This is us sharing how we cook vegan/vegetarian meals in our kitchen. We also try to incorporate things from our small backyard garden. Our goal is to inspire persons to be intentional about eating a plant base diet and to grow some of what one eats.We are not professionals, but we have picked up a few things along the way and are still learning.Join us as we do so with God's help.Last but by no means least...we share our thoughts as we feel impressed to do.❤🙏🏽🥳😁🇯🇲

Man you in the cooking business too
I am in Tasmania Australia and have three rescued hens. My question is how do I give vit D to my hens? I take vit D myself. Thank you.
Hatching year round, but not as many in winter...assuming you have snow and all that. First vid I've seen from you so flying blind on location and such. Lil chickadoos. :-) My plant diet needs work, but it's hard. Have partial anosmia (wacky sense of smell and taste) from my hormone disorder and I'm allergic to some food. Most veggies smell and taste like trash that's sat out in the summer sun for a month...so obviously I won't go near them for anything. Born and raised (and still live on) on a farm. I'll 47 soon. Developed a few allergies when I was 15. Allergic to fruit, eggs, mushrooms (no big loss there, I never liked em), and I'm lactose intolerant. My father blamed the hrt I was given when I was 15. Love broccoli. Though I have no idea what it's supposed to taste like. The scent of skunk, the taste of sesame oil, teriyaki, and broccoli all smell and or taste the same to me. Teriyaki. Though it never tastes sweet for me. Won't go near zucchini, cucumber, squash, pumpkin, cooked cauliflower (the smell makes me physically sick and gives me an instant migraine). I'm fine with most of em, till they're cut open or cooked. Meaning, I can pick em just fine. That's about it. Do grow my own herbs. Absolutely love garlic. I do Not keep salt or black pepper around. Hate black pepper and I stopped using salt when I was 18. I live on the property of the family farm. In the woods and pay rent of course. Fam also raises fruit trees. Lots and lots of fruit **groans**... Hate fruit picking season. Lots of fruit I haven't been able to eat in years. Though I can have fruit one way.... By making it into wine or champagne. Peach champagne and wild cherry wine are my faves. Gotta be wet(more sugar content), not dry(little to none). Store bought wines and dry drinks all smell and taste the same to me -- like vinegar. **Shudders** As for my hormone disorder? I'm a straight natural born eunuch. I blame the Lupron. Mom was part of a case study on the effects of Lupron for extreme morning sickness back in 77. She had morning sickness almost her entire pregnancy with me. I've heard dozens of stories of food I ruined for her, lol Aside from food aversions, I'm also extremely allergic to sawdust. Makes sawing (won't use a chainsaw) challenging. Gotta be wrapped up and make sure I don't breathe any in. Otherwise, quick trip to the hospital that's almost 49 miles away. I won't go near bananas. They were my first fruit allergy and are the worst, by far. Died once. That was enough for me till it's my time. I can eat a few fruit, but taking a break from melons for a while. I got sick of em. Been two years since I had any. Can have coconut though...though is the flesh of it still considered a nut? Also like bean sprouts, baby spinach (I hate lettuce), bok choy, and kale and of course broccoli. Like to eat cauliflower raw. I can eat peppers, but can't eat too many. Makes my throat itch and my mouth swell up. The joys of allergies. **Sigh** I raise chickens, ducks, and geese. Also have button quail inside. Ducks are strictly pets. Refuse to eat anything that makes me happy. Oldest geese are almost 31 years old. Allowing them to hatch and raise young one more time. They should be passing on in the next couple of years. Oldest chickens are pets. Younger ones? Well, that's what the leg bands are for. I barter with my Amish neighbors. They get geese and chickens, fruit, and some get champagne or wine...in return, I get my freezers stocked up. I don't have it in me to butcher...but I have the skills if I'm starving to death. So they butcher for me. I get a portion, as well as lamb, pork, beef, and deer for my freezers. And yes, I allow the Amish to hunt on my property. Love bartering with neighbors. :) Getting some pygmy goats soon. Haven't had goats since I was a kid. Definitely won't be for eating. Won't even consider it....as a kid, money got super tight. Let's just say I know what it's like to eat pets. Prolly why I hate butchering...... Btw, I'm long winded. Can't apologize for it. It's the way I am. One of those lovely traits that some autistic people get. Some are long winded verbally some are long winded in their writing. Guess where I am? Christian as well. Non denominational, but I also consider myself charismatic (like a holy roller). Ironic really. Quiet and reserved most of the time. Will eat eggs once in a blue moon. I can't give em up as long as they're NOT life threatening. They've always been my fave food. Usually once a year (sometimes twice) I'll fry an egg up (over medium) and put it on toast. About the only way I'll eat em these days.. afterwards, I'll get a large spoonful of PB and swallow it. Helps with the itchiness in my throat. Sure wish it helped the rest of the "journey"... Local butchery sells some dairy free cheese. Love the stuff. It's garlic and herb flavored. Really good melt factor. No oily taste and tastes like cheese for me. That stuff has been a Godsend the last 5 years. Makes cutting out dairy (90% of the time) a lot easier on me. Dairy free ice cream... Ehh, some of it is ok....but I still haven't found a solution for my fave flavor which is cookies and cream. So yeah, I give in every now and then and get a pint of it... Ok, stopping now before I really start going off on a royal rambling. Pleasure to come across this chan! :) If there are typos, blame it on the smartphone. I do.
Amen

I like the black greyish grow bags because once you put soil in the colored bags they eventually turn colors and look really dirty. Not that this is the most importantLOL but I like the bag to look cleaner so I notice that my colored grow bags didn’t keep the color well
Hi ,thank you for your feedback .I am in the process of getting more of them from amazon.....glad you mentioned 😀 it.I'm even thinking of getting them one size up.Its our very first time using grow bags and are inlove with them.
