Filing A High Nut Slot. Out Of Tune First Fret.
Very interesting sound at the minimum and at the max gain
I just picked one of these up and it has a missing arm for the nut. Apparently impossible to find
Thanks! I’ve been going crazy trying to fix string buzz on a strat with a similar nut.
jesus christ all of these new amps are pure bullshit
Ola Sou do Brasil e tenho um console desse Nao tenho muita pratica com ele Se vc puder me chamar e dar umas instruções ficari grato
Thank you so much for opening up the amp and showing us the guts, I'm one of those people who appreciates it. Disappointed to see the foot switch pc board. The amp has an incredible "break-up" sound, but I've noticed, (at least with online YT videos), the amp doesn't have much of a clean sound. If you want clean, sustaining, full, ringing sound, I think this may not be your amp.
That psk sounds awful man, gross. Did they use inferior parts or something?
Oh dang! I have a Roland HP-3000 in my basement. My dad destroyed the add-on midi box by trying to run his guitar through it
what if there are no bridge pin holes, should i drill it or just use a reamer? it's a cheap guitar, I'm afraid it will break easily 😢
What about when the bushings are glued in. I have an Eastman E1OOSS with a black faceplate that I don’t want to chip or crack. Any ideas?
They sell 10mm reamers
Add thread lock...
Just can't wait to get on the road again
I bought a RC plane propeller bit and chuck it in a drill press.... it bores out 8,9,10 MM from the rear of the headstock and costs maybe $15 and is well worth it! It can be used in an electric drill, but a drill press is more stable.
I like your idea the best😊
Anyone know how many were made?
A MILLION thanks for actually using a CLEAN tone... FIRST demo of this pedal that I've seen that wasn't already distorted as hell from the amp...
Thanks! I find a truly clean tone is the only way to fully tell what it's doing to a sound.
Taking a handwired amp to a tech will cost so much less than messing with burnt and cracked PCBs with whole-board-out need when replacing components. Also you could do a lot of stuff like replacing the electrolytes yourself. So handwired will last you a whole lot longer.
Your playing sounds like my playing...
I use Two (2) of these, as opposed to one AC30 ..... owned them for a couple years now... no issues.... they roar against any drummers..... Killer tone, and reliable.... nothing "cheap" about the construction, fit & finish.... they have been in production since 2010...... best sounding Vox to date.....
I had one for years. Very heavy. Nice sound. If I recall, I paid 8K CDN and sold it for 3 4 years later
I have a 2000 flying faders meter bridge for sale
You were tuned to E? Did you try C?
Lol like queens the reason we’re all here!
@@justinknight3737 The reason it was made!
"promosm"
Added together, I’ve spent a total of 72 1/2 years following cables from one end to the other trying to find out where they go.
You’ll get more crunch putting the volume between 3-5 o’clock.
This was my first pedal I bought in 97 at the age of 15. Looking back on this demo it was actually better than expected. Served my Metallica/Megadeth cover band well! I want one again
Game changer and time saver
Not so bad if you have a rack with 2 items but with two full racks like this, it comes in reaaaaal handy! Thanks for watching Neil!
Since the reamer is tapered, is it worth going taking a pass from the other side as well? Im looking to upgrade my guitar from 8.8mm tuners to 10mm
I've found that since the collar for the tuner doesn't reach the other end I don't find it necessary and the slight taper kind of ensure a somewhat tight fit.
@@templetonguitars good to know, thanks for the advice!
See my reply above that I have gone to: a 10MM (modern diameter) tuner machines body for all my guitars with steel strings...
I'm an Ottawa native that used to shop at Song Bird as well, nice Easter egg!
They're still kicking, called spaceman music now, good people.
Love the playing. Keep it up witj the videos.
Aw that's nice, the playing is always just on the fly noodling and often self implodes, glad you enjoy the good bits ;)
2👍 vidio bagus sering gitar, semoga kita terhubung🎉🎉🎉🎉 1:17
Nice
Anyone own the Stone Deaf PDF as well? Do I need both?
It's on my list of pedals to get for sure
I have both now, I’ll let you know lol
@@gajapi what's the word on the comparison?
Can I tune carburetors like this?
if you tip over your neck rest it will be lower (the orientation meant for electrics) and you will be able to place it much closer to the body, reducing stress on the neck. still best to tune from playing tho.
Great demo. Much less gain than I was expecting
Same BUT.. I am starting off super clean. Pretty sweet pedal though. Really loving the aggressiveness in the mids
Got mine and found it much more a tone shaper and much less an overdrive than I was expecting. The effect of running it into an overdrive is wild.
@@pedalobsessed189 yes! That is a great description!
Thanks a lot for this tip!❤
Thanks for watching!
Amps coming out these days ought to be as good as they can get without having to mod this and mod that, so, most new amps over the last decade or so leave a lot to be desired so im still counting my money and am relieved to still have the money rather than an amp that has had corners cut in an almost fraudulent way, there will be a of money being spent on electrical engineers having to put them right.
Specially when buying "handwired" throwback kind of amp, you'd think they'd make them as high quality as possible like back when they came out. I literally took this back and bought an all original early 1965 Fender Princeton instead... Love it.
I played my order a while back, and got a shipping notification early December. Still waiting for it to ship. Hope it gets here soon
It'll get there soon enough I'm sure. Worth the wait.
I normally use a Japanese Pull saw or a Ryoba, sometimes my dovetail saw when cutting flush dowels to the body Great Job! Liked and Sub'd
Awaiting my pedal coming January. Sounds perfect for what I've been after. Great bite for dirty blues licks
yea, I love the mids heavy tone to it.. Really great for dirty blues for sure. or stack with your favorite overdrive and kick this on for leads/solos.
Finally got mine today. Andy is under heavy orders so delayed a bit. Man, this pedal is amazing. Very unique voice and great for getting that ZZ Top first album tones. Worth the wait for sure 👌
@@PC85X definitely a cool one to have in the arsenal..
Tried one in a tiny local music shop (Tevilles, iirc), found it too hissy for me, and Dod always had that classic disappearing battery cover too. Still have fond memories of that range though.
Settings at 1:30.
Fender needs to fix that humming shit
It's mostly cause my pickup is 12 inches from the amp's transformer when I'm playing, notice the hum comes in and out as I move.. it's no worse than any other single coil out there, it's just the nature of them...
actually, regularly it's that positive is in the center. Take the regular 12V 5mm connector for example. That's positive in the center. Heck even regular 19V laptop adapters are like that
Agreed, but in the guitar pedal world... This is a pedal daisychain made for pedals.. Point remains, check your stuff before wiring up power.
lol
what death metal lol? u're paying blues with it.
You are not wrong haha
Mine died a few years ago, lol. Same with the Grunge, but I did get the new version of that later.
the "b" version?
My first rig was a gretch guitar and this pedal plugged into a crate 2x12. 😂😂😂 you can imagine the ungodly noise I made. Nice trip down memory lane.
oh good god haha
I still use my Digitech version. I can get it to sound pretty close to an HM-2 by cutting most of the highs. It's only good for metal.
which is the digitech version?
I got the DOD grunge pedal as my first myself
I find the grunge more usable for what I do.
