This album started in the fall of 2023 after Krystal and the band spent their second autumn in the North Georgia mountains, mesmerized by the scenery. They recorded it in late 2023 and finished in early 2024. Some songs also contain quotes from the book Elizabethan Lyrics, edited by Norman Ault. This album starts with a revealed secret that Krystal figured out first after digging through some legal papers left by her father and mother in a mysterious box. Her father could not have children after serving in Afghanistan, so Emma's father volunteered to donate to the cause through a fertilization clinic. Krystal didn't tell Emma because she was scared to. Emma found her mother's diaries and knew, but she was afraid to tell Krystal. They finally told each other and wrote a song about it. So, Krystal and Emma are half-sisters. The album goes through a set of emotional songs about traveling and dealing with lingering emotional issues for each of them before focusing on the year's closing months and the mysteries each one brings.
