Never have I seen a tool like this. I’ll have to look into one
Cheers !
Have one. Not sure how it works. Do you just use leg pressure or do you twist the prong upwards?
@cliffowens3629 just leg pressure. May have to play around with angle of push. Each stone is different
wel done
Where you from? We must live pretty close to one another
@aaronyarbrough2669 I live in Dothan
put more of these on Jim!
Absolutely beautiful and super frickin cool
You saw the 🐍?
@jasonfonoti2351 No, I didn't. If it doesn't look like an artifact, I'm blind to it!
Excellent
Do you ever come across alligator snapping turtles on the bottom?
Sometimes. It seems like the encounters with snakes, turtles, and gators are few and far between nowadays.
If you shot a deer looks like you eould have a long haul ahead of you
I bet there are alot of snakes too😮
so you were in Florida? or where?
Yeah, within sight of Alabama

Hey, My kids and I are headed to Florida in June for about a week down in Franklin county area. Any chance we could meet up for any type of fossil hunt? I’ve been on the Tom Bigbee in Alabama with another TH-camr pre-Covid. I’ve got a 12 year old eat up with looking for fossils. Just a thought, just message me if it’s something you wouldn’t mind doing.
What's your time frame?
June 9th -17th
Can you tell me what that first piece you put in your bag is? We found one just like it in Ponte Vedra Beach recently and have been trying to identify it.
Dujong bones and then a piece of turtle shell ( I think!)
@@jeffwhitfield4173 Thanks for the info!
Well there is no exact spots were you can find bones I personally find them everywhere. You can find them in places that people have a. Never been or b. Far back in the woods. Now I collect bones myself and that way you did it eh I tried it didn’t find nothin. I’m not naming any spots were I’ve had great luck.
Beautiful land

All of the upper river is nice. From the marriana caverns down to Altha. Peacock bridge to Altha is very pretty, even with all of the hurricane damage
Very cool
What part of the river is clear like this?
All of it- if we don't get a bunch of rain!
@@biddysere incredible!
Hi Jeff, any chance you're interested in company during one of your Alum Bluff expeditions? I recently started hobby fossil hunting with small group of biology graduate student colleagues at FSU and would love to check out this area with you if you were interested. Last weekend I attempted kayaking from the boat ramp @ NW Central Ave in Bristol, but it was way too far to paddle in the summer heat. I have a valid fossil collecting permit and a bunch of sifting gear, and my email is hmoigkaen@gmail.com
You should make a video and walk us through your collection
Weirdly, no.
Yeah, a lot of pottery. Don't find much since they quit dredging
Nice looking river, any artifacts?
Mike Holland N.W. Ga, do you find many points down this way?
can you let me know why they haven't built a walmart yet? And there's a man in blounstown Florida that lives down the road from that High SChool and he always outside sweeping the sand. I wanna know who that man is. I grew up on that road and never knew who he was and if he's alive still.
You need a big sifting scoop for that work...
Shoot me a text next time u go 2169067522

I'm not that techno savvy. Sub?
+Jeff Whitfield Oh that's okay.
+Jeff Whitfield Going to try to go to point a dam this sunday if it is not to cold and look around a bit.
that's about as big as they get here at this place. Have to go further south to get bigger. I also get amazed at how small I can find them. that's as much a competition as finding big ones.
Sweet finds Jeff! Have you though about using a larger mesh to go through the material faster and reveal the bigger teeth?
That's as big as they get! I like the challenge of the little ones
