I honestly don't think that's a problem. Sounds to me like a grandma just wants to spend time with her grandchild for a few hours. But if she is that worried she isn't being included, one she should ask herself instead of making her husband do it, and two say NO, if it's that important for her to spend Thanksgiving with her daughter. I understand it's her daughter's first Thanksgiving but her daughter most likely isn't going to remember it so it's really about Lily's first thanksgiving with her daughter and if she wants to spend Thanksgiving with her daughter, she should either say no, say yes but I have to come too, or say yes but make sure it's in the morning or afternoon and she gets her daughter back in the afternoon or evening.

Obsessing over your same gender best friend was definitely what happened to me and I'm sure everyone but me understood what was really going on. The only time I got called out on it was once their family went on vacation for about a week and I must have left more than a normal amount of messages on their answering machine that week. Lee is 100% right. I don't even date gym girls. I outright refuse. Gym people date gym people and yea there's thousands of online stories about personal trainers and other gym bros. The gym is essentially a singles pick up environment, you can work out at home. Gyms have been responsible for countless divorces man. It's not an antiquated view it's a completely modern view. And yes that's why it happened to Lee before in another relationship it's incredibly common.

My kid would only go to the kid friendly places and I didn’t take her on a plane until she understood to behave. When u opened ur legs to pop out ur lifelong dream of hitting that 2.5 kid number, it never occurred to u that u may have to not do adult things for a few years? It’s so so selfish. However, I would’ve asked my date if he minded if we could go elsewhere.

5’10”, 48yo, 127lbsF. My husband said from the beginning he will leave me if I don’t take care of myself. I’m a terrorist attack survivor & 7 years into our marriage I needed both brain and stomach surgery. The docs told me I had to again weight-30lbs- bc they need fat to help my scarring. 30lbs isn’t too much for my height but Covid hit. So surgeries were delayed. I had metal sticking out of my head and had to hold onto the weight which became 40lbs now. After 2.5 years, all my surgeries were done, they called and gave me to clear to workout again. Well, I asked my hubs why he didn’t leave then and he said- bc I know u. U were still gorgeous and I knew when I was over, u would do everything to get back to how u were. He was right. That day, I joined a 1 hour HIIT class and been running 5-7miles daily since. I think abt looking sexy in lingerie for my hubs or wearing that dress that hugs my body on lazy days. It motivates me to workout. Being middle age too, I hate when women say- “looks fade, or I had a baby.” There’s a major difference btwn getting older nd maintaining ur health vs allowing urself to get sloppy.
