Router Plane from AliExpress Unboxing
(EN)
This is an unboxing video of a Router plane that I purchased on aliexpress site. I believe it was one of the cheapest of all variations of router plane there is. The hole in the package shows care and attention to the packaging process. Flatess of the sole of the plane proves accuracy of the machining. I did not record first use of the plane since it was much later after unboxing. Butterfly nut which "fixating" the knife was always losing up while working. So I had to tighten it often or to use pliers to tight it up. Once it loosen, your work is subject to spoilage. I could not return this item because i opened it much after I could send it back. For the rough job I think this is acceptable, but to bring the work to the higher standard one should spend extra time.

I also work in a very small space and it does make things more difficult. I saw you are trying to get a coping saw - that will make this much easier. As someone else said, a better more stable bench will help a lot and a mallet will make chiselling easier. Nice work 👍

That doesn't tell us anything apart from good packaging and what looks like a decent build quality. You should have checked how flat the plane surface was, if the blade rear is correct and also bevel edge etc.

Thank you for taking your time to tell me what is good for viewers. Actually, the idea was to show what you get from that website, condition, no spare blade, quality. We can see that my lever cap had chip. We can see the oil on the blade. İ didn't see any of it before buying. I just saw similar planes. Turned out real unboxing video. Video of unpacking customer product. I have never used this plane since. When I will, I need to make sure I record it's preparation video. cheers.

Rite Attawood Dude, nice handle and use of tools, I do the same for saws and planes I find, I contour them to fit my hands for comfort! A coping or fret saw would save you a lot of time and are not to expensive. A custom made handle be it saw or plane is just the best to work with. Stay safe n well. TFS, GB :)
