How do I buy one?
Just finished my block. First time paper piecing and probably my last. Total nightmare. Did not enjoy the process and not happy with result. :( Definitely did not end up as a 10-1/2 inch block had to add borders.
I finished my block a couple nights ago. Luv it!
Woohoo!! I'm going to put a linkup on FB so we can all share our blocks.
How often should a mat be cleaned/soaked to keep it moisturized ?
Hi Missy! Gosh, there are so many variables. Depending on how often you use your mat, how often you cut blocks of similar size, the amount of sun that hits your mat, whether you live in a moist or dry climate, how often you run the heat in your house, etc. - all vary how often a mat needs to be moisturized. At minimum, I recommend cleaning your mat monthly by removing loose fibers and wiping it down. When it feels like fabrics are getting snagged on it, you can give it a proper moisturizing facial treatment :)
@@FaithandFabric thank you !
@@missybarrett2061 Anytime, Missy! Good luck, and I hope you continue to get many years out of your cutting mat!
When will your next video be out
Hi Joyce! I'm going to answer that two ways. First, there will be a new block released on the first of the month throughout 2025. You'll want to sign up on the newsletter (bit.ly/fafnewsletter) in order to make sure you receive info on each new block. Second, this is the only video for the Women of the Bible quilt along as each block is assembled in a similar way; all are foundation paper pieced. I'll be releasing new videos in the weeks to come, but they won't be related to this quilt along.
Oh I can’t wait to get started on these blocks unfortunately I have to wait tell the middle of the month, I’m so happy I found your channel
Joyce, no problem!! You can join in anytime. The block comes together SO quickly, so no stress at all :) Thanks for sewing with us!
Fabulous … I’m in ❤
Hi Carmel! What a beautiful name. I'm so glad you'll be sewing with us! So excited for this quilt. Here's to a wonderful year!
I just found your channel. I’m very interested in doing this quilt-a-long of the women of the Bible. But I have not been able to locate a place to order the patterns. Can you help please?
Hi Dee! Of course! The link is in the description, but here's a direct link for you to pick up the pattern: faithandfabricdesign.com/product/quilt-block-eve-genesis-2-4
What a great quilt along. Do you have a simpler free paper piecing block to begin with?
Hi Denise! As you can imagine, the time spent to come up with a design, create the design digitally, test it out with fabric, modify as needed, and publish is a LOT of work...that would be a bit much to do "for free", as this is my job and how I make a living. Thank you for supporting small businesses!
Looking forward to this quilt along. Done Jesse tree and Holy Week.
Jessica, I'm so glad you're joining in! It's going to be a lovely year exploring these women one by one and relating parts of their lives to our own <3 Looking forward to sewing with you!
@ my Bible study group just finished with a series of women in the Bible, this is a wonderful follow up.
@@jessicamalley6201 I love how God makes connections like this in our lives!
I'm literally so excited for this. I LOVE designing these picture-style like those in the Jesse Tree and Holy Week quilts! Can't wait to share the other blocks with you!!
😍😍😍My name is of the OT, I've always cherished that, this is AMAZING!
I love this!! So SO excited for this quilt along. Are you an Eve as well? We'll be mostly focusing on OT women so, if you're not an Eve, hopefully we'll sew your name, too!
@@FaithandFabricI'm a Rachel, and soon I'll be a Rachel enrolling in this project. 🍀 It's just too cute. I made your Holy Week table runner last year, it's outstanding and can't wait to break it out again this year.
@@thatwifeofhis7815 Rachel is such a beautiful name. It was second on our list of potential child names if we had a girl right behind Anna. Thank you for your kind words about the Holy Week runner; that made my day! We pull ours out, too, and it's truly meaningful to see - those momentary glimpses of it on the table bring me back to the Lenten season. So glad you'll be sewing this, too, with us, Rachel. Enjoy your new year!

Aww, Emma, thank you so much! I'm so glad this helped...and I hope your health journey is going well.
Your amazing! Thank you for taking your time to do this, This really helps me out on cleaning my Iron. I will be doing this today December 25, 2024 Thank you so much, Harry Irvine Los Angeles, CA 90717
Harry, great! I'm so glad it worked for you. I just re-cleaned mine the other day; it was so needed! Wishing you a wonderful 2025!
I’ve been trying to purchase this fabric for about 30 minutes on you website…. Always get an error. Please help!!!
Hi Ellen, of course! Please email me at: faithandfabric <at> yahoo <dot> com and we'll try to figure out what's happening. I'm seeing other orders come through, so perhaps there's something happening on your computer that's blocking the order? We will figure this out together :)
that was very funny video. thank you so much
Haha, thank you so much! It was fun to "bake" my quilt, and even more fun to film it. My son, who helped film, and I laughed through the entire thing!
I can imagine that pretty well. My son would had a blast, too. 😂😂😂 I wish you a very mehr christmas. Lots of greetings from Germany
Gorgeous quilts!
Thank you! I'm so inspired by the creativity of the Faith and Fabric community. Everyone did such a great job!
Maybe we could do one of your small paper pieced patterns. That way people can learn how to do that technique.😊
Oohhh...I like this idea! In fact, I have a block of the month starting in January that could be perfect for this. Thanks, Fran! Wishing you a wonderful Christmas season.
Love your videos!
Thank you so much! This video was a special one to make as it highlighted all the amazing talent in the Faith and Fabric community. They're all such great quilters!
It was so much fun to sew this with each of you! Should we do another quilt along again in 2025? Which quilt pattern would you like to sew?
Morning, love your work please how can download your pattern and like to try for Christmas gifts
Hi there! The link is in the video description, but I'll paste it here for you, too: faithandfabricdesign.com/product/pattern-christmas-tree-napkins
Yes, I keep fabric scissors specific for fabric.
Beth, yes! The worst is when fabric scissors get used to open packages and end up with that sticky gum on them. I've tried labeling my scissors as "fabric only", but that doesn't seem to keep them from getting used for other purposes :)
Hehe. We were still ‘organising’ as we started! A good chat about all the elements of preparing for the holidays and lots of patterns we have all developed over the years!
It was such a fun conversation - I loved hearing about all the different ways we approach the holidays and how we've evolved over time!
That was so much fun, I really enjoy chatting with you all. Bring on the holidays, Christmas decorations many or minimal. Sandra, I know...it's such a bummer. It's SUCH a great tool!!
Adorable! I’m making QAYG blocks with a good quality bed sheet. So it’s lovely champagne coloured blocks with a neutral thread. Your patterns will be beautiful on these blocks.
Lisa, yeah! I'm excited to see how it turns out. I have a white top sheet that I"m planning on using for a quilt back as well :) The bottom sheet became part of a Halloween costume so this is a great way to use the top!
Love this! I will try on my blocks.

So glad this video popped up, i headed over and grabbed 'Good Friday'. Even though I still haven't sewn 'Silent Night' yet. Our garden season is ending and I'll miss it when the snows begin to fly. Still a few more harvests and I hope our frost will hold off a few more weeks and then I'll get the garlic in the ground. That certainly was beautiful soil where you were working!
Molly, how awesome that you'll be able to continue harvesting for a few more weeks! We are literally in the MIDDLE of a major yard transformation (I'll have to share in the next update) but once the new garden beds go in I'll be planting garlic as well. Do you plant hard or softneck variety?
I have 4 kids, all of them homeschooling, and we are missionaries in south africa, is nothing better, and our mission like mothers and wife s. I love your videos!!!
Carolina how wonderful that you and your family are missionaries!! Yes, truly such a great vocation that we have been called for.
Poconos so beautiful all year, but especially so in Autumn. I love these Autumn colors. Had no difficulty finding enough shades of Fall to make a quilt with theis mountain pattern. Thanks for presenting.
Peg, yes, they are beautiful all year. Even in the early spring, when the snow is melting and there are these snow streams everywhere tricking down the rocks...so gorgeous. I look forward to seeing your blocks!
This is beautiful!!! Thank you for your hard work, tips, color play info AND very detailed sewing instructions. 🥰❤️😀
Rachel, I'm so glad you like it!! Your thoughtful comments mean so much <3 I look forward to seeing how your table runner turns out!
Very beautuful pattern - though, I must admit, I think you could sew it way more smarter and without wasting so much fabric
Interesting, Henrik - I actually didn't waste any fabric in making this pattern. In fact, I even showed you how *not* to waste fabric. Where, specifically, did you see fabric being wasted?
@@FaithandFabricI understood “using scraps” love your patterns.
