I appreciate you man i want a manual safety on my gun and one of the guys at the store showed me a glock 43x after i had said i wanted one with a manual safely and he made a little joke talking about your finger is the safety so i appreciate you telling me not allow them to force me into something I'm not comfortable with.
@@Seahawks_fan_Free_Palestine no problem, It’s perfectly ok to want a gun with a safety. I do believe that your finger is your ultimate safety. I don’t like safeties on handguns and I try to avoid them. The ones I do have with safeties I leave them off. However there is no one way to carry a gun. I’d rather your carry one with a round in the chamber and safety on, than no round in the chamber because you have no safety. It’s normal to not be comfortable carrying a loaded weapon without a safety because you understand what it can do if you mess up. When you buy your first firearm practice drawing it a lot properly without your finger on the trigger. Get a good holster that’s hard and covers the trigger. If a gun store salesman can’t respect your wishes then don’t shop there. Either find a different salesman or find a different store. At the end of the day you’ll be spending on average 320-700 dollars on a new gun so it’s an investment you want to make sure you approve of. Don’t get forced into a gun, and if you need any recommendations let me know.
@@Fergtactical 💯💯 you're awesome and I appreciate that information man 🤙🏻
@@Seahawks_fan_Free_Palestine no problem
I have about 200 rounds through mine, with no issues with the mags. Hopefully mine is good, I only run 180 grain Winchester and Magtech FMJ through mine.
The stock mag springs worked fine for me with the weaker ammo prior to upgrading the recoil spring. I know the Winchester white box is pretty weak for 10mm, but I do know the magtech is around 605 ft pounds of energy at the muzzle. If you get a chance to run some hotter loads like 620+ ft pounds of energy, especially the hunting/bear loads, let me know how it runs.

I never thought of that. I don’t have a problem with plastic sights. I don’t plan on dropping my gun, and I don’t think people typically use their sights in civilian gunfights anyway.
@@gedocowboy8484 yeah Glock honestly Thought about everything out Lol. We all have Expectations and Preferences but we know who the King is. 🤣🤣❤️
The Glock 30 in any variation is a great carry pistol if you like .45. I prefer the 30S specifically and carried one for a number of years. I would carry it with a 12 round configuration and never felt particularly under gunned. These days I’ve transitioned mostly to 9mm and carry a 19 majority of the time or occasionally a 43x in the summer when I’m not wearing much clothing. In either case I have at least 15 rounds of 9mm plus whatever spare mags I keep in my bag, in the car, etc. I can shoot 9mm a bit faster than .45 auto while keeping nice tight groups so that’s why I choose to carry that platform. I still love to shoot my .45s at the range and for my action pistol events though.
The 30s is a great option as well. I personally have switched to mostly 9mm just do to weight. I typically either carry my CZ p10C now or my Glock 22. When I go running at night I’ll typically carry a g43x or my bodyguard 380. I love my Glock 30 but I wanted to start carrying something that didn’t feel like a brick as much lol.
Just ordered that plus 4 😮💨
10 + 1 is plenty for me. I know if i can hit a cat at 40 yards 1st shot. A human at 5 or 10 steps aint got a chance lol
@@zacharyasbury928 I hear you, but it’s common for many bad situations to have multiple attackers. Yes I can shoot and I am confident in my shooting. However when factoring in adrenaline the fbi says 30% of your shots hit. Granted that’s taking a broad spectrum of shooters with different skill levels, but adrenaline really change’s things. The last instance where someone almost tried to harm my girlfriend and I it was 5 guys. While we were minding our business they were planning to try to take our stuff and then some. I luckily ended up knowing one of the guys before anything happened. There were 5 guys and 4 of them had guns vs my girlfriend and I who both had firearms. I don’t want to get into a gun fight, but you never know anyone’s intent so I was going to fight to protect our lives to the best of my ability. I’m not saying I would’ve won, however I definitely get better having more than 10+1 in this situation. Nobody ever complains about having too many rounds when they are defending their life, so if I can carry more I always say why not.
Because instead of spending more money switching the trigger the sights getting it stippled getting a better slide just buy the Smith 😆
@@LTJunior74 great point 😂. However on this particular smith model the trigger is ok not as good as some of the others.
I get you but if you got the same result from aftermarket glock trigger you would say it feels great 😂
@@LTJunior74 in this case not really tbh. Glock triggers aren’t all that bad to me. I love the flat face design of the trigger in this smith but it’s gritty asf. My Glock triggers are actually smoother than this particular smith. But my boy has an m&p 2.0 9mm and the stock trigger feels quite a bit better than this smith. The ones in these 10mm smiths are just kinda gritty on the initial take up. Not a good sample for what smith can do.
You're not limited if you buy a higher-capacity mag. Most gun fights are over in 3 too 5 rounds, if you can aim.
@@tax905972 you’re not wrong, but your key word is most. I did up capacity but with capacity especially in a 45 comes increased weight. Most gun fights won’t last past 5 seconds however it’s also a common thing that when home invasions and attacks happen there are more than 2 people with firearms. Especially in my area, people move in groups. I am very accurate with this gun, but the fbi statistics show that in a defensive situation the common average is 30% shots are hits. Granted thats factoring in adrenaline and people who don’t have training but still. If statically speaking 30% of my shots are said to hit the target and I know a lot of attacks are done with more than 1-2 people, I definitely want as many rounds as I can carry. At the end of the day nobody knows what situation they will be in when something bad happens so I’d rather be adequately or even over prepared to defend my life with more rounds because I only get one life.
@@Fergtacticalat home is where capacity really matters. You’re not carrying it all day so the more the better, ideally a 9mm.
WHAT AMMO ARE YOU USING? GLOCKS HAVE A LONG REPUTATION FOR JAMMING SO DON'T BE A FANBOY !! I CARRY THE 26, BUT I OWNED A 21 WHICH WAS SO BAD I SOLD IT.45 will be too snappy for many.
@@tax905972 fanboy? I was just stating my personal experience, and I clearly stated that glock reliability is blown out of proportion. That being said I’ve ran a ton of ammo through it. I have shot it with and carry it with federal hst. I also have shot pmc, blazer, Winchester Umc, and quite a few other brands. This gun has never jammed on me and neither has my Glock 22. The only Glock I’ve had jam on me out of all the ones I’ve owned/shot is my gf’s G43x. Those are a bit more finicky in comparison as we’ve had about 3-4 malfunctions total with it. I have the most rounds through my Glock 22 and Glock 30, and for me they are my most reliable handguns I own and have shot.
@@Fergtactical when did you say that? Maybe I missed it. If so I will man up and apologize!!
@@Fergtactical Glocks were so unreliable, many police 👮♀️ departments were threatening to stop authorizing them. I’m a retired NYPD officer 👮. Back in 2002 Glock saved their ass by showing up to our nypd outdoor range with engineers and gunsmiths to strip down all of our Glocks because they were jamming. When we first went to semi automatic handguns in 1993 , the city only allowed shit full metal jacket ball ammo. Glocks do better with ball ammo than hollow point ammunition. After 1999 the department switched to Gold Dot 124gr +p jacket hollow point ammo. The best decision they ever made. Glocks had a bad reputation with hollow point ammo. Let’s remember the gun was designed for the military. They only use NATO rounds . These TH-cam creators only use full metal jacket ball ammunition in their guns. Shit u believe only the state of New Jersey is the only state which bans hollow point ammo for self defense. One must practice with the ammunition they use for self defense because they operate differently. In mist cases they’re more powerful.
@@tax905972 I mentioned it at 1:32 and if you go to the top comment thread on this video my reply to the original comment said that Glock reliability is blown out of proportion. For me though they’ve been my most reliable guns but I understand that not everyone has the same experiences. My dad is a sgt here in Soflo and he has been on the force for just shy of 30 years at this point. He’s had a good experience with his service firearms which have been Glock. So it really varies person to person and department to department honestly. I personally try to shoot my guns with what I carry them with as much as possible, but as a college student that’s a bit tough sometimes lol. I appreciate you sharing your experiences. I always see the forums where people talk about how they got a bad Glock, or had a bad experience with a few but I’ve never spoken to anyone who has personally so I appreciate you for sharing again. For me 2/3 of my Glocks have been consistently the most reliable guns I own, and they’ve eaten everything I’ve tossed at them. So far my close friends Glocks have performed well too with different ammo. If I get a bad one in the future I’ll definitely do a review on it. I know some models don’t run as well as others, so we will see what the future holds. I’m not a brand loyalist and I give honest reviews so I wouldn’t mind exposing any issues I may have in the future.
Is that your closet?
@@JohnSmith-ln2ow yea, I was grabbing all my range stuff to head out and figured I’d start recording there. That’s where my gun safes are and everything too, and it’s one of the easiest places for me to record without background noise so I use it from time to time 🤷🏾♂️.
That’s great what you did at the range most people will fill an whole magazine and let first time shooters dump the whole magazine no recoil control or they don’t know how to properly hold the firearm you only loaded one bullet in let the magazine let him shoot that round so he could get the feel you never see that honestly
@@Glockteen357 thanks, I really try to let people have fun in the safest way possible. One of these days I want to do a video with newer shooters trying out big calibers for the first time. I’m going to do the same thing with one round just so they can get a feel for it first.
10mm was developed to be a powerful stout round, to compete between 9mm and 45 acp, .40sw was developed because they couldn't handle the recoil, 10mm tops easy
@@callsign_koschei 10mm doesn’t compete with 45 and 9mm it out performs them by quite a margin. 40 however is a lot closer in energy to 9/45. You’re correct though, 40 is derived from 10 and 10 easily tops all of them.
Here is pt.2 to this video: th-cam.com/video/ad4lcHmP-dw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WOfrV9wx7zX7hWzG From what I researched people are saying the mag falling out is a design flaw with how the mag is manufactured while using higher grain bullets. Here are a few links to show what I’m talking about here, and I discussed it further in the next video. www.reddit.com/r/SmithAndWesson/s/9KklBVUDSl th-cam.com/video/owg-NxwTXo4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=yYP4CSe0dCGVvNAi www.reddit.com/r/10mm/s/2oxUhji0k6
I've ran 200s and higher and haven't had any issues with the mag. I'm really wondering if it has to do with your grip. 10mil deff has snap to it. And you deff have to hang onto it. Love my 2.0 10mm
@@bryanclayton74 are you running hot 200s or the target loads? My gun runs the weaker target stuff just fine. On the other hand with the full power 10mm loads it’s been hit or miss with those for me and a lot of people. I would have to say it’s not my grip in this case. All I really shoot the majority of the time is 10mm, 45 +p, and 40 +p in other frames guns and have never had this issue. Sure the 10mm bear loads have decent kick but it’s nothing super crazy. I made sure I was nowhere near pressing the mag release and it still did it. It’s a well documented issue with these guns. Checkout the links up top if you haven’t. However I purchased some parts to upgrade it with along with a decent amount of hardcast ammo. I’m going to do another video seeing if my upgrades fixed it. I’m also going to probably shoot it one handed so no excuses can be made for or against the gun. Some people have 0 issues with hot loads, some people have worse issues than mine, and then you have the ones whose guns work semi ok like mine.
Those 40's are snappy, takes time to get used it them.
@@TACNERD1 tbh it’s really not that bad in this frame since it’s a full sized gun. I’ve shot some smaller 40s that were pretty bad though. Definitely took me a little to get used to the sights though since I was used to the crappy plastic Glock sights lol.
I love the Glock 30 I’ve seen so many videos on it it might be my first handgun when I turn 21 in a few months I like the Glock 29 though
@@Glockteen357 it was my first gun when I hit 21. Either way with the 29 or 30 you can’t go wrong, I plan on grabbing a 29 in the future. That being said just make sure you train with it a lot.

Not to shit on you but energy wise you shouldve bought a glock 23 im getting 550ft lbs of energy with underwood XTP 155grain, 45acp on average is in the 400's just something to consider when it comes to size, weight and mag capacity.
@@YattaMoyo I hear you but honestly if I was worried about energy I’d carry my fullsized 10mm which I do on occasion, or buy a fully supported barrel and run 45 super out of the Glock 30. However muzzle energy isn’t my top priority and 45 acp +p is sufficient for self defense in my opinion. As long as I have a round that’s proven for self defense I’m good. I also prefer fullsized guns so that’s typically what I buy and carry. I have a Glock 22 that I carry quite a bit, and it’s one of the few 40 caliber guns that check all my boxes. I will probably get a g23 in the future just to mess around with it at the range, but I’d rather carry my g22 over the g23. The g23 is definitely a solid carry gun though as long as you can shoot it, I just prefer the more capacity and a longer sight radius from the g22.
@@Fergtactical that Glock 22 with the 155 grain xtp is basically up there with 10mm factory loads their loaded pretty weak if the 10mm isn't underwood then your in the 500-600s, you can achieve that with that Glock 22 and still have a slimmer overall gun, and if you have to plus p a 45 that alone should tell you something, only ammo I have plus p is my 380 Glock 42 and I only pocket carry that when I'm in casual clothes or sportwear
@@YattaMoyo my 10mm isn’t a thick one, it’s a smith and wesson m&p 2.0 which is honestly slightly slimmer than my g22. I run sig vcrown for self defense which has 624 ft pounds of muzzle energy. For woods defense I run underwood hardcast 220 grain which clocks in at 703 ft pounds. The only time I run the weaker stuff is at the range, and you’re correct it’s about the same as +p 40 cal. For 45 I have run in the past federal hst without +p, and either way I trust that with my life too. I also run a 380 only when I work, but not plus p because smith and wesson doesn’t recommend doing that with that gun. 40 is definitely a slept on round and it’s definitely grown on me. I used to not be a fan of it until my gf and I bought the Glock 22. I like 40 more than 9mm. I like 40 because it’s like a nice middle ground between 9 and 45 with capacity and stopping power. I’d just rather carry a 10mm that’s about the same size if I was going to try and push it close to 10mm energy. I run sig vcrown 180gr on my Glock 22 which only has 388 ft pounds of energy. Nothing special but it’ll get the job done, I’m thinking about switching to their 165 gr because it has 435 ft pounds.

@@dakotastrong2391 that’s also a great suggestion. The reason I didn’t talk about it in this video is because I wouldn’t really consider that a beginner pistol. I’m sure there are stores that stock them, but unfortunately none in my are do. The shadow system is similar to a Glock but better so theoretically if someone likes a Glock it’s likely they would like the shadow systems. I’m ok with one carry if your pistol is in a holster and rifle is in a sling. You gun should not be in your hand unless there is a problem or it’s brief you’re putting in the holster. That isn’t aggressive walking around with a pistol on your hand no no no.
@@MrJimmy-fl2bn yes I agree, carrying without a holster/sling is irresponsible, a bad look, and it’s also illegal. It’s one thing to lawfully and responsibly open carry, it’s another thing to walk around with it out of a holster which is essentially just brandishing. I actually see people do this quite often when I go to St. Louis. Often times people will walk down the street with an Ak or AR pistol without a sling just holding it in their hands, but most of them doing that can’t even legally own a firearm anyways so that’s a whole different issue.

@@quoththeraven7 yea that’s why I was saying this glock and only my Glock 22 haven’t had malfunctions. The 43x I’ve had only a few failures with here and there but not more than 3-4 tops. It’s definitely a little more finicky compared to my other Glocks in my experience. Glocks are definitely blown a bit out of proportion when it comes to reliability in some cases however they are very reliable, and have been the most reliable guns for me. I’m just saying in my experience, out of the handguns I own and shoot quite a bit the only ones I haven’t had any failures with are my Glock 22 and Glock 30 which are also the two guns shot the most. That’s another reason I also only run oem mags for self defense. I’ll definitely check your video out about the 43x, was that using oem Mags or aftermarket?
What mag were you using
Send it to Glock
@@Fergtacticalman stop biting your tongue Glocks are good money if you going to make a video stand on what you say, just because some random guy had a few issues you holla you had issues all guns have problems break in time and feeding issues sometimes, dude could have had crap ammo or a lemon stop folding and stand tall 🫡
He running them aftermarket mags go look he should be a shame of his self typing all that hating bs run your ome before you cry or just ask the man to watch your video
Nice review. I have a G30 gen 3 and wanted to know what type of IWB holster you use. I didn't quite understand it in the video.
@@ArimaxServices thanks! I should’ve probably went further In depth on that. My holster is from insane kydex creations, and it’s their light bearing Iwb holster with the baby yoda design on it. The style of the clip I have is called the Dcc monoblock which works well for both a belt and for short/sweat pants/joggers. Along with that I have the mod wing on it which pushes against your belt to keep the gun tucked closer to you.
6:35 FACTS 30X 23X 32X 26X 33X with Light Rails. Glock gotta step out the 📦. The Gun Look not what people complaining about. But we need more Model's 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Bring 357 Sig BACK!
100% bro! The 19x is cool, and so Is the 43x. I just wish they would do it with all the other models like you said. Glock does stuff we didn’t want/need 😂. Like the g47 and g49 is a cool concept and I understand the purpose of it but that could’ve definitely done some other things people wanted.
I been thinking about getting a G-30S OR Gen 5 30
Depends on what you’re looking for, the only reason I’d go Gen 5 is because you can get them in mos, and they have front slide serrations. However the 30s is the best option for concealed carry in my opinion.
@@Fergtacticalisk how I missed this TH-cam need to stop Playa Hating me bro 😂😂😂😂😂.
