    Sorry, but both are trash and a waste of money. Evidence: Metabo BS 18 LT BL or SB 18 LT BL (both also available in black SE special edition). Large modular self-supporting brushless motor (not like the competition, where the rotor bearing rests on the machine body), extremely massive-thick windings, very large cooling fan, complete metal gearbox housing (not visible from the outside), sintered planetary gears, which are all with needle bearings, grease in the gearbox with molybdenum-disulfide, head shaft with double ball bearings, high-quality metal chuck with lock, 75Nm, Made in Germany... in the SE version for just under €140 for the machine with the case here in the EU. ...absolute killer of everything in this price range. Of course, the LTX is even better, but this is a class for industry and craftsmen, and the LT is for home enthusiasts and craftsmen.

    This was hilariously stupid. Probably £50 to over £100 difference in price between the Makita and Bosch. Both lack any real power for the price bracket compared to dewalt or Milwaukee. Plus they both will come with bigger batteries for in around £150

    I've had my boiler serviced 2 months ago, he emptied waste, and said everything was good, it's only just over 2 years old, but b4 he came and when he left it's still doing the same thing, it's flashing on 3.1 which is a fault mood on ,glow worm, betacom4 30c, he said don't worry about it, the worst thing that can happen is it'll just leak outside, do u think the inside theremast needs changed?

    • @UniversalSkillsGroup
      @UniversalSkillsGroup 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Our best advice is to get a Gas Safe Engineer round, if it is the temperature which is flashing - it is probably a thermistor fault.

    An important note about connectors that isn't pointed out in this video, there's only 1 true MC4 connector, now made by Stäubli. All other "MC4" connectors are "compatible", but even that is an exaggeration. You should only use connectors (or cables) from the same manufacturer in your setup because every connector, essentially the mating pins, has different tolerances so you will create resistance with your wires and will also create a potential fire hazard. So for safety and better efficiency, don't mix connectors from different manufacturers. It's also a good idea to use a crimping tool designed for the manufacturer’s connectors.

    It is challenging, but def worth it - I hope! I've just finished Power week 1. It has been quite tough, a lot more work than I had anticipated, but the team at USG have been so supportive and helpful. I ran late with some of my coursework, and it was touch and go as to whether I'd be put forward for Gas exams, but with the support of my tutor (Tim Cowan) and others (including Faz, actually - thanks again John!) I just about made it through. Despite some struggles, I feel proud of myself, because this is totally outside my wheelhouse - I was previously a civil servant for most of my working life (I'm 43) and had virtually no experience of working with tools. If you're reading this and thinking of becoming a smart-meter engineer, I would encourage you to give it a go.

    I wish we had videos like this in Australia. Here in Australia are regulations are so strict that there is very little on line information on doing virtually any electrical work, for example replacing an existing power point is illegal. By the way in Australia we do not have ring circuits. I do not know if they are even legal here. I am puzzled about how these testers actually do the test. They must sample a few cycles of the sine wave drawing no current and then place known load that draws a known current for say one cycle 20msec then get the voltage change and the using the definition of resistance come up with a measure of impedance. No wonder these testers are expensive you would need some clever software to do this and sturdy hardware.

    iv had one fitted. unfortunately getting it to work is a nightmare. to the point where the fitter gave up and simply advised i contact their tech line. so i did but they simply gave me the wrong instructions. then after giving me the right ones, which are the same ones that came with the brand new charger. the instructions are not clear at all. the charger doesn't transmit a wifi or bluetooth signal. if you type in the gateway numbers it just says gateway to slow too respond.

    Clearly explained, good video mate. Just two points to mention 1) GS38 doesn’t relate to the test instrument it only requires that the test leads are of an adequate length and the there is no more than 4mm maximum ideally 2mm of exposed tips. (2) when you null the test leads you are not removing the resistance of the leads as such , the MFT takes a reading of the leads resistance and a deducts it from the test , . The test lead and any conductor will always have a resistance . But a good demonstration and video 👍
