I feel sorry about people who really cannot find anyone and have gone through a horrifying thing like this but there are so many women that say like that after have refused me. I'm so tired of women who only want attention and want to care about themselves. If women really have gone through this, then why have I never met one that need a good msn like me. Sorry but I have stopped believing in western women and their stories.

We did a similar exercise with a spool of yarn in my support group, instead of going around person we would pass the yarn around and at the end of the exercice we were all entangled in a sort of spider web, it was a powerful representation of what it feels like xx I really like this series, thank you to all 5 of you.

Mine was emotionally abusive (and used physical intimidation, but I was never physically assaulted), and it felt even harder to acknowledge that I was a victim. Although I was well aware that the verbal abuse was not okay, but yeah, I was in denial over a lot of things. Being very independent, and I never thought in a million years that he was controlling, until I had therapy and understood his impact on all my decisions and behaviours for all these years. I've had 2 different agencies make a safeguarding report to the police, but I never personally contacted them (although I was advised to report his harrassment I just couldn't) Anyways, I wanted to say that although our experiences are not the same, there are parallels that I can see and definitely relate to your experience. Especially the part at @12:10 where you talk about the image they paint of us to other people. That's been really hard coming to terms with this. Thank you for your channel, I'm so glad you're doing well, you're a positive inspiration for us xx

I absolutely love listening to your channel and feel it is such an important topic to be discussed. I have not been in any domestic abusive relationships, but work with people who have, and I feel that this really supports my practice and empathy. One suggestion, the captions are sometimes incorrect (such as this video had puppet traitor instead of perpetrator). I just wanted to highlight it in case people are watching your videos who are deaf and want to understand the full context of what you are highlight, as it is so important! Keep going with the content. You are an incredibly strong woman, and so are the survivors you interview and talk about!! Firstly I am so sorry to hear what you have been through. NOBODY should ever be treated like that! I suffered horrific physical and mental abuse from my ex partner. I am free if him now though. Watching yoir video sndt listening to your letter has inspired me to write my own. I don't think it will be something i would be able to read out loud. Im not sure if i will even let my ex partner read it. I just think it might help me start to rebuild myself bit by bit. It may help me to understand that what he did to me was very wrong. I'd never make excuses for what he did, but I don't think I realise how serious my injuries were and how very lucky I am to still be here. You are amazing and thank you for sharing this ❤ xxx

I really want you to tell my story because I don’t fit the usual profile of vulnerable women who has issues from her family/upbringing and I want other women like me too see that it can happen to anyone and not to feel ashamed. I was made to feel like there was something wrong with me as no one could understand how I let this person abuse me because I came from a perfect middle class mum & dad both together family unit. I hate that it’s assumed that you can only be vulnerable and can only end up suffering from domestic violence if you’ve had a troubled past. It makes me feel like I’m weird.

I have only watched 5 mins of this and I already can relate. I’m assuming she is dealing with cptsd, has intrusive thoughts, anxiety disorder, etc. tons of therapy that will have to continue for life. I’m watching the rest now.
