Thank you for this video. I've played since 2005 (on and off since gw2 release though). This brought back a LOT of memories I had forgotten about, and I learned a ton as well. I am always impressed with the guild wars (1 and 2) community and I'm so glad this is the game I fell in love with as a teen. As depressingly lonely as it is at times thinking about the old guilds I was in and friends. I sure wish Discord was a thing back then.

I'd like to add some: Amthur Arena: On Nightfall's map, near Ahdashim, there is this square-like shape on the map which many people theorized to be the treasure room of the Hidden City of Ahdashim, turns out it was Amthur Arena, a prototype arena that never made it to the final game (themed like Ahdashim) but was pulled out by accident in the Random Arena pool, therefore allowing access to the arena itself and exploration points Margonites being sterile: When you do the sidequest questline: The Oddbodies (favourite sidequests of the whole game), you'll see a friendly Margonite: "The Lost", when you talk to him, he has 2 lines of dialogue, saying that margonites don't have children and that slowly but surely, they are going extinct. That basically means that, according to the game, each margonite you kill brings them one step closer to extinction Hidden treasures: spread all over nightfall exploration areas are some treasures you can dig to get rewards, but some, like in Bahdok Cavern's are actually traps or Forum Highlands Koss is actually the son of a wealthy family and got disowned for joining the sunspears Mehluh Anchorage: It's believed to be that island you never get to see, located east of Chahbek and North of Mehtani Keys

Just finished watching this LP a few weeks ago and it was wonderful! I’ve started slowly watching the factions LP and excited for more of it. I played this long ago and finished the factions and nightfall campaigns but it never really clicked and i struggled. Planning a new start up “soon” so wanted to make sure to thank you for the LPs!

...level 6: back in the day i was scamming people by selling info on where crystalline swords drop, telling them the most remote location i could think of - mineral springs lyssa cave. Someone later made a photoshopped pic of a ice imp dropping one and posting it on some big gw page (cant remember the name) suddenly the granite citadel (nearest outpost to it) had double digit districts (when it usually had 1) and later on they added icy dragon swords as a drop in said cave Oh yeah and on that topic in front of thunderhead peak there was a chest that req no key which could drop purple crystalline swords as well as other rare skins and in the middle of the shiverpeaks there was another area with a keyless chest that could even drop golden crystalline swords. Also missing req 7 max dmg weapons in this list as well as +15% dmg at all times weapons.

I opened all the chests that the group leader opened for everyone, but by selling the stuff I got only 2G ? Why do people say they make 12-18G per RIBA?

GAILE! Ugh, the memories.

Best thing about GW was how unforgiving it was 😂 it was a game that requirement real strategy and knowing how to pull smaller mobs to you vs running in gun ho. Also there’s an achievement for reaching max level in just Pre!!! Hard to do but was so worth it for flexing 🎉

18:20 There was also a character model embedded in a bridge pillar somewhere in the Eye of the North Far Shiverpeaks. Can’t remember which map exactly and I think it was removed in an update, but ANet said it was a way of getting a sense of scale when designing a map.

type /kneel near the god statue the avatar of that god will spawn and grant you a boon. Thats the main reason of the statues

I remember selling a lot of runs through the mountains to drok's forge to afford the endgame armor for my characters. Just getting to that outpost to buy it was a pain with all those tengus

Pretty sure if the server has favour then you can kneel and receive a blessing from those random god statues

I usually play MMO's with music off so I can listen to stuff in the background...hearing GW1's music for the first time since it came out, and it's awesome. Makes me think I'm playing Morrowind.

After all this time you made me remember becoming a 55hp monk and grind the Underworld to death with this build more than 15 years ago. I was really good in it and made a lot of platin besides all the other rare materials I found. The fun thing is the only reason I actually started with a Monk as my second character was that my guild members told me that I should choose this class if I ALWAYS want to find a group to play with. (My first one was Warrior/Monk of course, haha) And so I took it as a challenge and later even mastered it in PVP.

It's cool how a few of these things FINALLY have answers now thanks to Guild Wars 2. For example, the Wizard's Tower is finally being used since the latest expansion starts with people wondering what happened to it.

I was looking for why we did this everyone just said to use bag opener and didn't mention the reason so i didn't bother trying it now that I understand I will make one bag opener

So after I watched the game stop commercial clip? I had to pause the video because I seriously could not stop laughing. Utterly priceless.
