I have 4 tikkas. All shoot very accurately. Took 4 deer with 4 shots from 200-450 yards with my 6.5PRC. The rifle is light, action is smooth and trigger is very nice. Best gun for the money.

One final thought about me encounter with the two individuals at first light. It was 11 degrees, and sun up at 7am. Elevation gain about 1000 feet from the parking area. The last day of firearms season the woods are full of hunters you two are dressed like whitetail deer, tan clothing and white gloves. They are running around jumping up on piles of cut timber ?????? Tweakers both probably out of their mind. Luckily they did not open fire on me , was going through my mind. I was thinking they were looking for an area to do some cooking ? What do you think .....

Wow that’s is horrible I think it ruins the habitat for the most part . Pushes the deer farther back in or away from the area . 227 was where I got my first buck back in the late 80’s . Was only a spike but was a great day for me . Saw deer there every time I was out . Think the most deer I saw at one time was around 15 . Great spot to hunt . Thanks for sharing this it’s definitely a shame how the commission is handling things .

People are not out there to Hunt. They want to dress in orange and make as much noise as possible.

This hurts my heart to hear. It's like they are intentionally trying to destroy our natural way of surviving. Attack the farmer's and now attacking the wild. I hate knowing that between the poachers and the government, our natural habitat is being destroyed. Living in the world with inconsiderate boneheads.

As hunter numbers decline PGC and DCNR have realized the future is in timber revenue not hunting license sales for the PGC.

bought a savage 110 trail hunter in 7mm rem mag, absolute tac driver and love it. except the weight way to heavy. sold it and bought a howa 1500 in 7mm prc

have a 8 year old excalibur and noticed that one limb was cracked this august , called excalibur and they sent me 2 new limbs within 10 days no questions asked and no charges even for shipping. now if only other companies would respond to their customers this well.

Anytime I see a limb saver barrel deresonator on a rifle I immediately think 2 things……. 1. The owner of the rifle will buy anything to make a rifle shoot better….2 the rifle don’t shoot well out of the box…… and to me If I can’t get a rifle to shoot moa or better without stupid little 10 dollar gimmicks I trade it in and buy or build something else

When I bought mine I chose the English walnut stock. I love it!

All over deer. Paint the southern border purple and make it a felony.

Dont trade it off for a Savage. Take a look at stocks from GRS such as the Hunter lite and Fenris.

For the money and all the plastic I’d rather just buy a model 70 or a Ruger M77(I own all three). CRF, no magazine, steel trigger guard and floor plate.

I've never owned a Tikka but I've handles a few. Feature to feature , I like the Sauer 100 classic better.

I don't like detachable magazines period. True, light weight rifles, are not steady offhand. Learn to use a sling, it helps. I packed my buttstock with plastic bags. Savage, piece of Styrofoam in the stock. No.issues with tarnish. T3x, roughtec, 243, 1-8 twist! Likes 100 grain pills, I wanted that.

I took a chance on the Benelli Lupo B.E.S.T model, have had it for two years now. It is honestly the best rifle I’ve ever taken into the woods. Still to this day I’m frequently shocked with how good it is. Traded in all three of my Tikka rifles and picked up another lupo just recently. It is just as amazing as my first one. Out of the tikkas one of them had uneven thickness in the cerakote on the receiver and began to flake. My stainless model started rusting after one season in the field(properly protected and stored). I never was bothered by the plastic stock but when the finish has issues over multiple models, I draw the line. To much money to spend on lacking quality. Best of luck and happy hunting.

Rifles are tools just like hammers and circular saws. They all do the same thing, launch a bullet. Beyond that, it’s all personal preference and training. Tikka does an excellent job of launching those bullets. You mention the rifle not pointing well and that’s something you usually only hear with shotguns, not scoped rifles. That sounds like a training issue to me.

80% percent of your cons on this rifle you knew before you bought it like a plastic stock and magazine and it clearly states thats a lite model rifle just saying maybe you should research before you buy and im not trying to be rude just making a statement.
