@andrearubiabarber7894 I wouldn't glue charms on a natural nail ever especially not on a teenager, there is always a risk of damage whether there is polish underneath or not.

@andrearubiabarber7894 nail glue would probably be the safer bet. However, it's not going to last as long as a glue made for charms. There is the possibility of the nail glue deterating and the charm falling off.

@HaH3nry thank you! I know I have the latest fall plaid plate that they came put with but I'll have to double check. It takes practice for sure to get the layers down.

@saragr8827 with a lint roller. Just roll you stamper over it and it takes the left over polish off.

@HaH3nry Thank you! It takes time and practice to get encapsulation down. If your using hard gel use the line of light to see where the dents are. Tje line should be smooth if it isn't in certain areas then you can fix it. Also with turning the nail upside down gravity will help too. There are top coats that don't always work over stamping. My top favorite is Young Nails Ultimate Finish top coat. Works every time and doesn't separate.

@andrearubiabarber7894 Hi. I filed after encapsulated the glitter with hard gel, not after top coat. I file after encapsulation to get the shape right and to make a smooth surface for top coat. Hope this helps.

@andrearubiabarber7894 HI! How I remove charms is usually with some old nippers or if that doesn't work use my electric file with in old bit that can get under it a little and then try again with my nippers. Sometimes it can be a little difficult to get off. Hope this helps!

Sarah another one I’m sorry to bother you but which kind of glue I can use to a normal nail polish please? I’ve got the one to be cured in the lamp but for a normal nail polish I’m not sure if it would work. Ex. Applying charms on kids nails xx

@andrearubiabarber7894 for regular polish I would recommend nail glue, I don't know of anything else if you are wanting something that doesn't need to be cured in the lamp.

@winnielane I'm not sure what they are called. I got them off Amazon, they came with the magnetic stands in a little pack. If I find them I'll put a link in the community tab.

@amandaann3272 The stiletto shape is more to be worn as long nails. I would recommend doing more of an oval shape, they are skinny like stilleto but not pointy.

Thank you for doing this. I'll be practicing that free edge. I use my efile to get rid of bulk and hand file the rest. I still have a tendency to be too heavy-handed with the gel. Then I pfaff around trying to get the right shape for the apex. I'm just a mess 😅 I also only use gel. When I was caring for my father, he couldn't tolerate the smell of monomer. I will say my shaping was better with the acrylic for some reason. I feel like I could what I was doing better.

@HaH3nry I understand. I've been in that same boat. Gel is softer than acrylic so it takes time to learn when we are doing too much when filing.
