Worker Kunlun - looking into internals with Martin Mo
During the Factory tour we looked into Kunlun's internal, Martin mentioned all the little things they did to reduce the sound and vibration to the system.
Here is also some comments from me about why Harrier 's plunger choice is changed to POM which in some player's eye is gone backwards, but sound and vibration, apparently is what Worker wanted to improve, with the release.

Solve Jam in Sweetheart Storm or any other AEBs auto nerf products
มุมมอง 70610 หลายเดือนก่อน
It is a very common problem with any nerf AEBs but I think it is a good idea to provide my thoughts and hopefully it helps you to solve your problems. Sother other trick I have mentioned including: - pull 1cm barrel out of barrel nut; - lining your darts to the back of mags; - Putting spacer just behind the other end of Pusher block(needs re-assembly) Please share and discuss your method and he...

Sabre Apex Prime: fitting an AEB grip nicely 😁
มุมมอง 1.3Kปีที่แล้ว
Our first batch of Apex Prime is gruadually rolling out but I have found a thing in testing the grips. if you ordered before Jan 2024, your Apex Prime would have a green oring and 2 grub screws in addition to original parts. Here is why I have added them.
Making the Sabre Apex Prime family friendly :D
มุมมอง 729ปีที่แล้ว
Sabre's latest blaster toy is a beast, but instead of showing the powerful fps up to 400 , I have cut down a 13mm ID barrel to 250mm and fitted an 8KG spring, plus our bcar to get it to 181fps, which is family and house/backyard targeting-friendly. :D The barrel is 250mm rather 300mm, oopsie. WHAT SIZE ARE THE O RINGS
What size are those blue O rings you installed?
Can someone explain how the pusher works? It pulls back with the sring and then releases before the plunger?
Thank you for a better look at the insides. I now know why its not out performing the harrier with all that extra plunger volume. This is another missed oppertunity for Worker.... At least they learned from the stuff up with the Harrier/Segull debarkle and used metal internals this time round. Guess I will be working with SABRE again to fix this one up too...
if i didn't recently buy a clear edition kirin days before the kunlun was announced, i probably would've bought one.
Wow, thats a very cool insight to the blaster and to the designer. Can't say Im a fan of how large the magwell looks and that the magwell is connected to the front of the half of the blaster. Could've made some cool new barrel shrouds if the magwell wasn' 't connected. Or we can just design a new shroud and magwell front end.
Awesome look into engineering. These people really do think of every single situation and solution. I'm from the USA so I'm getting my Kunlun from OoD but wishing all the best to Foamwork Adelaide and the Aussie foam flinging community!
so good! can't wait to get my hands on one of these. Awesome video
You already sold me on blaster. Looking forward to ordering it on your store.
Awesome video mate
Did you find out about any top secret stuff worker is working on Worker AEB? 👀
That’s an instant BUY
I thought when I saw Worker stuff, about 4 years ago that they would be a 'Flash in the pan' company and soon disappear like most others have. But they have stuck around and have produced some of the best blasters in the hobby. I hope they stay around for a long time to come and keep innovating.
Hey Jay, when assembling the magwell with pre-compression, I'd recommend sticking a thin screwdriver in one of the lined up holes to hold the magwell in place. I use the same method with holding the motor/gearbox in place on my Storm when using the thicker springs. Works a treat.
Great idea!
How do you get the pusher to open and stay open like that?
Hey i just purchased and received the sabre and they sent me two of the same side spacers for the grip.. and i noticed when i prime the gun and shoot it the trigger doesn't lock into place after firing the gun.. so i push up on the plastic hand guard right at 4:30 its the end that is next to the part where you mount your grip. Once i push up on that the trigger locks back into place. Its doesn't take much force when pushing up on it.. any ideas what this could be.. my other idea is when i get the grip and the weight of the gun is rested on my hand that it will continue to lock after that
Would this go through customs when it's shipped to Australia? I ordered it prebuilt with a grip from FrontLineFoam.
best of luck🤞
@@FoamworkAdelaide Thanks for the wishes! NOW I'M TERRIFIED.
Are there any places in adelaide like a nerf war or foam convention in the near future? I've been searching but nothing pops-up except for one in 2022
Airsoft?
Not really. Airsoft is basically unabled in Australia, this is just nerf but more focused on tactile.
Bro has it in the California Compliant configuration
Not really able to see what he is doing. All off the bottom of the screen.
True... I need to work on a better positioning of this angle...
Just bought your hardware kit for the SLUG wondering where I get the STL to print the rest. As I think you hardware kit differs from the original.
Files sent :D
fellow aussie here - i am DYING waiting for the files to become available to print this! my 3d printer is ready to go!
will add the taran tactical branding and call it the TTI Disc Master Block 26 with a rose gold barrel and a two tone slide :D
Is there any way to prevent a fuse from blowing? I heard you say in another video that it happens with new springs.
Wicked vid, heaps easier to see the shaft position and great job explaining it, I may have to try and get the bigger spring to work again
nice vid cheers jay cant wait to get mine
what is the difference between the 2.0 and the 2024 version
We are improving parts by parts and you will see more detail from our website ;D
Just got my storm, and while I think I have jams taken care of it seems to sort of fart the darts out. Any ideas on how I can fix this problem? It’s like it shotgun loads the (brand new darts) into the barrel (so multiple darts in the barrel at a time) and then gently blows them out, if I’m lucky.
so it seems to be several things at the same time; shot gun load means there were multiple darts in the barrel, you may need to replace the barrel/dart combo or clean the barrel; gently blows out may be o-ring ie sealing, I would suggest checking the first then seals.
@@FoamworkAdelaide thank you, will do!
What size is the o-ring on the pusher?
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately the Facebook link doesn't work.
Is this the version/specs we will be getting from Frontline Foam Pre-order?
Very cool. Please consider making a picture diagram indicating which is primary and which is secondary when it comes to colour selection.
Had so much fun for this little thing🎉 Great job of 118 design and Moose❤
Thanks Jay this helped alot😅
where can I get the grip from?
It is a AEG motor grip, suitable grips I have founs includes ‘SBR’ or 'Honey badger' grips.
Nice video ❤ I’m wondering what is the diameter of the two springs? (2.0 and plus)
I’m assuming this blaster has a plungerhead of some sort with o-rings? If so, how are those serviced?
Will the pro model come in Purple? I really hope so.
There is a demand for it, but it really depends on the order quantities for it.
I've finally gotten round to watching this a few times, and I'm so impressed by how compact everything is, everything just seems so tight without feeling flimsy; - the planetary reduction/connection doubling as a motor mount - the barrel/cylinder cam doubling as a spring rest - the plunger doubling as a pusher pick-up to facilitate the separation of the chamber/cock cycle - the pusher range control is such a good idea, and being able to fit the forward-push spring without holding in the mag - the body doubling as plunger Like this thing feels like it's really had a lot of thought put into it. I knew it was good, but not *this* good. What I can't figure out though, is how the plunger is held in place cocked. I imagine that at 7:08 that switch in the pink mount detects when the plunger is at the back, but I'm not sure how it's actually subsequently held. I wanted to guess that it was an electronic control, but surely without some means of reading RPM, there's no way to close it via PWM control over torque? And sure, shorting out the terminals would apply some stopping force, but surely even with the gear reduction we'd see that slider piece twitching, right?
There is a lot to watch. I will pass your impression on to Yan and answer your questions once I finish despatching the orders, Thanks a lot!
Before owning a lipo powered blaster, what are some tips you can give me so my house dont burn down?
Lipo can be kept at a safe voltage and using a fire isolation case should help. Fire extinguishers highly recommend 😁
Is that battery 3s or 4s?
Just a small 3s for testing. We recommend an 11.1v 40-80C battery for normal usage and a 14.8v for a snappy trigger feel.
15:11 what size screws that go in?
M6size. I used 10mm ver.
what is the longest barrel to be used? What is the piston travel and diameter (displacment volume)? Thanks!
the theory number is 106cc. In our test, we have found 400mm this the best barrel for push that FPS number. So I reckon it is around 80-90cc. Meanwhile it is compatible for other OD 16mm barrels, Sabre is too thick tho. Worker barrel is fine.
@@FoamworkAdelaide hope they redesign new version to move the sun planet gear offset lower to allow a longer travel. that will increase the upper fps limit in addition to high gear ratio and high torque motor. more expansive for sure as current straight arrangement is cheapest. 300fps should be prefect for this config.
What are the dimensions of the spring?
WD1.8mm OD16mm Length140-160mm ;D
@@FoamworkAdelaide just safe my life there my friend
What is the size/dimensions of the four grub screws you install into the pusher to control airflow?
M6. You can use 10mm if you want.
@@FoamworkAdelaide m6 x 10 mm screws?
@@kerry848 yes
@@C4damnyou thanks 👍🏻
Right I have a problem with the tube, I can fire but when I insert the tube can fire out of it
It's like my pusher doesn't have a seal
Hi David. Sorry to hear that, there are 4 grub screws where the barrel inserts, did you tightened them? If you watch my latest video it shows the trick to tighten the barrel.
Looking forward to picking one up
