GFRIEND never wanted this. In fact, quite the opposite is true. On multiple occasions the members have stated they wanted to stay together for a long time. I believe Sowon even stated they wanted to be their generation’s version of Shinhwa. GFRIEND was meant to be a lasting group. Then that chance was cruelly ripped away from them. There has been a glimmer of hope this year now that Source Music has lost its final appeal to acquire GFRIEND’s trademark. This will make it much easier for GFRIEND to reform. Sowon promised us we would meet again and I’m trusting her to make it happen when she and the rest of the members are ready. Our girls deserve the world and Buddy wants to give it to them!!

In a word, no. No, they didn’t want to disband and no, it wasn’t their choice. This was a heinous act of betrayal to GFRIEND. I blame HYBE primarily, but I’ve been increasingly thinking Source Music doesn’t have clean hands either. CEO So Sung-Jin has had 18 months to come clean about the shocking news and how poorly it was handled, but still not a peep from him. This is making me believe he actually had a hand in GFRIEND’s contract termination. If that’s true, it’s appalling this is how he would treat the group that single-handedly built his company from the ground up. GFRIEND was Source Music’s brand and were practically synonymous. That’s how intertwined they were. I believe the full truth will come out eventually and there will be a reckoning. Buddy will *not* forget this.

I come here in November to say that this disbandment is being difficult for them, YERIN is going into depression, she is crying a lot and forcing a smile. they need help!

I loved the life vocals! Compare that to the recent le sserafim performance that everyone praises even tho they couldn't sing life at all

i was one of the global evaluators for this round, and honestly the version that was aired is heavily edited 😬 the vocals in the live performance were honestly…pretty rough, like i’m not trying to be rude or anything but i’m just speaking honestly from what i remember, and it’s a shame that the edited version didn’t really improve it much either. they put on a really good performance otherwise tho! i loved the concept and their outfits and stuff a lot 🖤 (and in all fairness, speaking as an orbit, the butterfly live vocals were a bit rough in places too-there’s definitely some editing that happened there, too. but all of these performances are so high-energy choreo-wise so it’s really inevitable that vocals suffered a bit!)

This gave me more respect for them

But the main vocal struggled 🤡

I take this as a happy accident because the girls slayed! The live vocals added a lot to the experience

Even without their backtrack, they showed that they can be stable af while live. Still, fuck MNET for sabotaging our girls, because of their trashy editing; more and more people/stan’s are writing VIVIZ as untalented

I love all the people absolutely missing the point here like "well it sounds real so it's better" Like the backing track is just there to like,, hide the live vocals? Go to any live music venue right now y'all, it won't sound like this, because the sound guy will actually be trying to make sure things are in balance - and the live act will let him know if it sounds off. Youd still be able to hear their vocals if the instrumental was louder lmao, and it's just a bit ridiculous when the changed instrumental is like one of the main points of this performance. It means their vocals get no support whatsoever and it just winds up sounding awkward that way.

Honestly when the point of this performance was the re-arrangement of the track, having the instrumental dipped like this is absolutely ridiculous Like I was trying my damn hardest to listen and imagine it was its own original track yknow but that's hard when the sound is handled horribly It wasn't nearly this bad with other groups either, idk it just really rubs me the wrong way

Literally feel like Mnet has been trying to sabotage VIVIZ with this and Kepl1r (and VIVIZ again with Purr) with the camera work :/

No matter the place they've got, they really showed the world they really are queen material, they deserve so bad winning queendom as well as other groups and I know they've alredy won this reality no matter what the charts are saying

I feel like it was just more noticeable w viviz. But it seems like they did that for all the groups this time around Bc the vocals sounded a lot more raw for all of the groups
