That up there as my banner is a 12 x 20 oil painting and was a Marlboro ad. Been doing so many different things lately. I started cutting some of the rocks up we've been collecting for years and me literally for decades but yea I started making pendants out of them. Cutting slabs, then starting to polish them was something I've never done but the videos we were watching on here led down a path of not only the cutting and polishing but wire wrapping and turning them into pieces of art. I plan on doing some carving already. All new but I'm not forgetting some of the other stuff I do. Earlier I pulled out my copper to get ready and make some videos on how to make copper roses, cactus flowers, and sunflowers to start. I have the paintings ready to go for when it's nice out

THE TREE OF LIFE RE-DONE AND IT LOOKS GREAT PLUS IT'S STURDY USING 20G INSTEAD OF 24G
มุมมอง 145หลายเดือนก่อน
If you want to see how I made the cage and bale you'll have to watch the original video I just post recently. I'll never use 24 gauge wire for the tree ever again. It's too flimsy for a solid structure and the appearance isn't as good as the 20 gauge wire. It just stands out more. This video abruptly ends, sorry about that. Hope the information came across well. Re purpose the cage if you don't...

It's been around a month since I got these started and I think they turned out great. I still need to burnish them and I'll be doing that after this video. I'm going to be wrapping the tree of life on one of the stones in the batch so stay tuned for future videos. Hope you enjoyed it.
FINAL POLISH AND THEY LOOK GREAT PART 1 @craftartcollectibles7448
มุมมอง 161หลายเดือนก่อน
They've been tumbling for about a month now. I had 3 barrels in rotation on one dual tumbler. I opened up 1 barrel yesterday because it was finished and posted a short on @outdorrfun9948 . They looked great so here we are. I'm washing out the other barrels in this video showing some of the stones and they look great also. I'll be posting another video of them up close under the light. Coming soon.

Does the wire you use tarnish? If not, what type of wire do you use? I have trouble finding good wire.
@@auroram9810 They definitely get dirty. I actually just started doing these more intricate types of raps using this wire. So it hasn't been on there long enough to tarnish, but I'm sure it does. That piece definitely needs a cleaning. I wore it for a while. I just got done wrapping the bottom of that piece and we'll probably do a short.
How cool is that?

@@craftartcollectibles7448 Pretty good. I got sick again but I'm better now. At least no body else got it this time.
@@Rockin_in_Kentucky that same thing happened to me and the girls they were over with it in days and mine lingered for more than a week probably. Well it's good to hear that you're better. Me and Jesse went freaking 2 weeks ago and I uploaded a couple shorts from the video then my phone started acting goofy and I bought a new phone. I thought I lost all that video but when I get back on my old phone it was there so I'm actually wrapping that up right now. I got a few videos coming. You all have a good night.

Those are so cool! I have some native American heritage so I definitely appreciate the beauty of them.
@@Rockin_in_Kentucky thank you I appreciate it. Really easy to make just got to have some beads some cord and some weather. What tribe, or multiple? I was told one of our Greats was a Blackfoot but I've never seen the proof. You have a good day man.

They look great! The black one woth the stripes turned out amazing! I think I may be able to do some work on those others that didn't quite polish fully.
@@Rockin_in_Kentucky yeah I think hand polishing will do the trick on those bigger stones. That one flat dark green looking Stone I thought was going to polish up real good but it didn't and I think these are the disc or hand polishing would do the trick. I'll be sending them out in the morning so I will text you the tracking info. You have a good night man.
I agree with you. The forth step didn't fully polish them. I'll tell you though I'm loving that black rock with the white stripes, it looks like lightning running through it. WOW!
@@Rockin_in_Kentucky I like picking those rocks up when I see them the black ones with the stripes. It should polish up really good. Monday we should see some really shiny Rocks come out. I'll get ahold of you tomorrow and tell you what's been going on around here. Straight out of a Hollywood movie. You have a good night man I'll catch up with you tomorrow
That's so cool! They don't that hard at all to make. I might have to try to make myself one.
@@Rockin_in_Kentucky so simple. I'll do another video once I get them finished along with some beads. I got to get some different cord that stuff's too thick. I'm at the dentist now but when I get back to the house I'll be pulling those barrels do that video should be coming up today sometime. You have a good day man.
@@craftartcollectibles7448 thank you you too!
Thank you! I bought some of these from TEMU and they come in different sizes.. yours is gorgeous.

Yeah they look so good! I'm super excited to see them finished.
@@Rockin_in_Kentucky yeah tomorrow I'll pull them out and clean them and send them back through with the aluminum oxide till next Monday and they should be super shiny. Hopefully they'll be shiny after this so-called polish stage but I have my doubts. I'm doing a video right now on how to make those Crystal baskets with some old construction twine. Turns out they're pretty easy to make. Thanks for watching the video and I'll catch up with you later you have a great day.
@@craftartcollectibles7448 You too buddy. I am curious how to make those little baskets.
Thank for this video. Im just going to buy a tumbler and run it in my basement, hopefully it won't be to loud down there lol. I like how you explained the process, very informative. I love your drill setup, Im definitely going to borrow that idea. The moons are awesome especially that Cresent moon. Its going to be so cool!
@@Rockin_in_Kentucky heck yeah I'm glad you're taking advantage of it. It only takes a couple of hours to polish out something if it's not too chunky you know what I'm saying. The sound isn't bad as long as you have them in the basement. I actually have them out in my garage right now. It's definitely a fun hobby
pretty stones!

That's an awesome little display cabinet.
@@Rockin_in_Kentucky thank you I appreciate it
Those tumblers look like they were designed by someone who had no clue what they were doing. Like someone who had an idea and just slapped additional parts on to fix any problems. Also that nob on the lid of the barrel just resting on the paint just looks bad. Its amazing some company somehow managed to poorly design a rotary tumbler - one of the simplest machines in existence.
@@ryelor123 I want to make a box with multiple shelves on a belt system with the ability shut down each Shelf separately. I originally bought the National Geographic and ended up taking get back and went the next block over to Harbor Freight and picked up one of those. I worked with that for a year and then bought a second one. I'd never had a problem until recently when I noticed it was squealing. I finally pulled it apart and figured out those plastic brackets were deformed. I think about a month ago I posted a video after the final polish of all four tumblers. I can't complain if I was to sell a handful of those pieces as jewelry it would pay for the two machines and all the grit that I ever bought. Well thanks for checking out the video and the comment. Stay tuned I'm getting ready to pop these things open again tomorrow and then send a bunch of stuff onto the second stage. I'll be wrapping some stones I just got done polishing with some discs if you're interested in that you have a good one
Pretty genius fix for a near catastrophic failure.
Thanks appreciate it, I'm tempted to put a fire alarm right on top of it
Yes it's fine that you said my name, no worries. They're looking great, I'm getting excited to see them all finished.
@@Rockin_in_Kentucky when I pull them on Sunday I'll take a separate video for your rocks and give you a better view that way you can tell me which ones you want me to move along or continue with first stage.
Those are gorgeous! Wow so cool!
@@Rockin_in_Kentucky thank you. Check out a site called black_bear_haversack.com. I bought those arrowheads from India for three bucks a piece directly from the owner of the site at his house. He's got all kinds of Trading Post Goods. I ended up learning to Knapp the arrowheads from youtub videos but not as good as those.
That's awesome! I bet you could make some crazy Halloween decorations like that. How cool would a Dracula or a zombie face lit up like that.
Thanks man I appreciate it. So originally I got into doing pumpkin carvings and you can actually go back into my shorts and see when I free-handed this past Halloween it's badass but yeah I want a couple contests by doing Einstein one year in Bob Marley another but then once I started painting I took it to a whole new level. The first one I did was Jimi Hendrix in a box like that and the lights would flicker to the music that you were playing if you had it on that setting it had a bunch of settings and was in a box I'll post a video of it. I've painted Bob Marley Jimi Hendrix Johnny Cash Janis Joplin Jim Morrison Einstein to include a few others. LOL I've never thought about doing vampires. One year I did that crazy cat smoking a doobie. Yeah I was going through my old Google files and came across this to include a few others I threw on here. Did you get a chance to see those knives I made I still have all those except for the one with the pummel Stone. I'm going to send you a picture of that agate.
Sweet video gotta love a good parade! Those antique fire trucks are awesome!
@@Rockin_in_Kentucky yeah I didn't even know it was going to be a fair. I just thought it was a rehearsal of some kind. We're actually fishing right now at Horseshoe Lake in Granite City Illinois I do think. We can see the St Louis Arch and City in the background it's in one of the shorts that I put up on outdoor fun. My daughter just caught a catfish. I'll send you a picture of that Agate later. Dang we're getting bites left and right
Sorry about the one that you think won't tumble. The big round one is very green when it's wet. I did grind a little on one side of it but didn't get far with my power drill and the little piece with the shell in it also has ton of tiny crinoid stems inside it. I have a piece of it that I ground down and polished that looks pretty cool.
Hey sorry I just saw this yesterday. I actually got the wet saw out yesterday and cut up one stone I had big eyes to do more but after the one my arms were gone or I should say my shoulders wait till you see this piece I cut up yesterday I'll do a short. I'm going to be getting the grinding pads set up out probably at the beginning of the week and work on a few projects to include that one stone and I'll send you some pictures of it after I do. I'd like you to send me a picture of that piece that you polished up with the crinoid system in it. I'm curious to see what it looks like I have a bunch of rock I know have fossils in it and they need to be uncovered but I've never done anything like that before I'm interested though. I got some muriatic acid and would like to use that on some of the stone that I got but I'm not sure how it works and what rock it dissolves. Well hope you're having a good day man
Awesome, I'm glad you can fix it, I trust your skills. This is exciting for me. The little death plate on the right at the right should polish up nice. I've done one piece of it by hand.
Hey whats going on? Hope all is well your way. Here's another comment I missed. I'm sorry. Comments usually pop up but some of them don't I guess. Thanks for watching to include the comment. Hope you all are doing great.
