter has too much respect for both Luka and Abby to ever try to come between them again. “Do you know that I love you more than I could ever explain?” (Abby to Luka) pretty much sums it up. She never once told Carter she loved him. 🤷🏼‍♀️ People who want a family broken up because their “ship” didn’t sail just baffle me.

And this isn’t even your video or your comment I was replying to, so I’m unsure why you even bothered replying, if for no other reason than being “defensive”. And yes, I’m a bit “defensive” of a married couple (with a child) who ended happily in canon, that the writers, actors and most fans wanted to see happen. So what?

dosomethin1508 Actually, the creators and writers were planning on “Carby” being endgame, but then realized the story and chemistry they had with Maura and Goran so they changed their minds. That’s been confirmed multiple times. 🤷🏼‍♀️ And Maura and Goran were both thrilled that their characters ended up together. Noah’s exact words about Carby were “People liked that? Really?” 😏 Strongly disagree that Carter and Abby had “better chemistry”. They were good as friends, but romantically, there was nothing there. But yeah. We all see what we see in that regard. Also strongly disagree about Luka as a character, and if you’re disregarding everything beyond season 9, you obviously don’t understand character arcs and growth. Luka learned how to be better with Abby. He understood her better because he TRIED to, and Abby did the same. He loved Abby deeply, as herself, not who he wanted her to be, and she felt the same about him. Carter was controlling and manipulative with Abby and wouldn’t let her be herself without pushing her to “fix” herself so she would be his ideal woman. He never loved her, he loved the idea of her. Also, Abby never once tells Carter she loves him, but she tells Luka multiple times. So yes. We’ll agree to disagree on all of that. You go ahead and believe that Carter and Abby were “meant to be”, and I’ll go on “shipping” the couple who actually ended up together and stayed together. 🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s all good.

Sure. That’s why he ran off for Africa and dumped her in a letter which he had her ex deliver. 🙄 Luka would die for Abby (and proved that a couple of times). Carter didn’t care enough to even call her to break up with her. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sometimes friends can be more than friends but they were more better as friends than a couple. Carter always has bad luck with women he been with but I don’t understand if he really loved Abby he wouldn’t want to change her he would love her who she is and he didn’t love her cuz she didn’t love him the way she love Luka. Carter always been jealous of her and Luka even in the beginning when they started going out, he did try to come between them, he was waiting for them to break up so he could be with her. Proposing to her inbad way, breaking up with her by a letter has even more painful to Abby. So he doesnt deserved her at all. What I’m really proud of is that he saved Luka’s life in Africa, not just because of Abby is that he’s became good friends with him, Luka is a good man, great doctors trying to save a lot lives, and family to the ER. So carby are just better off as friends and it’s good that they stay friends.

@@miaward1792 carter was definitely jealous of the Luka and Abby connection and if he truly cared about her then he would of proposed and not left her for Africa despite how she felt. Luka and Abby just needed time without carter interfering and for timing to be better and once she became a doctor it was finally time to try it again because she was in a better place and no nipshit John trying to get between them. Luka and Abby loved each other hard I could see that even during their off moments before getting back in season 12. She was always someone he could depend on and their love grew even stronger when she Became pregnant with Joe.

Her family was part of the problem. Having a mother and brother with bipolar disorder who weren't faithful about taking their meds and then the brother disrupting Carter's grandmother's funeral certainly didn't help their relationship.
