    Can I also use these in my room as well such as under my bed or in my drawers? Where in my room would you actually say I should put these and how many in addition to using in my closet? Also, I' m not going to see these parasitic wasps flying around everywhere and disturbing me cause its sort of creepy! Lastly, do these parasitic wasps die out on their own after all the moths and larvae are eliminated? Thanks, I just subbed!

    If the ladybugs aren’t properly reared or lab made I wouldn’t suggest this, it can be devastating to the environment. Our native ladybugs are dying and the invasive Asian ladybugs are causing a lot of damage. They’re also not that great for population control anyways because they try to wait for the population of aphids to grow enough to support their larvae.

    • @roche320
      @roche320 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No...just no. You can buy native ladybugs specific to your country. There's no need to buy Asian ladybugs if you live in another country. Who said these are Asian ladybugs? In fact, if you look at the packaging you'll see these are convergent ladybugs, which are native to the US. If you release them they will eat the pests that are available. If there aren't any they will disperse to find some, or die off. They won't cause harm to the environment. With biological control you have to generally do multiple small releases rather than one large release.

    • @roche320
      @roche320 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Consider lacewing larvae or parasitic wasps. Look up "biological control" plus your country to find a company that supplies predator insects. They should have a list of available insects for each common pest.

    Great videos! For someone like me with no idea what I’m doing, these videos really help. If I may make a recommendation video; I recently found Green lacewing corpses around my indoor garden. I feel like that may be a good sign that they have enough food to develop. What I don’t know is… I have found what I think are eggs. They look like a tiny hair with an egg at the tip. Can you talk about the aftermath of releasing these insects into your garden? What to notice as far as lifecycle indoors what bugs are likely to fly away or what bugs are likely to keep the cycle going and lay eggs. I think knowing this will help identify what are good bugs and what are bad bugs or signs of when in a lifecycle is it ideal to buy more good bugs.

      @@naturesgoodguys3353 Leaving in search of food is not an option. I’m using a grow tent in my apartment. The grow tent is approximately 10.5 square ft. and 70 cubic ft. The grow tent has sage, basil, dill, thyme and oregano. The sage has been infected with white flies. I had ordered “150 Live Ladybugs / With Nectar” from your company. They should be arriving 9/25/24. I have no idea if I have light, moderate or heavy infestation. There is no way I can count these tiny critters. Assuming I have a moderate infestation I should “release 1 ladybug per square foot, bi-weekly, 2-3 times”. According to my calculations about 10 ladybugs should be released every 2 or 3 days. That would be 20 to 30 ladybugs a week. If I keep releasing 20 to 30 ladybugs every week sooner or later my grow tent would be overrun by lady bugs. I am currently using homemade sticky traps made from yellow construction paper and honey. I’m having low success with that. The sticky traps will be removed before the ladybugs are released into the grow tent. I’ll take a look at your “supplement diet” on your website.

    So these eggs hatch into a larvae, but what do they eat? I get that if they survive they develop into a very small wasp that flies around to find moth eggs and then parasitizes them with their own eggs, which then hatch and eat the moth eggs, but since you sell the eggs on cards how do the larvae find the moth eggs? Also, how do you get rid of the wasps after they have eaten all the moth eggs?

      I ordered some and apparently they die once they can't find anymore moth eggs. Takes abt a good month but just in the last week I've seen ZERO moths flying around whereas 2 weeks ago I'd see abt 2/3 per day. I'm so thankful I found these. I wanted to upload a video abt them to share and I saw your comment. Hope this helps.
