Animated 1866 Chassepot Reload and Flyby (Remastered)
Re-Upload with more clips
Remastered an old low poly model I made. I tried to just update it and make it more accurate with better textures, but I should also have added some polys in some areas, like the bolts.
It is modeled after one of the earlier versions from the Mutzig factory. The 1866 Chassepot was an needle-fire and early bolt-action rifle that used paper cartridges with internal primers. Similar to caseless ammunition, most material blows out of the barrel and there is no need to eject any of the paper cartridge between loads. The ammo models at the end show explosive-tipped rounds and some armor-piercing rounds that I found images of and decided to recreate alongside the remaster.

There's a few rough spots in the animations, namely a few spots where it clips, but I'm happy with it overall. www.artstation.com/artwork/o2ZzPB Buy the models at Gumroad or message me for other accommodations: 6880610896904.gumroad.com/l/puneu Music: Far From Home Acoustic by Madirfan on Pixabay I learned about this weapon on Forgotten Weapons channel: th-cam.com/video/lXHXXbAJ-lE/w-d-xo.html
Bittner M1896 Game-Ready Models

Game ready models of the Bittner M1896 Repeater Pistol. I made this model and these textures twice, as my SSD died -_- I had a backup, but it was dated. I'm happier with the the new case-hardened texture, the steel case could use a bit more time, but it's passable. See a bit more at www.artstation.com/artwork/o2ZzPB Buy the models here: 6880610896904.gumroad.com/l/puneu Music by madirfan from P...

Why can't we get a manufacturer to make this in .22 perhaps from stainless steel

I think the best repeating pistol is the volcanic gun it may have weak bullets but it's a good gun nowadays they are rare if I have 1 I would convert them into 45.cal

Hello! My dream goal right now is making a multiplayer shooter game set in the last years of the wild west like the year 1900. I've always been interested in the guns of that time and recently I have been researching guns, patents, equipment, and gameplay locations of that era for a while and now i'm faced with the daunting task of starting actual development.. I have absolutely no idea where to begin. To start off I need a direction like this: Should I start by modelling and texturing weapons, maps, characters and equipment, which seems like the easier choice -OR- should I learn coding, establish a baseline for features and gamerules to make the game work, before I start ''wasting'' time into game assets like guns, maps etc? I have 0 experience in 3D modelling and coding, although I am familiar with Autocad for 2D technical drawings. What did you use to model these? Does the same app work for animation? How do you transfer the models and animations to the game developing app? WHAT software do i even develop the game with? I know Unreal engine 4 and 5 apparently work for modelling and texturing maps, but can you code the parameters and functions of the game in the same app or do you need something else for that? CAN ANY OF THIS EVEN BE DONE WITH FREE APPS BECAUSE IM POOR STUDENT??? If you could answer any of these questions that would be a great help. Great videos and amazingly detailed models, actually maybe too detailed for my purpose! Keep up the good work. I sent this same message to your email so no need to answer on twice! :)

First you have to cock it and then operate the bolt. You cannot rotate the bolt with the striker forward.

The breakdown of this historical pioneering of pistols is very gorgeous & the demonstration of how the pistol operates is a work of beauty at its finest. Well done, sir. Well done.

What program are you using for 3d design? Have you seen some of the rotary mag Schulhof pistols? There's one I would love to get a 3d model of.

I use a few. I model and make the animation/renders in Blender. I’m using Quixel Mixer to create textures. And I use Marmoset to get quality normal bakes for the game-ready versions. The Schulhof pistols are really interesting! Seems like a lot of ring-trigger pistols have a cool aesthetic.

@@somnaetasart8821 thanks man. Something about these pistols really captures me. Might attempt to fabricate a non-functioning replicas using 3d prints. Have you seen the magazine mechanism for the Schulhof rifle? Super ingenious design and apparently he fabricated a repeating pistol with a similar mechanism. Very little information on it though.

Thanks! It took me quite a while on and off. It's hard to say anything accurate. There's two separate models, one is made for games and the other is the version with the full internals. I also lost a LOT of my work when my SSD died. It took everything but an old backup with it.
