2024 SCCA Sun Stroke Grand Prix Sunday Race @ Daytona
#117 ITS. I'm not the best at starting yet so I lose a few positions. I start making them back as I fall into a rhythm but then my throttle got stuck! Had to pull over and fix it before rejoining the race, but thankfully I was able to finish. P19 this time. The throttle pedal also broke off again when the throttle got stuck so I couldn't heel toe for the remainder of the race, poor transmission.

#117 ITS, 2nd race weekend for my novice permit. I qualified 10th overall and 5th in class. Had a really bad start after missing 2nd gear at turn 1. I think around 10 cars got by. This is a 2:23.960, my best time in qualifying. This session was the first time at the track with this car! Very fun! This was good enough for 10th overall and 5th in class. Apologies for the 4:3 aspect ratio, I didn't realize that's what the GoPro was set to.

It started pouring at the start of the 2nd session at Daytona with Track Night in America. I initially did put my window up since I saw the GT3 in front doing it but later put it down again, so my mistake there. Unfortunately the gopro died so I couldn't record the whole session. It was fun to practice with a wet track, I definitely need to practice more! This was on 6-20-2024.

This was my fastest lap of the weekend. #177 ITS - 1991 BMW 325is. My AiM Solo got me at 1:22.438, which was a PB for the car at the track! I think the car can get into the 1:20s with a good driver behind the wheel! Super fun car, and I've got a lot to learn. This was during Q2 on Sunday morning.

Yeah the tires didn't feel great, but even given the tires I didn't quite drive the car too well this weekend. Gonna work harder at the next event to have a better showing!

Thanks! Supersprint V1 Stepped Headers, Supersprint V1 Section 1, Status Gruppe Non Resonated X Pipe Section 2, Supersprint Race Muffler (Lightweight). I also welded in some high flow cats to be class legal.

I definitely want to do more races, and I'm sure I'll see you at some of them. P.S. my alternator did end up failing on the drive home, don't buy duralast alternators!

Anybody else get this in their recommendations? Lol, crazy TH-cam algorithm. I will say though, there's something about this guy. There's this look in his eye at the end, it's like-... It's like there's an epic comedy set on pooping just brewing behind those eyes. It's hard to explain. I feel like wherever this guy is today...
