Mounting Request for Shikoku 88 Pilgrimage Kakejiku Hanging Scroll [KAKEJIKU / ART NOMURA]
This time, our story is about a request for mounting a Shikoku Pilgrimage kakejiku.
Going on a pilgrimage to these temples to collect the goshūin (red seal stamp) of each temple having it written on the main work of the kakejiku then mounting it to finish is the making procedure.
Much to our amazement, we received a request of this Shikoku Pilgrimage kakejiku from a Swiss customer this time.

What glue do you use? Is nori paste acceptable for non-valuable scrolls?

Re. the second "Plum Blossoms" scroll and the removal of the backing. This is my experience with Western papers. They do not peel back but must be rubbed off or remove (carefully!) with a scalpel. Ugh. Must do some tai-chi after! Love the silk border surround put on the Blum Blossoms.
