That movie was the very first movie my dad woke me up at 1:30 in the morning to watch and made me promise to never to let my mom find out, I was 12 years old, an that movie an that car an the way James Taylor drove an raced it , set the way of my life from that day on, my most desired car in my life was an will forever worship is an always be the 1955chevy 210belair post, an I did have such a car, an yes it was a car my dad bought me at 21, he died a month later sadly, and It was a roller, but I had to sell it to help my mother keep our home, but I vowed to get it back,28 long years later I did for 25000$, with out hesitation, and I got everything I found to make it like the car I first fell in love with an I did it, an regretedly I was forced to sell it again 7 years later do to physical reasons an to dogs that I loved more than my own life, it was one of the fastest cars in 5 towns, an it made my driving talent very well known for the rest of my life, but I will be giving another chance to have another 55 Chevy again, I hope....cause when I was out driving it, I would look over to my wright an vividly see my dad looking at me with a big smile an knew he was proud of me an he was the happiest he could ever be, an i realized how much I miss him every day!, I wish he was still with us, he said my problem was I was born to late in time, but I was born to drive, had I been born sooner, I would have really been great, in my mind .......it will be 1955 forever!!;, I love an miss u dad always! thank you for the privilege of being ur son, an for waking me up the night to watch that movie with you.ur son, john

I'm looking at a picture of both 55 cars used for the movie. Car 1 looks good n car 2 is set up with running boards for filming n has two shades of paint. Both 55 are parked along side of the orange GTO on a movie studio lot. Theirs an image of car two being pulled by a truck for filming scenes. It doesn't look as good car 1. Was car 1 taken for American Graffiti?
