10 Truck Engines That Last FOREVER ! The Last One Will Blow Your Mind! 🚛💥 You Won't Believe It !
Good ol' 5.4l sent spark plugs into the atmosphere.
Car manufacturers now see profits and plan failure into there engines.Theres nothing to do with building a product that’s reliable and efficient.Theres nothing to do profit in quality or reliability. The day of manufacturing a product to last more then 5 years is over.Expect 100,000 dollars trucks and cars to last only 5 years if you lucky in future.
Ale-lum-me-umm heads🤣
My 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 engine is pushing 340000 miles and still running strong. I change the oil every 4000 miles. It is definitely the best vehicle I ever owned. Completely dependable.
that 5.4 take was trash. love that motor and people do too
All these manufacturers ought to replace the motors at full cost. Not the consumers.
They really try to leave the VW out with 1.8 and 2.0 engines by putting engines for 3 different companies 🤣😂🤣 can stop hating on the VW
Also the Toyota diesel wasn't stateside BTW.
Wrong 7.3 Ford that would be the 7.3 idi that is known for reliability your welcome again. 14:54
One thing he got right, all are cast iron engines with no electronics! With that said I believe his opinion is biased because there are other engines out there like the 351 Ford.
God I hate AI narration. Butchering iconic names like the three hundred fifty V8. It’s a freakin three-fifty. Throw in engines that are clearly labeled as being something different.
Ya I’m convinced this is the dumbest video I’ve ever seen the 6.0 is fine had mine for 350k miles never had a problem 😊😂
My 2004 gmc came with a 4.8 gen 3, it was a dog, I dropped a 364/450 Chevy performance gen 3 and now it’s a race horse!
Is just bad FORD engineers that is lazy and cuting corners is the problem. Like all other companies. Quick and cheap to sell junk, so they can keep millions of dollors dollars in their pockets, while screwing us hard working people
Ford's 2.3l i4 in my 97 ranger has 230 k on it and after replacing the rear crank seal when I replaced the clutch at 190k it now doesn't use a drop of oil. Runs like a sewing machine. I've had three of these engines go over 190 k on other vehicles. The biggest pain is changing the timing belt every 10 to 15 years
My 4.0 burned oil bad.
A limo driver in NYC who was driving an 92 Lincoln Town Car told me that he had about 800,000 miles on it and never had the head off. I think the 4.6 V8 is a pretty solid engine.
Not a fan of these Ai videos that mispronounce things
This video is an absolute joke the 5.4 2 valve engine was great the 3 valve trash. The 6.0 power stroke actually compared to the 6.4 psd is god tier. The 6.0 could be fixed for a couple grand the 6.4 you had to take a second mortgage out. But again video is a joke. Got to be
WTF The 99-06 4.8,5.3 GM
I've owned all rhe gas engines on this list save one. In my book, the 300 i6 is the best.
Okay I'm not going to argue with the lifter problem on GM 5.3 isn't an issue, but it definitely doesn't deserve the third place. Those Motors are very well-built and easy to work on. Besides a lifter problem
The Iron Duke. Used in postal applications and Jeeps. These things ran forever.
The truck is have now so dar has the most problems so far it's a 01 ford 4.6l v6
My 2002 jeep wrangler 4.0 engine is pushing 300000 miles and still running strong. I change the oil every 4000 miles. Best vehicle I ever owned. Very dependable.
I have a 2003 Chevy 4x4 6.6 Duramax LB7 Over 250,000 Miles. Did replace the transfer case.
Ahh yes, GM’s 3.0 duramax turbo diesel found in the 1500 and Tahoe. We had one in a gmc sierra 1500. Nothing but problems from the get go. At 1800 miles, it needed a complete bottom end rebuild for an oil leak from what I presume to be overboost. After the rebuild, it didn’t leak oil. It burnt it instead! Having a 0w20 engine oil for a diesel just didn’t seem right. It burnt through a quart of oil every 1,000 miles and even if we increased the oil viscosity, it still burnt it. When we were towing, 200 miles is all it took to eat through all of the DEF in the tank To add on, this engine has a horrible oil pump design. It’s on the back side of the motor by the flywheel, and it’s powered by a wet belt! They have to be replaced every 150,000 miles and many owners say while you are in there, you might as well replace the transmission as well. I mean, if it even makes it to 150,000 miles… After 38,000 miles of very minor use, the truck threw DPF/emissions codes and was told it would be $8,000 to fix. Just 2,000 mile out of warranty too. We traded it in for a new ram 2500 Cummins. At least that’s a lot better of a truck Mark my words, DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE TRUCKS! It will be a headache. This isn’t the first time that GM tried an experimental diesel and have it fail. Let’s not forgot the Oldsmobile diesel v8 now. Stick to the 6.6 duramax or don’t buy a GM product
The 2.7 is nearly bullet proof these days.
Does anyone have an opinion on the Atlas in line six?
I had a 4.7 V8 in a 03 Dodge Dakota single cab short bed 4x4 with some mods back in the day and ran the absolute dog piss out of it. Never had any issues that you speak of in this video. Put 200k on the clock and still was running good when I sold it. Basic maintenance and stayed on top of oil changes.
225 slant six😮😮😮😮!!!!!
Most recent for me is the 6.0 LS2 in my second GM2500 HD 4X4. Iron block, aluminum heads and the LS upgrades enabled my first one to go 500k miles. The second owner still reports its running strong @575k and no issues. Change the oil @4000 light or 3000 heavy duty w/ Mobile_1 and HQ filter, change the oil, change the oil!! Much cheaper than changing trucks!! Peace -gary
LQ4 great engine.
My 01 gmc with the 8.1 has 326,000 and still going strong. Burned a quart of oil every 3000 since it was new, a common thing I understand.
Agree with #1 6.7 Cummins i use to be a Ford guy but I have owned now 2 one Dodge with 5.9 cummins went 1.5 million hauling Rvs for Living now have a 12 6.7 Ram has 747,878mi on it best trucks I've ever owned tranny in my 12 is original also.
Why don’t they still make these great engines????
Because they last. If they last and give good service you have no need to buy another vehicle. So they make crap now so you'll be sure to have to buy another.
I agree with this Video completely especially 6.0 and 6.4 diesel .
Ford 300 cid six and 22r Toyota engines both amazing engines!
Ford f150 twin turbo 6 L
Did you ask Eric from I Do Cars for permission to use his videos in your video? Content theft is bad
5.4l 2v and v10 3v engines were best from 2000s, now 3v had their issues, they were not 300k mile trucks, the 3v 5.4l v8 did improve in 2008 with one piece design spark plugs, I never had a problem with my 08 super duty with the 5.4l 3v works fine, never had spark plug issue i replaced my spark plugs every 100k miles
The 5.4L 3V engine did experience some issues, but those were mainly addressed with the 2008 updates.
Cummins
Key problem is engineers design stuff and they are not the owners or mechanic s that have to fix them, also when companies know of problems they keep selling the same crap. What they had that was great they replace with crap rather than updating what was proven. As a truck owners we would rather sacrifice a little fuel mileage and high tech for reliability. This is for us who use our trucks as trucks not grocery getters or to show our Macho side driving our kids to school. We want old school type trucks to make money not spend it on repairs. I drive a 2011 Ram 1500 Tradesman with almost 200,000 miles and it no frills work truck. That is what they need to build not cushy gadget truck like they build now. Old school like the F150 of the days with the 300 I 6 that ran forever or the 350 Chevy. Now they add fancy names on crap engines.
I have an 06 trailblazer with the 4200 in it. 346000 miles on it and the only te i have to open the hood between oil changes is when the dang battery goes dead
That's amazing mileage - it sounds like you've got a real workhorse!
That's amazing mileage - it sounds like you've got a real workhorse!
I have a Avalanche and iv put 2 motors in it, the 5.3 is junk.
I thought for sure the 4.3 Chevy motor would be one of them
359,000 miles on my 4.3
I think it's funny that they had to put the GMC separate from the Chevrolet twin just to make GM feel good.
The 22R is a very good motor but, I actually have to say, the Ford 351W is up there with me. I have a 95 F-150 that just rolled 403,000 miles....not kidding, no overhaul, just frequent oil changes and tune ups. I seriously am surprised how long this engine has kept going and it still uses no oil and runs fine.
The 351W is a legendary engine, and it's no surprise it's still going strong after 403,000 miles.
2 things 1. Where did this idiot learn to say aluminum ? 2. Where's the mark 4 chevy big block ? Its waaay better an engine than the damn small block ever thought of being
On Triton just change the oil every 3000 miles I still have a 2009 Triton no issues.
I have a fleet of vehicles and Ford Tritons have all made 400 k miles with no issues all are 2007 and newer.
