In this video I use a fluorescent dye and black light purchased from Amazon to find an oil leak in a 2012 Kia Sorento. The leak turns out to be the oil pressure sensor switch. I'll show how to access and repair the oil pressure sensor switch in a separate TH-cam video. link to engine oil dye (this worked well) a.co/d/7mBKQld link to black light (I don't recommend this particular one) a.co/d/9w2...

I think I had that same problem on my Kia Sorento
So did I lol
Yes, it’s a common problem
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching.
Anti seize on the studs messes up torque readings.
I never considered that. What do you do? Just do them dry, or do you torque higher? I’ve never had an issue (yet) using antiseize and about 85-90 ft-lbs.
@@autodiy1 TTQ tested out what happens when you use anti seize on studs. It basically doubles the torque value, so you may be torquing them down to as high as 180 ft/lbs which could put excessive strain on the studs. I toque em dry even here in the salt belt. If you are rotating your tires every 5-6k you really shouldn't have any issues with them getting stuck. Here is the TTQ vid th-cam.com/video/-hSmtLVESSM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=i-pD0t9VPbnUSa0b&t=999
@soriano3361 Thanks for the tip. That is a huge difference. I think I’ll stop using antiseize on wheel studs.
Look you performing the job of a very high-class Engineer? What University did you complete?
U of Toronto. Go SKULE!
Hello, "Dave's AutoDIY" I saw your channel and saw that in your channel have some problems, not many. For these problems your channel is not growing. If you can solve these problems, Your channel will grow like a storm. Do you want to know these problem? If you Want to know, I can only tell to you. Can I tell here or email?
Thanks Sakib, but I think I’ll figure things out on my own.
These are all on point, I want almost everything you recommended, definitely sending this to some people 🤙
Fantastic. Hopefully something here shows up under your tree this year.
Nice hat
Great videos on the thunder . Keep up the fine work. (90 Mariner blue)
Thanks for the support. Hold on to that blue 1990. Don’t see too many of those anymore.
Very thorough guide. I did mine recently. I found it best to just replace the soft and hard line and directly connect the slave and master
Nice install dude! I was thinking of doing these instead of replacing the whole bushing
Thanks for the feedback. I’m working on the suspension bushings now, and it is a real pain in the neck. I’m glad I went the insert route for the diff.
Btw, your video came in handy for the suspension bushings job, so thanks!
You really need to completely purge the air out. Let the fan switch on a couple of times with the heater on Hot. Also use a spill proof funnel for this
Really helpful I want to install now
Go for it!
That wrench is such a good idea! Thanks!
Glad you like it!
Just installed mine and I can definitely hear more of a growl under load. I can’t really feel any more performance but it makes my 1.8L sound much better. In my opinion, this is the best air intake option on the market.
Congratulations. I agree. Such a simple design, but it works.
why woul dyou fil it up with gas? by the time spring rolls around your gas will be old. also with washing it whats the point? it sits in storage and gets dusty. I know, i keep 3 of my others cars in storage during winter
I put in fuel stabilizer to prevent the gas from getting old. A full tank has less air space, and therefore less condensation risk as it goes through temperature cycles all winter. Washing gets rid of bugs, leaves, oil, etc, but you are right that it gets dusty (unless covered), so needs another wash in the spring anyway.
You can overinflate your tires (stay under max pressure per sidewall) for storage, to help minimize flatspotting.
Very true. I had intended to mention that option, but when I finished editing I realized I left that out.
Sorry. Cutting holes in the firewall ain't ain't bolt on. But, I like it.
You’re right. But every hp helps.
Just installed mine. K&N air filter will give you more noise and better airflow.
I think you'll like it. I also have a K&N filter, and I agree it is a good match.
Getting a clean hole in that firewall isn't easy for anyone.
Glad to hear I’m not the only one!
great tips!
Thanks. Hope it helps.
great job bro!
yes
Appreciate it!
This is your best video yet! And thanks for the pro tip
No problem!
Well done! Probably could have replaced the blinker fluid while you had it all open…
amazing that is so helpful 😄
I love your content!
Thanks, this is really helpful!
Glad to hear it!
