miles was not liked by many of the ford boys so the ending sucks point blank because the real winner did not come first.

Duct taping the rear bodywork in place . . . The yellow MkIV (Mark Donahue) lost it's rear bodywork. He managed to prop it onto the car and limp back to the pits where it was duct taped in place. As a precaution the bodywork on the Gurney/Foyt car also received the duct tape treatment.

That's another way at looking at it after all in Australia we have a very strict law about left hand drive card but any car that is right hand drive no problem that will include any vehicle from Japan South Africa and the UK and been right hand drive there would be no problem importing a Ford GT40 into Australia intact there are probably a couple in Australia

When making a movie on actual events there is a little bit of poetic lisense as the finsh of the 1966 LeMans race was in rain were in the finish in Ford verses Ferrari it is in sun shine and the two Ford GT40s in the film they were much closer and we must not forget the Ford GT40 is a british car because its right hand drive if it was a USA car it would have been left hand drive because in most states in Australia you can not import a left hand drive unless its a certian age but you can import any right habd drive car any age into Australia and we get plenty of grey imports from Japan in Australia

One point not made here is that had Ken Miles won LeMans that year, he would have been the only person to win the 12 Hours of Sebring, 24 hours of Daytona, and the 24 hours of LaMans in the same year. But I also wondered what happened to those laps ahead he was. I'm glad it was talked about here.

Ford was always to be a villan in this story. When they won they still wanted to humiliate a man who did it for them. And am talking about real life.

We all know Mr. Miles won that race. It's a shame what people's egos allow them to do to others. At least they didn't screw Mr. Miles out of the hall of fame.

My wife was the same. I am an ex racer and had spent years trying to explain to her what racing means and how important it is. She just couldn't get it. She did get it after watching that film.

At 12:11 Peter Miles says he's sorry his Father didn't win. He's wrong. The racing world all knew that Ken Miles won that race head and shoulders above the others but other circumstances came into play and through no fault of his own, it was taken away.

It's easy to get po'd at Corporate but without corporate there is no funding. To some extent corporate takes the "sport" out of any sport but without corporate the opportunities and rewards are just not there. Want to have fun? Stay an amatuer. Professional sports are going to have a "show"/"spectacle" aspect that those who participate have to "play the game" by the Corporate Rules.

Ferrari AF Corsa won the 2023 Lemans 58 years later with their 499P brand new hypercar. Lets see, if Ford can bring a hypercar to World Endurance Championship, and spice things up.
