The adventures of Janet the Jeep (and maybe a few older videos from before we got the Jeep).
A Day at Kipu Ranch Adventures
We recently flew to Kauai, Hawaii for a much needed vacation!
While we were there, we took an unforgettable journey through the lush landscapes of Kipu Ranch, Kauai. We took a guided 4×4 off-road UTV tour as and traversed 3,000 acres of private ranch land. From breathtaking views of Mt. Haupu to the tropical Huleia Valley, our adventure was packed with fun adventure, stunning scenery, and a touch of Hollywood magic with famous movie locations like Jurassic Park and Mighty Joe Young.
We navigated the dusty trails, kicking up clouds of red dirt that added to the rugged charm of the experience. Our friendly and knowledgeable guides made the trip even more enjoyable, sharing fascinating stories and ensuring everyone had a great time.
At the end of the tour, we cooled off with a refreshing swim at a hidden waterfall, a perfect way to wrap up an adventurous day!
This content is not a paid promotion. We paid for our adventure just like everybody else. It was well worth it!

Welcome back to our channel. Today, we’re taking you on a journey through the iconic Seven Mile Rim Trail in Moab, Utah. And guess what? Shanna, is behind the wheel! Just a short video of the drone at Boulder Creek near Mt Baker. We really didn't get any other usable footage on our trip and this is a bit over-exposed, but we thought we'd just put it out there. We're prepping for our Rubicon Trail trip next week. We'll bring you more Jeep related content soon! Thanks for sticking with us! Sincerely, Mike and Shanna Janet Granite Jeep
Stuck on the Edge of Cliffhanger
มุมมอง 5374 หลายเดือนก่อน
Well, it happened. We were the trail plugs during Easter Jeep Safari 2024. We signed up to run Cliffhanger, a trail rated at an 8 according to the Red Rock 4 Wheelers guide. Although technically our Jeep could run a 9 with them, we felt 8 was our limit. Turns out we were right. We had some struggles early on with the waterfall after crossing Kane Creek which some would consider the actual gate ...

hi what drone are you using?? pls help im new
Amazing video and drone footage. Is there any camping on the trail?
Thanks! Yes, there is dispersed camping. Some people stage along the trail before heading onto the Lockhart Basin trail.
Awesome video. Catacomb rocks is almost a destination on its own, a Must See!
Nice video! Ophir Pass scared the hell out of my wife. There was a lot of rock on the road that day and I think the feeling of all 4 wheels slipping alternatively and repetitively was what got to her (we were going the opposite direction). But I agree with you guys, not a difficult trail. Yep, "Quakies" are Aspens. They get that name because the slightest breeze moves the leaves and the whole tree seems to quake. You owe it to yourself to do the Last Dollar Road in late September or early October. The Fall colors are magnificent! Combine that with the magnificent view of the landscape and I think it's the closest thing to Paradise! Thanks for the video!
Good video! My first time Jeeping down there was this stretch. Since, I've done all of the trails in the area, except Black Bear Pass and Poughkeepsie, because the rental company won't allow those two. Rental, you ask? Yep, I have no desire to drive or trailer my old '91 YJ on a 10-hour drive from my home to Ouray. So I rent. Engineer pass was the roughest riding one of all of them. That was 10 years ago. Still like that? Thanks for the video!
Beautiful, I've had my jeep for 47 years seeing this part of moab is what it's all about . . .
Nice place. I own 10.77 acres tight there in poughkeepsie gulch. Directly across from the Lout mine just passed that forestry gate. Always a good time when I get up that way.
Very informative video. Thanks
Yeah, I don't want to take my Jeep nor my FJ there. lol
I was on this run with you, but you edited out all the 2 doors. :)
Our trail leader in front of us was in a 2-door
@@JanetGraniteJeep He rolled the next day in front of my buddy.
@doug6885 I remember that. That was crazy!
Anyone say why they took out the winch points? Great vid, thanks!
That's a great question! I honestly don't know. I'll ask on the Red Rock 4 Wheelers page and see if somebody knows. I suspect they got loose and nobody replaced them, but I'm not sure.
Don't forget that Ouray is pronounced YOU-ray
Thanks. Sorry I mispronounced it.
Also, Odom Point is not in Ouray. It’s an extension off the road near to Engineer Pass. But…still a great video. Thanks for posting!
You did really good showing this.
Thank you!
Really nice video! You gave a good representation of what to expect. We live 2 hours away and will experience The Dome in the fall. Too hot for our Lucy dog now. Thanks for your efforts! Two female Black Bear veterans (and husbands) coming over soon!
Nice🤌🏻
If you recall how long did it take you to do this loop ?
I think both trails combined took about a half day. Ophir is one of the shorter trails in the area, and Last Dollar Road isn't too challenging. I think it was about 2 1/2 hours on Ophir and 2 hours on Last Dollar Road. We headed to Silverton afterward and still had plenty of time to go to Animas Forks with plenty of daylight left. Hope that helps.
Nailed the best spots in 60 seconds! Awesome trail.
That route was closed off a while back. The BLM or some organization closed off a lot of trails in the Moab area. I believe that had to do with a lawsuit by an organization that wants to keep everything pristine.
This video was filmed prior to the closure. The BLM closed it after a lawsuit from SUWA (Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance). The BlueRibbon Coalition is trying to fight these closures and keep our trails open so we all can enjoy our public land. You can find out more at www.sharetrails.org/
Neat video!
What time of year does this go on I am in Clackamas looks like a lot of fun.
It'll be May 18th, 2024.
@@JanetGraniteJeep thank you so kind of you to respond. Safe jeepin.
Love your drone footage!
Engine looks like a flathead 6, maybe Chrysler?
Hi. I’m new to this. I have a capable vehicle, Bronco Raptor with 37s. We will be in Moab beginning of April and Dome Plateau is definitely on the list. What size are your tires and what do you air down to? Nice video. Hope to get some epic video of my own soon, Thank you!
Thanks! We are on 37s, and we usually air down to 12-14 psi. The Jeep behind us did it on 33s. You'll have no problem at all on this trail. Hope you have fun!
I'm heading out there in late April and this is on my list too. Watching for pre-trip research. I have a fully independent suspension Pathfinder on 33's and this is probably the least difficult trail that I will be doing while there. Looks like it'll be a breeze for you.
Bronco Off-Roadeo uses this trail for their runs. You see one of their Bronco's near the beginning of the trail in this video. Those Bronco's are all either SAS with 35's, or Badlands with 33's. Your Raptor should breeze through the trail with ease.
Really good video
Thank you!
Love this video!
Thank you!
We’ve been over this loop many many times in the last 4 years in our rubicon, but always nice to see it a different perspective, really enjoyed your video and especially the drone footage. I sent my drone up once around Odom point, I call that the “top of the world” 🙂 keep up the great videos. 👍🏼
Great video. Thanks for sharing. We hope to be back that way this fall.
Thank you! We definitely want to return. Hope you have a great trip!
Sad thing is humps and bumps as well as the skills area have been closed untill further notice due to lonngin sence i believe october.
Oh, that's a bummer. Same thing happened down here to Cedar Tree in Brown's Camp.
Those detachable mud flaps, where did you get em?
I ordered them at rokblokz.com/
Looks like you guys had a good time. Weather looked great. That tree has probably claimed a lot of fenders.
Do you think a lifted 2wd on 35s can make it up?
If it's dry, yes.
Greetings from AZ. This vid makes me miss the PNW. Great vid and keep up em coming.
Thanks! Hope all is well with you! We still want to come visit sometime!
i would like that@@JanetGraniteJeep
Snacks! Spicy bushes! 😂😂😂
Great video. Well done. Love how you showed where you are, and where you are heading , helps give the lay of the land. Super!
Thank you!
I have traveled this loop, and it is amazing and one of my favorite places in the country. I love that you included history and not just the pictures. Great job.
Thank you so much!
I KNOW THIS GATE! my moms gladiator had to come out backwards because of the longer wheelbase. Love walker valley!
That was an interesting journey and in the dark! WOW. Thanks for sharing.😀👍
That long wheelbase is killing your panels! I usually just cut that lock
Been there many times. Just 10 miles from the house 😊
Walker is way better than on two than four..
2:40 missed opportunity for another dad joke from the passenger seat “Not sure if it was an out and back or…” “No we’re goin Ophir!”
Love that! 😂😂😂
Informative with excellent graphics showing the routes, but not forgetting to include a little fun and good ribbing ! As a longtime CO resident there are still soo many places to explore here. Its history and all the little untold stories are always intriguing. Thanks guys for keeping the videos real ! See you 'out there' someday
Thank you! We really appreciate it!
Love your video!
Hey, we recognize you guys! 😆 🤣 😂
Great video and great views. And a good history lesson along the way. Keep up the cool videos. And keep a eye out for Sasquatch!!
Thank you! We will!
Мошинани зурийу❤🎉😊
Editing and awesomene viewz!!! You guys deserve 100k views!! Thanks!!
Great video
We use to take our horses all along Washington's Long Beach. We loved it an horses loved it! Enjoy, but are horses allowed now?
Yes, they are still allowed. We saw several riders at the south end of the beach! It was a pretty sight!
wow..can't wait to do something like this with my Bronco sport.....
I can’t believe it’s been a year!!
