My goal is to share with you what God is doing and has done for me through His Word. Love what you said about sticking with the translation that speaks to you, that heals you. I've struggled with Bible addiction, the whole KJv rabbit hole and this part of your vlog spoke VOLUMES to me. New sub this morning. There was an NLT I saw at B&N I was eyeing was navy goatskin NLT that was beautiful and almost bought but $80+ was too steep.
Thank you! I love KJV because that’s what I grew up on and there is nothing wrong with finding a different translation that ministers to you. Sounds like the same one I have and thankfully I was working overtime so I was okay with spending that amount on the Bible and it has been and is well worth it!!

You got this! It’s hard to talk about, but the more you talk about it the less of a stronghold it has on you. You’ll get to the point where someone will try to throw it back in your face and you’ll say “that’s all you got?” and walk away saying Jesus they just don’t know what they do.

Very powerful testimony. I think it’s time for me to find a new translation. I’m currently KJV, raised on it . I pray God continues to show you His hidden secrets.
I was raised on it to and I love it but when it came time for me to find something I didn’t have to struggle with I started looking into other translations. It’s hard because people are so headstrong on only using KJV but that is a translation from the original text just like the others. Just ask God to help you decide on the translation and once you get the peace on it, go for it. You won’t have to give up your KJV, just look at another translation as a side-kick to it.
I don't know how old you are, but I'm 73 and back in the day, no one in the white community talked about mental illness either. If they did it was a death sentence for you. They would put you in state facilities and that's where you stayed. They honestly didn't know how to help back then. I praise God for my therapist I have now, sent to me by God the Father. I understood everything you were saying. I'm there too.❤😊

I’ve just discovered your channel. I’m probably not your demographic, i.e., I’m a 59 year old, recovering alcoholic white woman. But, I have to tell you that I admire your spirit and bravery for calling out and speaking out about mental health. Mental health issues are not addressed properly in churches. During Bible study, on a Sunday morning, with 40 people in the room I was told that all people who are alcoholics are demon possessed. I wanted to ask that woman how she might have dealt with growing up being abused sexually, physically and mentally. I didn’t grow up in church. I didn’t read the Bible as kid or young adult. Thank you for sharing your truth. Thank you for telling everyone that we aren’t alone-even if it looks like here.
Thank you. Anyone who has dealt with or are dealing with what I’m healing from is my demographic. Hurt, pain, abuse, disappointment, deep hurt, frustration, anger, etc does not have a name, race, ethnicity, or language. It involves all people of all backgrounds. Never feel like you are alone because you are not. Remember that. When you have a moment, look up the poem Footprints in the Sand; it is a reminder we are not alone. It may feel like it but we are not. Sounds like whomever that person was may have been projecting. Some folks call everything demonic, those are the ones you watch out for because they are trying to hide something. Sorry, I can go off on a tangent about this

Thank you for sharing and making this video to explain why it is your breakthrough Bible. This was encouraging because I have been in a season of struggle with anxiety and panic attacks for over a year. Your testimony has helped me by God’s grace … I know what I need to ask God now.
You’re welcome. Attacks are no joke. I’ve had several since 2021, but I’ve learned to handle them better and determine what I was doing or thinking at the time they occurred. This helped me pinpoint where they were stemming from and I’m currently working on that. I will share that soon.

I was in that darkness in the early 90s. It is a feeling that is difficult to define unless you've been there. I had everything planned, just the way Satan wanted it. But I had a counseling appointment after work that day that I kept. I wasn't there ten minutes before the counselor saw that there was something very wrong with me. He said that I had a quiet peace he had never seen in me before, and it was the huge red flag that caused him to make me recognize the depths of complete despair I had fallen into. I was his last patient that day, which was unusual for him. About a month after that session, he told me how frightened he was for me and how close he came to calling the police to have me committed! I'm not black, but my mother was Japanese. I understand your comments about shame and why things like mental health aren't discussed. Now I am 76 and recently widowed and completely alone. If not for God, I could easily slide backward into that darkness again. But He strengthens me and shows me that He is present in my life. Stay strong in the Lord, young lady. He sees you, and He hears you. God bless you for sharing with others.

First and foremost, may God continue to bless you and may He never remove His hand from you. Your story should be heard because someone may be going through the exact same thing. God talked to me in plain English!!! AMEN!! When God spoke to me in plain English I knew I did not need a 'spiritual' language.He said, "I hear you My daughter". Sweetest words I have ever heard.

Say that again!! The church I attend doesn’t do those things, but seeing it in other churches either by visiting or online makes me disgusted at the things church leadership does to grow their membership instead of discipling the membership.
