وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته It means after the daily obligatory prayers and there are many authentic narrations of different Du’a that one can say. With regards to raising hands here is a Fatwa. Ruling on Raising Hands on Making Du’a' after Salah Q: What is the opinion of Your Eminence on raising hands on Making Du’a' after Salah (Prayer)? Is there any difference in this regard between obligatory and supererogatory Salahs? A: Raising one's hands on making Du’a' is an act of Sunnah (a commendable act) and a cause of answering the Du’a'. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “Your Lord is too magnificent and generous to turn away empty the hands of His servant when he raises them to Him.” (Related by Abu Dawud, Al-Tirmidhy, and Ibn Majah, and is judged by Al-Hakim to be authentic, on the authority of Salman Al-Farisy.) The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) also says: “Allah is Good and only accepts that which is good.” Allah commanded the pious to follow the same commandments as He gave to the Messengers. He (عز وجل) said: “O you who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that We have provided you with, and be grateful to Allâh, if it is indeed He Whom you worship.” [Surah Al-Baqarah, 2: 172] He (سبحانه وتعالى) also said: ” O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibât [all kinds of Halâl foods which Allâh has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits, etc.] and do righteous deeds. Verily! I am Well-Acquainted with what you do.” [Surah Al-Mu'minun, 23: 51] Then, he mentioned a man who has travelled on a long journey and is dishevelled and covered with dust; he stretches forth his hands to the heaven, (saying) “O Lord, O Lord”, but his food is ill-gotten, his drink is ill-gotten, all his nourishment is ill-gotten, so how can his Du’a' be accepted?“ (Related by Muslim.) However, it is impermissible to raise hands in situations during which the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) did not raise his hands, such as immediately after the Five Obligatory Daily Prayers, between the two prostrations, before Taslim (salutation of peace ending the Prayer) and during the Khutbah (sermon) of Jumu’ah (Friday) or that of the Two ‘Eid Prayers. This is because the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) did not raise his hands on such occasions. Undoubtedly, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) is the best example regarding both that which he does or that which he does not do. However, it is permissible to raise one's hands, following the practice of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم), in case one supplicates for rain during the Khutbah of Jumu’ah or that of ‘Eids. As for supererogatory Salah, it is unobjectionable, as far as I know, to raise hands while making Du’a' after concluding it, based on the general evidence on the issue. However, it is better not to be persistent in doing so as it is not authentically reported to be a recurrent practice of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم). Had it been so, the Companions would have reported it as they (may Allah be pleased with them) reported all his sayings and deeds while traveling or resident and in all cases. May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him and may Allah be pleased with them all. As for the well-known Hadith stating: “Prayer in its essence is humbleness and humility to Allah, and to raise your hand in supplicating saying: O Lord, O Lord,” it is Da’if (a Hadith that fails to reach the status of Hasan, due to a weakness in the chain of narration or one of the narrators). This is stated by Al-Hafizh Ibn Rajab and others. May Allah grant us success! As Salaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakatuhu. Below is from Tafsir Ibn Katheer Then Allah says, (And verily, your Lord will give you so that you shall be well-pleased.) meaning, in the final abode Allah will give him until He pleases him concerning his followers, and in that which He has prepared for him from His generosity. From this will be the River of Al-Kawthar, which will have domes of hollowed pearls on its banks, and the mud on its banks will be the strongest frangrance of musk, as will be mentioned. Imam Abu `Amr Al-Awza`i recorded that Ibn `Abbas said, "The Messenger of Allah was shown that which his Ummah would be blessed with after him, treasure upon treasure. So he was pleased with that. Then Allah revealed, (And verily, your Lord will give you so that you shall be well-pleased.) So, Allah will give him in Paradise one million palaces, and each palace will contain whatever he wishes of wives and servants.'' This was recorded by Ibn Jarir and Ibn Abi Hatim from his route of transmission. This chain of narration is authentic to Ibn `Abbas, and statements like this can only be said from t hat which is Tawqif. We hope this answers your question

Tafseer commentary of the meanings of the quran and explaination. Hadeeth commentary on the meaning of hadiths of the prophet and explaination. Sunnah all sunnats of the prophet that i can practice upon everyday. Stories and biographies of the prophet saw, his sahabah, tabieen and atba e tabieen the first three generations and stories of the pious mujtahideen imams, muhadditheen and real awliya. Tazkiyah e nafs how to reform my character and nafs from evil traits. If you can help me to learn islam that would be amazing in shaa Allah taala. Please recommend as many books as possible in shaa Allah i am an avid reader. @@amarnahad2835 Third Question: Please Tell us about the Most Important Books in ‘Aqidah (Creed). A: The most important book in ‘Aqidah is the Qur'an; it is the most truthful, the greatest and the noblest book. You should adhere to it as much as possible and recite it often. It includes ‘Aqidah, guidance to goodness and warning against evil. If you read it carefully out of desire to learn and follow its instructions closely, whether in words, deeds or ‘Aqidah, you will find all goodness in it from the beginning to the end i.e. from Surah Al-Fatihah to Surah An-Nas. If you contemplate this great book and recite it often, you will comprehend the ‘Aqidah which Allah (may He be Exalted) accept from you and from the Mu'mins (believers). Then, you should read the books of Hadith, such as the Two Sahih (authentic) Books of Hadith (i.e. Al-Bukhari and Muslim) and others. After that, you should read the books of scholars known for knowledge, grace and true ‘Aqidah, such as the books written by the Shaykh of Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, including "Al-’Aqidah Al-Wasitiyyah", "Al-’Aqidah Al-Tadmuriyyah", "Al-’Aqidah Al-Hamawiyyah", "Minhaj Al-Sunnah" and "Majmu’ Al-Fatawa". There is also the book of ‘Aqidah written by Ibn Abu Zayd Al-Qayrawany and the explanation of Ibn Abul-’Izz for Al-Tahawiyyah ‘Aqidah, being a useful one. Moreover, there are useful books written by Ibn Al-Qayyim (may Allah be merciful with him). There is also the book entitled "Fat-h Al-Majid" written by Shaykh ‘Abdur-Rahman ibn Hasan; and "Al-Tawhid", "Kashf Al-Shubuhat" and "Thalathat Al-Usul" by Imam and Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab. "Kashf Al-Shubuhat" and "Thalathat Al-Usul" There is also "Al-Durar Al-Saniyyah" that include the Fatwas (legal opinions issued by a qualified Muslim scholar) issued by the scholars of Najd. I advise the beginner knowledge seekers to memorize the Qur'an or as much as they can, and to study the books entitled "Al-Tawhid", "Kashf Al-Shubuhat", "Thalathat Al-Usul" and "Al-’Aqidah Al-Wasitiyyah." They clarify the reality of the three parts of Tawhid and Salafiyyah (the way of the righteous predecessors),which is the ‘Aqidah called to by Shaykh and Imam Muhammad ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab (may Allah be merciful with him), and which is the ‘Aqidah adopted by Saudi Arabia. It entails adhering to the Qur'an and the Sunnah and following the way of the Salaf (righteous predecessors) in ‘Aqidah and rulings according to the Qur'an, the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم), and the way of the Sahabah (Companions of the Prophet) and their followers. Some people call it Wahabiyyah ‘Aqidah and think that it is a new ‘Aqidah contradictory to the Qur'an and the Sunnah. This is not the case; it is the ‘Aqidah followed by the Salaf of the Ummah (nation) as previously mentioned but our enemies gave it this name to make people hate it and others imitated them out of ignorance. However, a knowledge seeker should not be deceived by this; they should know the truth from their books, not through the claims of their enemies and those who are ignorant of their ‘Aqidah. And then after those, if he wants to widen his study? Answer: The books, which a student of knowledge, who is a beginner, should start reading with [if he can read and write well] are: 1- Fath ul-Majeed Sharh Kitaab ut-Tawheed, which is a mighty book, 2- Aqeedat ul-Waasitiyyah by Shaykh ul-Islaam ibn Taymiyyah, 3- al-Qawl ul-Mufeed Fee Adillatit Tawheed by our brother Muhammad ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhaab al-Wasaabee, 4- Bulugh al-Maraam 5- Riyaadh us-Saaliheen When you have read these books, you yourself will crave for more. If you could, start with the memorization of the Qur’aan, and this more good and desirable. As for the issue, regarding the ‘Arabic language, for our foreign brothers, then it is very important. If there is a foreign person who does not speak the ‘Arabic language well, then a person may come to him in his Islaamic appearance and then he begins to explain the Qur’aan to him other than how it ought to be, as happened with the Mu’tazilah.
