You did it on a flat surface. Can you repeat it on a mountain landscape? For example, one tree stands in a ravine, and the other on a mountain.

The only issue I have with your tutorial is that you keep saying "with L andscapes" when you're using a Static Mesh Actor as your floor and the reference for the RVT Volume. Right now specifically Unreal Landscape has issues with RVT and isnt rendering. :c
This for this workflow boss Gave me a good idea of how to light up forests and opened environments. I didn’t even think about spot lights focusing in certain areas. I’m thinking the sun was suppose to take care of everything

After working through the code, this effects you have achieved are amazing, but I want to point out that the Wind node can be skipped in this case. It is not doing any work behind the scenes. The wind node is meant to be used with an upcoming wind actor, at the moment it is simply normalizing and getting the length of a Vector 4 with values (0, 1, 0, 1). I found that normalizing the MPC_Wind direction vector itself, and using that for the rotation axis achieved more accurate results. Hopefully this makes sense! Thanks :)

Hi sir I'm working on a simple animation project in Unreal Engine 5.4. It's a 10-15 minute documentary-style video for TH-cam in 1080p, featuring Meta Humans and city life scenes. I'm sourcing assets from Sketchfab and will do color grading in DaVinci Resolve 19. Since I'm not creating games, I'm focused on keeping Unreal's size small and optimizing performance for smoother viewport and faster rendering. Could you make a video covering all possible ways to optimize Unreal Engine for animation projects like mine? It would be incredibly helpful to learn how to manage MetaHumans, streamline rendering, and keep the project lightweight. Thanks so much in Advance.

4:19 you have the base color from the RVT connected to the first subtract node. Then at 4:26 you changed it (off video) to the WorldHeight from that same node. This isn't much of a guide, dude. Your video is just full of random nodes popping up out of nowhere.

Do you know the performance impact of this? Could you maybe create two levels, one with all this enabled and one without and test the bottlenecks? I'm a bit concerned of implementing this as I've heard it tanks performance like nothing else.
Thanks to this detailed tutorial, I now know that I will do without this function. Even if I manage to do it once, by the next scene I'll have forgotten how to do it.
