В цьому відео я детально показую, як створити кобуру зі шкіри.
Прошу зауважити, що до цього я не мав досвіду створення такого предмету. Я створюю макет з eva foam такої ж товщини, як і шкіра. Завдяки цьому я з першої спроби отримую максимально точний макет для подальшої роботи.

I had no experience of creating something like this before that. I create the mock-up from eva foam with the same thickness as the leather. In result I have the accurate mock-up for further work.

Unfortunately no. I build all the patterns individually according to the measurements of the client. And I do it from paper and eva foam so i don't have digital files)

Шикарно вийшло. І все детально показано. Супер. Питання: 1. дерев'яну частину ти робив? 2. Бутероль твоєї роботи?
Дякую! Ні, дерев'яну частину я делегував, адже не маю достатньо інструменту та місця, щоб працювати з деревом. Тобто, міг би, але не було на це часу😄 Тому попросив іншого майстра. А бутероль замовляв готове, тільки що вносили коррективи у восковку: я привозив затягнуті ножни в процессі, підганяли восковку по ним і тільки потім відливали.

Where can i get a mannequin like that? Trying to make a cuirass without one is a nightmare
This is an ordinary sewing mannequin. I put a doublet on him. And after that I built a model from eva foam.
@@aldbor8744 I have heard tales of people wearing a snug t-shirt, duct taping over it while worn, then cutting it off and filling it with high expansion foam, for a sized approximation of a mannequin.
Iam surprised by the skill of handcrafting you have. Not sure about historical accuracy, but i can certainly say - it's masterpiece. Good job, keep it up, I hope your channel will grow, as iam not quite sure why this has almost no views.

@@TheSteveRobinson about 100-120 hours of work in the workshop. This does not include some of the previous steps: buying materials and drawing sketches. Only creation from the moment of clear understanding of what is being created:)

how did you join the collar to the base of the neckline? what is the technique and where could i get a visual/tutorial of it if there is one?
I did fast sketch for you. drive.google.com/file/d/1dT5z5pP0069PInp2YE9gS1n1pQ_WHRBX/view?usp=sharing You also need to make sure that the length of the inner radius of the collar coincides with the neck. I pre-glue the collar. After that I sew.
I want to create more content and tutorials for this channel. I hope I will do it soon.

beautiful, but pls someone do a video on how to guild leather pieces! I'm not getting info on sizing etc watching the book making videos
Unfortunately, it's easy to say, but not to do. Gilding is in itself difficult technique. And leather, in turn, is a complex material. You need to experiment on your own. Write your questions and I will try to answer them. But without practice you will not understand how to do it. No tutorial will help.
