Watching all these videos one thing jumps out at me. When everyone is trying to land these planes, any planes with flaps in almost every case the person flying always pulls the power off far too early. When landing with flaps the plane literally needs to be flown onto the runway with some power. Why do I say this, well, I fly rc and I also fly full size. Cheers!

Pilot Smith: Let me ask you a question I have the exact same plane and my builder has a servo for the tail wheel and he said it is stationary. I don’t get it if the tail wheel is stationary there is no need for the servo in my opinion what do you think?

Seagull models makes some really good planes- good to see these larger ones coming out of the factory

What I did on mine with the jp, is I dremeled out the top layer of the gear mounts so the gear would sit a little farther down, my gear doors are super flush to the wing. I haven’t done the inner gears doors yet though, what servos did you use for those?

Why this plane is that heavy? Other kind of piper models with the same wingspan are much lighter (e.g. from Hangar 9 Carbon Cub with 5.6kg). The original plane is one of the lightest plane ever and you made a model that heavy? 8kg? Really?

Just got mine. Pretty nice. Will use a twin 30. Twin 40 would need to cut the cowl.

Hopefully soon to arrive in the UK distribution network. Oct 2023, listed on some European sales sites. I understand the first kits have left the factory and are probably destined to the States for distribution by Legend Hobby for the American market. On the face of it, a reasonable rendition of a later long nose Pietenpol fitted with a fairly typical up to date Continental Teledyne 0-200 type engine. Google the French registration of the full size aircraft to see that it has been retro fitted with Piper J4 Cub tail feathers, wing tips or perhaps complete wings. The kit with the French registration is therfore not very scale! The Seagull kit depicts the correct colour scheme for the depicted French registered example but sadly has ducked fitting the scale Piper Cub modifications! So the kit depicts an early airframe shape with modern engine installed. To be totally scale, this model should have been produced using Cub parts. Any competent modeller wanting improved scale detail using this Seagull kit as a building base would do well to fit the correct Piper parts to ensure improved authenticity. That said, Seagull have made a reasonable attempt at this model and despite inaccuracies, this model is at the top of my wish list.

Looks like they have nice planes. Sent several emails asking questions on their products. They never replied back. What a way to lose a sale.

Did you give a coat of flat clear?? I think after you attach the ribs to the control surfaces, flat clear will hide the adhesive spots
