Wow! What a busy Saturday afternoon at Crewe | 8 June 2024
We arrived on Crewe station in plenty of time to catch Clun Castle and Mons Meg on railtours and couldn't believe how busy it was on a Saturday afternoon. There's something happening constantly and probably missed a few shots due to being at the wrong end of the wrong platform! Here's the very best of the action that we managed to catch.

Great to see an AL6 back under the wires at Crewe, hauling the 1Z62 Northern Belle back down to Coventry after a jaunt down the Settle and Carlisle line. 86401 Mons Meg took over from 34067 Tangmere at Preston. Ably assisted by 57315. #class86 #railtour #trainspotting

Not really a fan of Deltics they were withdrawn by the time I got interested in locomotives ... But I saw a few from my classroom overlooking the railway in Birmingham And I saw a couple on my trex I liked the humble little locos the class 20, 33 & 73 and the 26 & 27 up north I also saw a hymek doing the 33 run to Hereford Wasn't overwhelmed by that either although many were....
Stood on that bridge quite a few times in the long past..
My first time, but it won't be my last!
