We could actually employ a rigorous credible fear interview at the southern border that filters out economic migrants instead of letting them add to the court backlog of asylum cases that prevent timely adjudication of claims and processing of applications for work authorization. And when word gets out that economic migrants will no longer be allowed to abuse the asylum system, the number of people illegally entering the country will start to drop. Now THAT'S a win-win!
