Not sure what rules they are following for this tournament. It can’t be PPA rules. The guy with the white cap has a serve that is completely not permitted under PPA rules. He always hits the ball above well above his waist on the serve. The winning team certainly has a nice ark and consistency on their drops.

I like to watch fast attack and defense; I don't like slow DINK, although it is indeed a battle of intelligence. The development of pickleball should try to increase the attack and defense, speed up the pace, make pickleball not only a participatory sport, but also a highly entertaining sport.

The 12 year old needs a more supportive partner to finish plays. Partner had 3 major put-aways and missed them long due to no over-hand and they were easy put-aways.

The point ending at 8:33 was a good example of not having team communication or a similar approach to playing. One guy hit a nice drop, and moved up, other guy stayed back, causing first guy to reach and play a short ball, off balance, and hit the ball out. Had they both seen the nice drop, and/or communicated the move up, this point may have ended differently. I didn't watch the entire video, just kind of watched a few points here and there, so this may have happened elsewhere in the video too. I miss playing. Stupid knee injury. :(. Otherwise, it's nice to see the righty/lefty combo on both sides, and of course the younger player doing well on the court.

Just my opinion, it appears that their rating of 5.0 is seeing how hard you can hit the ball and baiting the opponent to consistently play an obvious out ball. Very little resets and non-strategic dinking. I would rate this match a 4.0 to 4.3 match up. Just my opinion!!!

Remember, if you are going to take the ball from your teammate...Don't make it returnable to the side left vacant....otherwise, leave it for your teammate to hit. It was a soft return...no need to poach
