You were very polite about the seats but most people would acknowledge the AirNZ business seats are very outdated and far behind the competition. Luckily they’re due to be renovated to a more modern standard, but still far from luxury, especially given the price point. To be fair about the faulty hardware, it’s hard for an airline to predict when this might happen after they have sold a seat. If it occurred on the flight just before yours and they can’t fix it then it’s fair they give you a choice including compensation. I agree you shouldn’t have to keep reminding them though to pay up 😂

@IncogNito-vz9tm totally agree! If you know you have a problem I shouldn't even need to ask for it, just compensate for what's missing.

For the US and JFK it is a perk, considering this is not SQ home airport. I recently flew FC on Lufthansa from Munich (on a connection flight), and they have provided us similar experience (except a private passport check).

@FlyingWithPoints My favorite Airlines are QATAR, EMIRATES, ETHIHAD and OMAN. World class service, Ambience and fine dinning.

@@manithangavalu7885Ethiopian? Oh god no.. I flew them BKK-ADD-EWR. The absolute worst business class flights in my life. An angled lie flat for 2 flights? The worst experience. The seat cushions were off, and the foam rubber coming out. Filthy seats, and food service the worst, actually served the food in the dark. Had to use the crappy map reading light to eat, which I took a bite, and spit out. Singapore to Ewr twice a year in business. My favorie flight!
