Manual Jeep Bearing Noise Explained! | Centerforce Clutches
Manuals are the best. Automatics don't last. Mine always went out.
Great video!! I will be checking this over the winter!! I believe you may have helped solve my nuisance rattle issue.
Excellent clutch !
✌️
mine rattles more with the hydraulic upgrade then it did before
Think mine just started this, it's very intermittent, thought i had a zip tie or something on my drive shaft
Is there a link to the product I need this
Short and sweet
Im in for a 2025 run. Got my stage 2 installed and ready and broke in.
But my normal every day driving on the road is flat out
How can you participate in this run?
So does the guy with the blue gladiator have a TH-cam channel
Just had my Dyad installed & it absolutely shifts smoothly
Who tf has time for 500 miles of stop and go? Yanking this thing out for a spec clutch.
will it work on 1999 wrangler ?
"Why use a manual transmission?" - video by Clutch company 🤨💀
100% playing with sticks😉♥️☮️ from 🇭🇲🍻
Great information very bad video work why filming so far away a close up would have been great
Trails look fun! Do y’all have a map of the routes taken?
Very fun trip! Thanks so much for letting me come along.
Why not a freaking recall...
Recalls are only on safety items, this is just bad design and premature failure from it.
I prefer the increased torque from an automatic, plus the other benefits. Never going to buy these arguments for manual off road.
Wow! So many complaints about the clutch rattle on the JK. I've got an 07 JK 177K miles and the original Mopar clutch and no rattle. I think when mine finally does go out, I'll spend the extra cash and go back with the Mopar as most of the rattle complaints I see in Alldata Community and on IATN are aftermarket kits.
As a JK owner and a MOPAR service and parts employee, the factory design is trash, out of the box the bearing slops around, the retainer springs start clicking and then creaking, even if lubed properly. The ONLY reason to stay MOPAR on these parts is the parts warranty, get 23 months worth of use and rattling, come to the dealership, hand them the purchase receipt, okay the diag fee, and get a free warrantied repair on the part. I’m on my 4th unit. But, the next one, I’m going to switch over to this because it is a PIA. Plus I’m tired of people telling me hey there’s something rattling underneath your Jeep, like I can’t hear it 🙄
Great video, ty
What gear ratio do you have in that JL? I have a stock 24 3.6 with 488 and 33" tires, and theres no way that I can release the clutch at idle where it wont stall, even on a slight down hill .
I’ve dusted 3 McLeod clutches in my car in 4 years , just put them in and started whipping on them , I’ll have to actually give the break in a try thank go we own a flywheel grinder
Ahh.. salvation.. I finally can make it stop..
Mine started slipping suddenly under power. It's glazed 😢 my bad hahahah I'll be nicer to the new organic I just put in.
Internal slaves are a massive step backwards. Dropping the entire drivetrain every time it needs serviced is a nightmare.
You should never need to service a slave tbh. You dont need to bleed them for any reason other then damage. They are also better for offroad since they have less issues with dirt/water. Also, the manual transmission in a JL/JT only take about an hour to remove on a lift
Great content!
😮f*****
few thousandsth
Is this available for a 2001 Dodge Ram with an NV3500? My fork, throwout bearing, and collar are pooched. The time is right for this if it is available. In addition, I have a 2000 Dakota with a 2.5L and a 5 speed I want to upgrade with this as well. HELP!!!
But why is brad there he always have a automatic
The JK also feels that way on a stock clutch
Just got mine delivered
@6:37 Neat summary
Too bad my JK has had a rattling throwout since new. When i contacted the company, i was told theyd send another throwout, but its common and i should just get used to it. Wtf. Edit. I just looked and see the internal slave is available for my model now. Just sucks that particular problem didnt show up until i replaced my stock clutch with the "premium" centerforce clutch, flywheel, and throwout.
The most common cause of rattles on JKs throwout was over bending the metal tab that holds it to the fork
This looks interesting. At 300K miles on my JK, I am so tired of that rattle. However, the rattle isn't what broke on Kaiparowitz Plateau in April, forcing me to use 4WD-low's crank-in-gear feature to get down off the mountain into Escalante. It was that horrible master cylinder. It was only six months old! How about making one of those part of the hydraulic kit? :-)
CenterForce was the first clutch I installed as an early inspiring mechanic on my 89 firebird. Well I didn’t torque the pressure plate bolts and it clicked for a good couple years. Lol Still hooked like crazy though
I've always preferred manual over auto, from my 1st car a 96 Camaro SS 6spd, to my current rig a 2012 Xterra Pro4X 6spd, and 2 5spd silverados and a 6 spd wrangler in between. Manuals have a huge advantage in the snow, last Jan. I drove up to the bottom of a hill with a current gen Ford Raptor stuck at the bottom, the owner even said "good luck" as I got ready to attempt the hill. He was pretty surprised to see my Xterra with bald 33" tires go up the hill like it wasn't shit. I've gotten up hills with a bunch of 4x4s stuck at the bottom in 2wd before and having driven automatic 4x4a before, having the manual made 100% of the difference.
During a water crossing, if you change gears with a manual transmission you risk getting water in the clutch which can cause issues in the future. With an automatic transmission, however, you can change gears or stop driving and no water will find its way into the gearbox. This makes automatic transmissions the better choice for you if you know you’ll be facing a lot of water crossings with your 4×4.
Wouldn’t this happen regardless while driving in rain, snow, mud?
I just ordered fhe CF II and heavy flywheel for my gladiator Rubicon. Expecting better results over stock.
Mine is backwards it rattles when I’m off the clutch and gone when I press the clutch.
How did you bleed the system from the top with the vacuum pump?
It would take me 10 years to do 500 miles of city driving 😂
Man I wish this had been out three years ago when I had a centerforce II installed on my JK.
This video literally saved me from unloading my 2015 JK. Jeep spent over a month in the shop with two clutches installed until a friend shared this video with me and I shared with the mechanic. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Who is driving the gladiator
thanks for the info!
