      Ohh happy to hear you have been to Korea (hope you enjoyed my country🤗🇰🇷) There are many Korean food stalls and restaurants compared to decade ago, but in my humble opinion, not many of them deliver authentic Korean taste here in London..:( I assume its mainly because not all Korean restaurants are owned and run by Koreans🧐 But still there are a few hidden gems! Thanks for the video - Primrose Hill and the streets of Belsize Park always look good. As for Primrose Hill I have been reading that since COVID it has been getting a bit of a bad reputation - illegal raves, antisocial behavior at night, stabbings etc. Its a shame as its such a nice park with a beautiful view. I remember the Gay Fawkes bonfires and firework displays in the park on 5th Nov or thereabouts late 80s / early 90s. Mid 90s they started to get cancelled and then disappeared for good - supposedly because there were too many people coming to the park and also due to safety / crime aspects. Have a good week!

    • @Edmund30s
      @Edmund30s หลายเดือนก่อน

      Indeed, it has become sometimes dangerous particularly in the evening:( During last year New Eve’s firework, teenage boy got stabbed to death which immensely saddened but also frightened me. This area is genuinely beautiful and I do wish that it would get better and better. Cyclist pickpocketers also began to intrude our area…. However, it still remains safe in overall and feel that it is wealthy(?) compared to other parts of London😊 Thanks for watching my video and your comment encourages me to appreciate where I live but also to contribute to community well-being☺️

      @@Edmund30s As for England's lane - the Starbucks on the corner used to be a Barclays Bank branch before - got robbed at gunpoint sometime in early 90s I think. There was also a Chinese restaurant on the road - forgot the name but I think it had 'moon' in the name maybe - owner disappeared and it was widely reported in the local press - Camden New Journal etc - some mob related doings. There was also a launderette - later on in life I used it a few times because UK is such a civilized country that washing machines are not necessarily available in rented accommodation lol. As for pubs check out if you already haven't Sir Richard Steeles on Haverstock Hill - spent many happy evenings there in the late 90s / early 2000s, then it closed but has now supposedly reopened. If you are out and about walking I would be interested on whats going on on Belsize Grove - used to live for a bit at the Straffan Lodge block on 1 Belsize Grove. Was pretty good and 'luxurious' (for Brit standards back in the days, which means nothing now lol) but now I am hearing it is kind of run down.

      You are a walking encyclopaedia! I am mesmerised by all these old vignettes and history of the area - Barclays robbed at gunpoint?! Intimidating as well! Ofc I know Belsize Grove and the Lodge there which now relatively looks very old compared to other flats. But its still there:) pub info noted on my list and I laughed a lot out of your “civilised” London experience without laundry (those who haven’t lived in London would never believe what we say! Those flats you viewed looked pretty rough - your current one is so much nicer. I would imagine that with council tax and basic bills you would be easily paying over 2000 pounds per month. That is just an insane amount of money for a relatively small and shabby space (albeit in a great area). Paying that much in rent I would definitely consider buying your own place and putting that money towards mortgage payments instead of in a landlord's pocket. With hybrid / remote working there is no real reason why a place on the outskirts of London or even outside of London would not work well for you. BTW if I had to choose out of the three flats you showed I think I would choose the first one - with the classic Belsize Park street view. The one with a view over Hampstead tube station I would find kind of hard to relax in / too hectic and as for the third one in St Johns Wood - the building made me feel uneasy - it had a council estate/ tower of terror vibe to it.

    Nice video, reminds me of when I lived in Belsize Park area in the early 2000s. But not missing it - London can be a very lonely and depressing place especially for people from abroad and the dating 'game' was and probably still is just terrible. Have a great Sunday!

      @@Edmund30s Fully agree that its is a beautiful area, its just a shame that nowadays you need to be a ruzzian oligarch, celebrity, premier league footballer or some lord to be able to even consider buying in the area . UK has generally been on a downward slope from at least the mid 2000s and maybe even earlier. Its sad how things have become. BTW I attended the primary school at the bottom of Primrose Hill - St Paul's - late 80s / early 90s - best time of my life.

    Edmund, how could you make me laugh and cry in seconds in 1 video. Somehow it recalled my memory in my teenager, twenties and recently. I got laid off recently, we got the announcement on March and my last work day was May. in that 2 months I experienced many stages :shock, anger, sad, worthless, hopeless and finally acceptance. But during that 2 months I decided to choose random language to learn, I chose German. And I still learning until now. the first jobless day I meditated and asking this question: if you had no worries about money, time and everything, what would you do? I cleaned my white board and write it and call it "second brain", whatever come to my mind, I will write and it keep changing and expanding. Last week I bring 2 CV to 2 schools which is very ridiculuous because I had worked for bank for 13 years, but back to the question what would I do if I had no worries about everything. so I did it anyway, I was surprised that when I talked to security to ask and he said oh principal just came, you talk to him. I greated him and talked and he asked my time to interview. I did, it was last Friday. It when smooth and he talked in English. I am in Indonesia btw, and talk in foreign language always hard here because people always mocking my high tone and unclear pronunciation. but I did anyway, and told him about my plan to Taiwan on November. Well I didn't know I will get laid off, but why I want to go to Taiwan because I invest to myself and award my hard work at the same time. People in my company always told me that I am too quiet, I am too shy and I don't know how to hang out. They don't know I just choose to speak to the what kind of people (at that time) but later I realized it was wrong. I did travel to unlocked the unknowing and to find what I really want and who AM I. Also already 7 days since I started to learn Chinese because I remember my mom always said why Chinese doesn't speak Chinese. so I want to make her proud. When the principal asked do you speak Chinese? I replied, "wo shuo de bu hao". He looked amaze and said you are above my expectation, I want you to be a teacher and prep for teacher coordinator. But anyway I am sure he has a lot of amazing candidates and at the end only management will decide. alot of factors involved. I agree with you about invest alot to ourselve. I invest alot and don't even think about anything else except to make my mom proud and happy. ❤Love your video and I'm writing your quote to my second brain. I hope you the best.

    Hello Edmund, I try to maximize my study and create portfolio but I found it is hard to switch, so whenever I was in study mode, I keep thinking the problem that not finish or stuck in my portfolio but also there is time I study which is German and English but it will make me hard to switch to working or something else. I can force it but last only 15 mins and remind me not really understand what I did. Actualy I am kinda lost and blame myself not smart. I hope to find something to implement from your video. Thank you Btw you will be a good father. So many wisdom from your life experience.

      It is brave of you to disclose how you feel frustrated along your journey. Accepting one’s own weakness is never easy. Recognising that you feel struggling is the first point to change:) Changing your focus from A to B requires enormous energy, so what you are going through can happen to anyone. Little by little, don’t blame yourself that you are not making a result right away. Your day 1 doesn’t need to be day 1000 of those successful out there. They all have gone through equally difficult times:) Never lower your dream, but increase your effort gradually 😊 I cheer for your dream. Let’s hope to comment each other on TH-cam when we achieve our dreams (Thanks for your compliment on me being a good daddy. Its also one of my key dreams!)

    I just came across your video as it appeared on my TH-cam feed. I didn't understand why it appeared but then i saw the Primrose hill and was surprised because it is part of my vision board as my dream to move to london. Lovely way to capture your daily vlogs as i understand it is quite uncomfortable to appear in front of camera. It is one of the reason i am so hesitant to have my own TH-cam channel. All the best on your TH-cam Journey. Cheers🎉

      Thanks. I see that you are learning French. It was quite funny because I am a french citizen wanting to move to London and learn to speak British English and here you are living in London and learning French. I wasn't born here so I can say it's quite hard to get the french pronunciation right, especially when you have a English accent. Good luck.

      I agree with your statement. Even though routines can help someone with anxiety and stress, they feel monotonous and controlled. The control/management helps our brain to process everything easier and better. However, you only live really if you heart/your emotions are touched by your life. Often, the heart and brain are too disconnected and it's very difficult to figure out how to really live. Exposing yourself to new experiences is a good way - it helps to grow and be confronted with other experiences in life. Also, therapy should be considered in order to better understand what causes the emotional stress and how to accept it and live with it. It takes time! (you can also use meditation techniques/self-acceptance breaks to loosen up a bit).

      @@mister_beee I like self-development/self-discipline/productivity too, but at the same time I feel like we're all increasingly being programmed to WORK/CONSUME/SLEEP/REPEAT and seek nothing more from life. When I was young, travel & adventure were a huge thing but I guess you can do it virtually now, and also most countries look and feel homogenous now compared with 20 years ago
