where is the full video ?
Is the ambulance originally fitted with more than one battery? How do you avoid power drain? I'd be interested to know more about this system as I have similar but AA van.
went here every year from the age of 7 until 21.
What did u use to have it sealed from water?
That's a right handy channel 😎 nice neat solution 👌
Hopefully. It’s been long enough :-)
i have just realised that your mercedes interior is almost if not exactly the same as my 2008 VW ambulance, do you have an email my friend? as would be useful if i have any questions in the future. cheers :)
makes sense i bet it was made by the same company too UVMODULAR , my email is dan [at] fnixproductions [dot]co.uk
What ambulance do you have? Ive just got myself a 2008 VW Crafter Ambulance almost complete conversion with full Carnation Designs phoenix system still installed, 1800w Xantrex inverter and Tecsup 40A battery charger. Intrested in your videos and i may post some myself too 👍 👌
Yeah mine is a 2007 Mercedes Sprinter
Is that what they call the 41mm strut?
As far as I am aware yeah
My favorite part was the little wasp but the unistrut was a close second.
I’ve just bought a 07 master with this system in it but a lot of it has been gutted I would like to try get it operational again to tap into for auxiliary lighting etc. have you got copy’s of the wiring diagrams
Looking good with the locker up chap 😎 Have a good Christmas and New year 👍
Thanks, you too!
Any Progress is Progress mate 👌 Good to see you're still at it 👍
Yeah been doing it for soo long I have to finish it off now , not spending this much time to give up now
Slowly Slowly catchy monkey 👍 Still not finished mine either 😂 Nice score on the solar panels chap 👍 I have 7 tapes in my van, sill can never bloody find one 🤔
These are quite hard to locate, especially the wireless thing theyre pared with for the display, These are proper weird things people usually have never Heard of.... I can imagine running doom on one of these in a park!
might actually try that , ive got like 20 of them in a box collecting dust now
@@FNIX_Productions I wouldn't mind buying one for my collection, even though without the other accessories it won't work much but I'm sure I can figure something out.
send me a message on insta fnix.productions and ill see about getting one posted to you , i might still have some that have the orginal OS as used by some disney parks , see other CF07 videos for what the app looks like Teardown 8.5 iirc
@@FNIX_Productions seems interesting, I think I have a ZIF hard drive adapter that I can connect Via USB I can go about dumping the program and preserving it
Cool 😎 Reminds me of the rides I used to go on in the 70s on Walton pier 👍
That's really coming on well 😁 Thanks for the update chap 👍
That's really moving on at a pace now 👍 Cheers chap 😎
Who is that. That’s mint
buddy of mine who used to work in the arcade , you shouldve seen it when he first got it
Interesting project 👍 Makes a change to see a carnival ride restored
Yeah I thought so too , hope all is well
@@FNIX_Productions fine here chap just reworking my cabinetry, again 👌
Mine was insulated well also , WAS seem to be the worst ? Good to see you cracking on with it 👍
Slowly getting there , one day will be sorted
They do that. Plate retains water, doors get left open in bad weather on shouts, boots track water and mud in and eventually the step fails.
Nice one :) That's not something you get to see very often, i did used to service vehicals for a fair but all i got to do was service 4X4s 😂 interesting vid 👍
Not my project but something im helping a friend do , might not be able to get down and record much on this but we shall see
Are you fnix gaming? I want to said that can you help me boot hilton ultimate team play in ppsspp
nice info there chap 👍i'm sure it's a bit nerdy but i enjoyed it and looking forward to Pt2 😁
Glad to see you haven't given up on it chap 👍 Warmer weather is just around the corner (thank fook) so at least you won't freeze whilst working on it 😁
Yeah has been slow progress , bit by bit I'll get her sorted
@@FNIX_Productions same here chap 👍 in the last 12 months all I've done is move the fridge 3 times , i need to stop changing my mind 😟
hi. Am keeping an eye on your progress so hope you will continue to document your projects. I own a 2008 UV Modular Sprinter and am also wondering just what to do with the roof. Certainly a uninstrut frame is a good place to start! Solar panels that can be tilted seems like a smart move, and a large Marine-type skylight to replace the rear roof vent. Happy new year to you and your 🚑
Hello , thanks for the comment , it seams your roof idea aligns with mine , going to initially have fixed panels and i too want to replace at least the rear vent with a bigger skylight (as thats the one that will be over my bed eventually) Happy New year to yourself
Glad to see your still at it chap 👍 With so many holes already in the roof it'd be mad to not use them and drill new ones 😁
thanks for the comment , hope you are doing okay I actually re-watched your roof rail videos before i started this ;)
do you have a twitter account or discord that i could contact you from? I had a few questions about something
Sure, you can message me on twitter @dans8712
@@FNIX_Productions I don't think that's a correct account, it leads to an account to 2012
Yeah that's mine
Could be the floor ply has warped a bit 🤔 you could allways countersink the head of the bolt in a bit so it don't get in the way ? Keep at it chap 👍
Thanks , I'll get there eventually, re watched your roof rack video as that's on the list too
Any progress is good progress mate 😁 keep plugging away at it 👍
Well done on the tail lift 👍 frikken nightmare aint they 😭 Should get a few more MPG with that gone 😁 Anti roll bar bushes are what your looking for 👍 TBH as long as they ain't ripped they're ok, they tend to last well but they are usually the first items to wear out 🤔 Tyres 😮 2 of mine are cracked 😭 I'll probably go for michelins again but @ £160 a pop it's a bitter pill to swallow 😮
Thanks bud , as you can probably tell mechanical things are not my strong point
You have great luck. I searching for this Modell a long time and become only one over time. The docking are so rare there is no words for. Thank for your teardown video. I used it to upgrade my other Modell. I was not shure what kind of HD there inside the device. The T Secure Screw is a normal thing on this Modell. My old one and your Modell has the same security feature. I love this Maschine. It is slow but a real ToughBook. Tomorrow I became a cf to 50pin adapter and I will try to recover and boot them form an Fast CF Card. So the power Consumtion and the heat will shrink down. Battery - the battery has standard ToughBook cells inside I habe many of them and I invest a mass of euros to upgrade the Zells für 7 of them. I hope you have fun with your devices. I you are interested in sale one of them or more take a note to me. Greetings from Berlin Germany.
sorry only just seen this , not done too much with the cf-07's , i think i have around 12 to play with
To be honest , I've got a box of em sitting around doing nothing
@@FNIX_ProductionsYou wouldn't happen to have a spare port replicator you would be willing to part with?
@nelsontheunholy I've found they are rare as heck , I've only got the one
@@FNIX_Productions No worries. I have a cf-19 dock on order as it uses the same connector and has a similar port layout so I am going to give that a go.
Tail lift removal will be fun ☹️ i use a pallet truck to lower it, easyer than using a trolly jack IF you know where you can borrow one ? Keep chipping away at it chap , 👍
I got my heater running a few days ago, it goes from 5 C to 25C in 20 mins 😮 it's unbearable unless i open all the roof vents ! With that insolation it'll be toasty in there 👍
Dam that's a slim loom 😮 I left most of mine in 😟 Genisys is a brave move 👍 look forward to seeing how it goes 😎
You and me both!
Toffee wheel, traffic film remover and plastic razor blades for the decals. You won't find a back door, fabbing a new panel would be your best bet. That corner is a strike from street furniture, I'll put money on it. The sealer is Sikaflex, it'll come apart with a Stanley blade easily, just apply pressure and run the blade along the seam. The back is indeed done with one loom and options added depending on the specs and base chassis. Antenna connectors will be GPS and UHF/3G. The male FME is UHF/3G and the other is GPS and can be connected right to any GPS receiver, Ublox or similar. The UHF antenna will be tuned to 430MHz(ish) for Airwave if its a whip or 3G HSDPA if its a little stubby, you'll have at least three sets of these. Normally one for the now removed Terrafix system and two Airwave sets.
Thanks for this , answered a fair few questions I had
@@FNIX_Productions we do a lot of work on these truck
Looks good!- Lucky you had the wiring schematics! I like the labeling scheme
I bet those decals are a fooking nightmare in the cold ☹️ they are bad enough in the summer 😭 Are you gonna try and sell the tail lift or just weigh it in ?
They a nightmare in the bloomin summer so I'll probably wait till it gets warmer again .. as for the tailift probably going to just weigh it in
@@FNIX_Productions Yea let us know how you get on with the tail lift!- how was you experiance with Genisis wiring!
My van was pre genesis , a system called pheonix , tbh it wasnt as bad as I thought , took me the best part of a day to remove it as I took each wire out one at a time
Video number 12 if you wanna see what I did
Those pin switches just make or break the earth, probably for the rear step light and the tail lift, to stop it being used with the door closed posssbly 🤔 Good to see your still at it 👍 time does slip away doesn't it ☹️
So how do I use them ?
@@FNIX_Productions if you have a light you run the live direct to the light and the earth to that pIn switch, when the door opens the earth is made and the light comes on, it's just a switch like any other but it switches the earth whereas normally you switch the positive 👍
Fair play man! Progress is looking great 🔥🔥
Appreciate it!
I'm SO glad i managed to buy one already destickerd 🤞 I feel for you chap 👍
Keep the faith chap 👍 It'll get there 😎 It's much more fun when bits start to come together, although space starts to disappear at an alarming rate when is does 👍
Glad they're getting someone some use 👍
I'm so glad i got my ambulance already striped and painted 👍 Normal decals are bad enough but that industrial stuff is a bastd 😭
yeah is a proper pain in the ass
Nice one 👍 That was obviously right up my street 😎 I got a sheet of decals for mine but TBH i had to buy a sheet of 200 just to get 10 odd i needed ☹️ looking forward to the main board vid 👍
Best game in the arcade
I Found it interesting chap cheers 👍 I've had a few games cabinets with a similar set up but without the box, though they were reel type machines, complete with the screen and full cabinets, just dumped in a recycling center 🙄 mind you over lockdown a lot of pubs this way have closed down ☹️
Glad to see your back on it chap 👍
Good to see you back on the amby, warmer weather helps 😁 i'm aiming for completion by this winter too 👍 well usable by thus winter at least 🤔 Nice one 😎
Thanks , it is certainly slow going but all the work I'm doing now will be worth it
@@FNIX_Productions sure will chap 👍
